I loved The Kissing Contract!! Marshall and Gus were so cute together and I loved how they had to work together to find each bunny a new home. These two characters had this amazing chemistry and this story just flew by for this reader. This is my first book by Ms. Andrews but it won’t be my last because I adored this story. Such a fun, flirty and exciting romance.

I loved this book. Marshall, Gus and the island of rabbits charmed me from beginning to end. The story was funny, sweet, melancholy, smart, sexy and filled with little bunnies. What more could you ask for? The only negative was that the author had me seriously yearning for a bunny of my own. (And I wouldn’t mind a guy like Marshall, too!) I would definitely have adopted Thumper if I could have. I’m hoping that Marshall’s brother will be getting his own story eventually. Definitely recommended.
Note: This title was given to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

oh this book will give you the feels. Gus aka Augusta and Marshall did not meet in the best of ways. They actually met in court. Marshall owns his own Construction business and was going to bulldoze Hitchkins Island that his brother Jeremy and himself inherited from their grandfather. Problem is there are rabbits that are on the Island. The rabbits need to be removed before demolition can happen. Marshall doesn't see why he can't remove the rabbits. Things take a turn when the opposing council comes in and Marshall assumes the vet Gus is the attorney. Gus thinks Marshall is rude and doesn't care about the rabbits. After Marshal and Gus go back and forth the judge sees the sparks from them and decides to make them work together to remove the rabbits. The fun begins once Marshal and Gus both arrive early to the island.

This book is so sweet and fun. You have a very manly guy who is so sweet and ends up being a closet bunny lover. Gus is smart and little awesome in her nerdy love for rabbits. This book is wrote in dual POV with some sexy scenes added in. I really enjoyed this book and hope Jeremy has a book.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

Good God did this get steamier than I was expecting. So, yes, that did mean I had to flip past a few pages, but as for the romance itself? Gorgeous, sweet and absolutely adorable. And how could it not be? When you're around bunnies - everything is adorable, no? From their first court-room encounter, to their time on the island, there has always been heat between Marshall and Augusta (Gus). Bonding over past experiences and scars and trying to wrangle 200 odd bunnies certainly strengthens their relationship I'd say.
Overall, a lovely novel to curl up with, with some nice tea by your side.

I am a HUGE fan of Amy Andrews. Her books are usually fun reads that are highly entertaining. The Kissing Contract, though, felt like it was lacking...something. The main characters Gus & Marshall were likable enough, and the minor characters--everyone from the Bunnyguards to the actual bunnies themselves--were fun to read about. But ultimately I think the premise was just a bit too far-fetched for me to really get into the book. It was still an enjoyable read--and certainly not enough to make me stray from my Amy Andrews loyalty--but I'm glad The Kissing Contract wasn't my introduction to Amy, or else she probably wouldn't be among my favorite "escape in a romance novel" authors.

It is my first read by Amy Andrews and I have to say I absolutely loved it. A bit of a slower burn than I usually prefer but this bunny story was pretty freaking hilarious. Gus and Marshall could've set that island on fire with all that chemistry! The afterword had me in stitches too. It absolutely slays me that people want to find reality in a romance novel and will complain about minutia, so I loved Amy's comments at the end of the book. Definitely looking forward to reading more!

The Kissing Contract by @amyandrewsbooks follows Augusta and Marshall. They meet in court when Marshall is intent on clearing the land of an island his family owns in order build cabins for families. One small problem. Someone released a few domesticated bunnies onto the island and they've been repopulating like crazy. The bunnies need to be removed before any construction can take place. Enter Dr. Gus North who shows up in court to petition that way in which Marshall wants to remove the rabbits.

The judge hands them an ultimatum and they must compromise. Soon they find themselves both stuck on the island with rabbit removal and unable to stop thinking about each other. Their attraction is palpable. It only makes sense that they lay some ground rules i.e. no kissing to keep it as professional as possible.

I really enjoyed this one. I wasn't sure at first how I’d feel about the rabbit storyline but I loved watching Marshall and Gus fight their attraction to one another. This one is definitely a slow burn but those steamy scenes paid off. This one is out NOW if you're looking for a cute, quick, one-day romance to get lost in!

Who would have thought bunnies would be so effective at driving a plot and bringing two people together. I sure as hell wasn't expecting it, and yet here I am, madly in love with Marshall and Gus as a couple, and as individuals. All thanks to a few bunnies doing what they do best on an island without predators.

