I was only able to read a few pages as the rest were unable to load because of formatting issues I believe. I tried troubleshooting to no avail.
I think the concepts that I saw were convincing and well written. I would have really enjoyed reading the whole book; perhaps I will be able to get my hands on a print copy sometime.
Honest and in-depth advice for reaching your full potential. This advice is presented in easy to follow language that can be broken up and applied in pieces at a time.
Thank you, NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for a review!
This book was interesting. Some parts even felt educational. It was a good read.
I understand that I received an ARC of this book, however, the formatting was so off, it was incredibly difficult to read.
I didn't love this book. It really focuses on slowing down - which is important. But yet, this book was marketed towards women who are incredibly busy and I think there is more to self-care than just slowing down. It did have some good messages throughout the book, but overall, it just felt meh to me.
For me, it was just an okay book. Nothing more, nothing less. It had some nice illustrations, some nice ideas, thought-provokig questions and so on, but I felt it wasn't anything new under the sun.
Although the advance review copy was difficult to navigate due to formatting, I can appreciate the content in this book. There are a lot of thought-provoking questions in this book. I'd recommend using this as a workbook, perhaps using the questions/prompts to journal.
This book is a great guide to self care. It is filled with ideas and exercises to help you to have more self care it is very in depth. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
A good journal/workbook to start on self care. There are stories, information and journal entries from her daughter's journal - which she explains early on. The prompts, questions and quizzes have space to write your response. This one can be a great help if wanting a place to put pen to paper.
A very interesting and useful book I couldn't put down and gave me a lot of interesting ideas.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
Admittedly, I did have some formatting problems with this book but it didn't stop me from loving it. This is a book that all women need to read - trust me, you'll feel better for it!
Very good book full of points that needed to be taken to heart. Something I think most women need to read and be reminded by.
This is a good book on self-care tips and tricks. The book has places to journal and reflect, which many people will like having. Ultimately, I don't think it brought anything new that I haven't already heard before, but I enjoyed reading it and it reminded me that it's ok to say no, it's ok to take time for myself, and it's ok to hit the pause button once in a while.
This book didn't bring much to the table - the first whole half was about slowing down and saying no, which I thought didn't fit well with the way this book was marketed, since its for Busy Women. Also, the format for kindle was awful and should be fixed before publication.
I requested this book because I thought it was interesting it focused solely on self care. Other self help books usually dedicate this topic to a chapter, or at most a section. Worth reading while trying to reset. Must read for anyone curious about how to feel better about yourself.
Due to the formatting, as an ARC this title did not translate well on my e-reader. I missed the beauty of the artwork, etc. However, the foundation story of the creation was riveting and really made me question myself. I liked how simple things could be. I will be preordering a copy and hoping to start taking better care of myself.
