Wow.. just wow... unfortunately t his book was HORRIBLE. the writing was mechnical with no emotion or real talent behind it. while the concept itself sounded great.. the book failed. sorry.

I mostly consider myself a lenient reader and forgive many mistakes authors make or try to get past writing styles that don’t work with me, but this book was really bad.. The writing is mechanical, robotic and completely devoid of soul or emotion. The author tells stories like a 15 year old boy bragging about how great he is and it occasionally felt like the reader was being “mansplained”. The concept of the book sounded thrilling and evocative but the book fell flat in its face. I tried to enjoy it but ended up reading a few paragraphs to a friend who had the same reaction, terrible...
