This review is a bit late but I just couldn't connect with this series so it took me some time to finish both titles. That said, I don't think I will read the other books that followed, some of the main characters decisions made no sense and I am really not invested in seeing the end.

Chloe Liese has quickly become one of my auto-buy authors. She’s a spitfire was absolute delightful and I love this series!

Chloe Liese could write a phone book and I would still buy it without question!

Thank you so much for an arc of She’s a Spitfire by Chloe Liese in exchange for an honest review.

I love Chloe Liese’s writing and how she develops her characters. I’ve discovered that Some of the tropes in this book are not ones I connect with, but I know a lot of readers will love! I definitely recommend picking up Liese’s books!

The lead female in She's a Spitfire has a lot of interesting qualities, which at times makes it hard to like her. The book took me a long time to read as it was easy to put down in order to pick up something that was more of a page turner with likable characters.

I love the characters in this series. They all have their individual charm and I love how inclusive they are. An H with a disability is so rare to see! Nairne and Zed just work well together and I truly love how they get along.

Initial Thoughts:

I picked this book up immediately after the first one and it was still an easy-to-read romance!

In the sequel, our main couple faces romantic troubles as they might be oceans away from each other. The mafia aspect of our male lead's life is threatening to ruin what they have.

Overall, I love the developments. Still as steamy as the first one and I love them even more now!

I download this book since I had downloaded the first in the series. However I ended up not finishing the first one as it just wasn’t for me. So I will not be reading the sequel.

As I stated in my review of the first book in this series, it took me a long time to finally read this book.

It is not a standalone book and continues on where it left off in book one.
Zed is in Boston trying to get the mafia thing sorted out, while Nairne is about to go back to London. Zed’s character was still demanding and pushy and Nairne got stung by the “I’ll fix it all” bug.

I am so glad that the second book in this series was approved at the same time as this one, because as soon as I finish typing here I'm going to start reading the second book.

Exciting, full of love & adventure and highly addictive, this book was so much more than I could have hoped for.

I love the plot idea of this book. It has a lot of interesting elements and tropes but I guess it's somehow way too much for these few pages. It's like a good fanfiction where everyone is beautiful and talented and a genius and has always the right friends which are needed becuase everyone has this hard/sad/tragic background. But on the other hand it doesn't get boring or has any lengths because there is always something going on.
In the end it's not for me.

Romance, drama and super steam! this book is everything I look for in a contemporary romance. Picking up where He's A Brute leaves off. Nairne is poised to leave for a fellowship in London, while Zed is in Boston trying to extricate himself from the mafia.I loved where the author took this story. With diverse characters and super strong heroine, this was a great read. Female empowerment for the win!

This is book two in a series and they are not stand alones. The story continues where the other book left it: Nairne is about to go back to London and Zed is little by little trying to erase the undercover crime of Boston. Too bad the current timetable for that doesn’t work for Nairne any longer, so she tries to take the matters into her own hands.
Similar to the first book in the series, I enjoyed the writing style.
Unfortunately I found the posssessive behaviour that Zed had towards Nairne very triggering because I have previously experienced this behaviour in my past relationships.

A big thank you to NetGalley and NetGalley Connect for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book.

In continuation from book 1, Nairne and Zed fight valiantly to make it work between the two of them. I enjoyed this one a s much as much as He's A Brute. Filled with action, suspense, sexy times and a bit of drama thrown in made this captivating story a real treat for me. Loved it! 4 stars****

The second book in this trilogy picks up right where the first book ends. As Zed is trying to wrap up his lengthy quest to cut ties with the Mafia, Nairne is finishing up her studies and unknowingly draws the stalker from her past back into her world. Nairne truly shines throughout this story, she is strong and fierce, loyal and stubborn, and I love her character! I sped through the pages with all the wit, banter, steam and intimacy continuing from the first installment alongside some action and suspense, I couldn’t put it down and I don’t want to spoil anything! I can’t wait to read how everything wraps up in They’re a Match!

Just when I though I couldn't get anymore invested in these characters. This book not only brings you deeper into whole Zed and Nairne are as people, but in their relationship as well. You dive why each of them do what they do and you progress in their love along with them. The antagonist is thrown in and you know its coming, you may connect who it will be, and you will still be thrown for a loop when it all comes down to it. Moral of my review :: good drama, good antagonist, good character build.

I really wanted to like this series. I think the plot is intriguing and different from anything else I read lately. However, I just couldn’t seem to get invested in these characters. It was well written and well plotted but just not for me.

An engaging and entertaining read, be warned, it has a lotta foul language of which I’m not sold on. But that is only expected when dealing with the mob I guess. The storyline is quite an interesting one, riddled with deceit, jealousy, and greed, ample fuel for an in house war. Nairne and Zed had to lose each other before finding the right sequence that works for them, so they can be together.