For a book with ONE penetrative sex scene, this was one of the hottest books I've read this year. The tension between Marshall and Gus was off the charts. And it shows that shoving it in is not actually necessary for a good time. My lordy. These two. We're kept waiting for that one scene, but all the build-up was delicious. That being said, I would have still welcomed more. Other people (and rabbits) were going at it a lot more than these two, and that's completely unfair to them and us.

Gus (Augusta) and I are a lot alike. Ok, yes, I'm not a supermodel by a long way, but I don't like rushing into intimacy. Hell, for someone who loves dirty jokes and sexy books as much as I do, I feel super weird when guys rush into sexual flirtation too quickly. (#demilife.) So her hesitance to jump into anything, and her lack of trust in men in general, was very relatable. I also looooved that she was a vet. In another life, I would have studied zoology and worked with animals like Gus does, and even if Amy made up a lot of the process (she admits to as much in a very funny author's note at the end), it still was a fun ride. It also allowed Marshall and us as readers to focus on how amazing Gus is as a competent woman (who can desex animals with a scalpel).

Marshall came across as a bit douchey at first, but he very quickly won me over. Like, almost instantly. We learn why he's so eager to tear apart the island fairly quickly, so we can focus on falling in love and watching Gus try not to fall in love for most of the book. I'm really glad about that, as it had me very invested in them as a couple almost from the start. I really loved that Marshall was not overly ripped, didn't have a monster dick, and was successful even though he dropped out of high school (for a reason). He was just such a normal guy... except he's not like many guys I know because he understood Gus' limits and didn't pressure her to do things she'd regret while drunk and had the patience to wait her out. And he found it hot that she was so smart! Why can't more guys be like that! (But then Amy is a woman and knows what I want to read.)

If you're on the lookout for competent heroines, feminist heroes, rough hands but gentle hearts, and bunnies, do yourself a favour and read this book.

I really enjoyed this book about Marshall and "Gus" This book was laugh out loud funny. You have a napkin contract and you just know that is meant to be broken. Throw in some bunnies on an island and laughter ensues. I have enjoyed other books by Amy Andrews and was happy to read another great book!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I am not sure but I think this is part of a series, but it reads as a stand alone. I thought this was amazingly silly! Found it hard to believe but it did make me laugh. This is a silly, fluff piece that many will enjoy. I found its not really my cup of tea. I rate it 3 stars.

This had a cute idea of pairing a man who just wants to change a bad memory and open up a little island which had been closed. He wants to give the locals a place they never had. The woman he falls for is the one who is in his way...the champion of Bunnies.

It seems the island has been overrun by them and these bunnies did what bunnies do...make more bunnies.

Now, these two have to spend a month alone on the island rounding up said bunnies and not fall for each other.

Good Luck

I wanted an afternoon's escape, and Amy Andrew's provided just that with The Kissing Contract. The primary couple had a meet cute moment, and the enemies to lovers story was off and running. The primary couple were engaging, the hero perhaps a little stronger than the heroine. I would have liked to have seen more growth in her character. The secondary characters, especially the hero's brother, were really intriguing (sequel, perhaps?). All in all, The Kissing Contract was entertaining and I will read more from Ms Andrews. 3.5

The Kissing Contract by Amy Andrews is a fun and entertaining read.

I enjoyed the storyline, it held my interest from start to end and I loved watching Marshall and Augusta/Gus relationship unfold.
I enjoyed their banter and I enjoyed the feelings they brought out in each other.
These two might have started out as enemies but feelings soon take a different turn and I was happy they opened their hearts to each other.

The Kissing Contract is a lovely, entertaining friends to lovers read and I highly recommend it.

The Kissing Contract is Amy Andrews' newest stand-alone novel. The main characters of the story are Marshall and Augusta who goes by Gus. There was a lot of bad blood between Marshall and his grandfather which shaped in some ways the man he is now. The grandfather was a douche, so I was totally on Marshall's team. In his will, the grandfather left a whole island to Marshall's brother and now the two brothers have big plans for it. Well, at least they had until 200 bunnies got on their way. And that's how Gus got into Marshall's life. No, she is not a bunny, but she is the one who is going to take them away and find them new homes in order for the brothers to continue with their plans. Marshall and Gus are forced by the court to work together and that's how their story begins.

The book was easy to read and a good companion on a hot summer afternoon. While it didn't have a wow factor, I liked reading it and I found the whole bunny ordeal entertaining. I liked Marshall more than I liked Gus. There was something about her that didn't click for me. Still, I had no problem with her or any parts of the book and I would recommend it.
