When Cole calls Sarah his angel, he isn't kidding. She sees the best in people. She gives and gives and lets people walk all over her because that's what 'they' need to do. She's all about making people feel good. She cares about everyone... including the man who keeps leaving her presents, hoping for forever, a forever she has no intention of giving him. When she finally gets fed up of her feelings of fear, she reaches out to a security agency, which then refers her to Cole for some self-defense training and whoever's after her will have to get through him first.

I loved the almost instant connection between Sarah and Cole. It was super sweet and then turned super hot. Yeah, I'm one of those romance readers who loves a great instalove story and this one turned into an awesome one. With a little suspense sprinkled in, a ton of insights from intriguing side characters, and plenty of heart, Claiming Sarah is an easy recommendation to make.

A sweet, innocent woman who would never hurt a fly finds herself scared and alone when no one believes that the man leaving her things on her door step is dangerous. Her institution tells her that one day things will escalate and the danger is very real. Taking the step to protect herself she finds herself waiting to meet a man about some self-defense lessons. That however does not go as expected. He is rude and arrogant, though not exactly speaking to her, so she does what she always does, the nice thing and leaves. He however chases her, beyond apologetic and begs her to let him teach her. The attraction is instantly there, for both of them, though she takes a little longer to come around at first. They spend as much time as possible together whilst constantly aware of the danger lurking in the shadows. Passion and action packed romance is something you come to expect with Susan Stoker and you get it in spades with this one. For those of you who have read this series before you will meet a lot of old friends and their loved ones, on numerous occasions, catching up and falling in love with them all over again. If your like me and you are new to the Ace Security crew, it won't be a problem not having read the others, though I plan on doing just that, you'll enjoy it just as much as the old pros. I sweet and satisfying ending to the story and the series, I enjoyed every minute of it, and hopefully, so will you!

Claiming Sarah is the fifth book in the Ace Security series, but reads well as a stand alone. Sarah has been getting letters and gifts from an admirer, but while nothing seems threatening, something is still making her nervous. She is referred to Cole for some self defense classes, just in case. Their first meeting might not have been the best, but soon their connection is getting stronger and stronger. But with the threat looming, will Cole be able to keep his promises and keep Sarah safe?

Oh my goodness, my attention was caught right from the very beginning with this book and was hooked until the very end! This book is emotional, so sweet, full of heart and connection, and I absolutely loved Sarah and Cole! Sarah was such an amazing character to me because she was sweet and a little shy, but strong and trusted her own intuition. I loved how nice and selfless she was with other people, but she wasn’t naive. Her character just seemed really relatable to me, and I would love to become her best friend if she were a real person! Cole was just as amazing because he was strong, a fighter, patient, and cautious. I loved that he was real with Sarah right from the beginning, didn’t sugarcoat his flaws, and he seemed like such a steady rock for emotions, even if he was messy sometimes. He was an intriguing contradiction of characteristics that helped fit with Sarah perfectly! I love that Sarah’s situation was a little different than might have been expected, but it was still dangerous and creepy and I loved every second of the suspense in this book! The characters, the connection, the steam, the danger, everything about this book was engaging, entertaining, and might be one of my favorites from Ms. Stoker!

It’s no secret that I’m a Susan Stoker fan. I loved her books long before I ever met her at a signing, then I discovered she’s super fun to chat with and hang out with. And honestly, I’ve yet to read one of her books that I didn’t like or couldn’t finish. Claiming Sarah was no different. The author usually touches on a deep subject or two in each of her books without seeming to shove her thoughts and feelings on the subject(s) down your throat. This book touches on foster care, adoption by gay couples, and stalking. It’s a well-developed story with all the steamy romantic scenes we expect from Susan Stoker. The characters are lovable, and of course, a bit flawed which makes them even more likable.

NICUnurse’s Rating: For a quick, entertaining read, you can count on Susan Stoker to deliver. As I said, I’ve yet to read a book of hers that I didn’t like or didn’t finish. I give Claiming Sarah 4 out of 5 stars!

Sarah didn’t feel particularly any time of the day anymore. Sarah Sarah hated that she felt so vulnerable and unsure - she never used to feel that way all the time. The first time Sarah had met her dad she was six, and he got on his knees in front of her and promised she’d be safe with him. Cole ran after Sarah and apologized for the conversation she had overheard. Sarah had went to Rock Hard Gym for self defense lessons she so badly needed. With the oddest feeling this decision was going to change her life. Cole talked her into going back to the gym with him. Logan Anderson had personally asked Cole to handle Sarah’s lessons. Cole wanted to impress Sarah for some weird and unknown reason . it was than concern for a woman who was obviously at the end of her rope. There was her vulnerability that touched him deep inside. He sensed a spine of steel, stronger than even she could ever know. Sarah finally said she met owen Murhrose six months ago. His mother was in the hospital when Sarah and she was very sick. She said she was nice to both of them. Owen was slow, his mom said he had been in special classes in school, and had lived with her his entire life. His mother had asked Sarah to spend some time with Owen so she went to lunch with him in the cafeteria. A few weeks later she heard Owen’s mother had died. Than Sarah started getting letters from him. A receptionist at work had given owen her address. After the letters gifts started coming.: flowers, candy, and stuffed animals. The cops had told her he probably had a crush on her and he was harmless. But she told Cole” Don’t ask me how I know, It’s a weird vibe I I get when I see he’s sent something, but I know their wrong.” Cole’s mind wandered over the things he wanted to know about her : which hospital she worked at, what she did there, why people were mean to her … why she felt the need to always be nice. Cole was going to talk to Blake and Alexis see what they could find out what they could find out about Owen, Sarah, and her situation. When she came home she found a huge box on her front steps. Frustration and fear went through her. She hated Owen continued to show up at her house. She hated he knew where she lived. The house was too big for her but it was all she even known and contained all she had left of her two dads Mike And Jackson Butler. They had adopted her when she was six. She had been scared of her own shadow at that time, she had already lived in three previous foster homes. Sarah had virtually no social life. She worked odd hours and when she did have time off she found herself catching up on chores or sitting on the coach binge watching one show or another. There was something about Cole that made her feel safe when he was by her side.
An excellent story. It had a lot of action and suspense. I loved Sarah and Cole together. They might not have been together long but they seemed to be the one for each other and I loved it. I loved the Anderson brothers and how they dropped everything to help Cole and use any and all the resources I had. I loved how Felicity and the other women became Sarah’s friends and they really cared about her. I loved how Sarah did everything she could to protect herself. I was glad cole and the Anderson brothers believed Sarah about her fears concerning Owen. Cole and Sarah had hot chemistry. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

CLAIMING SARAH (Ace Security Book 5) by Susan Stoker is the last romantic suspense book in the Ace Security series. This story does have crossover characters from the other books, but it is easily read as a standalone and makes me want to go back and read the others.

Sarah Butler is a nursing assistant who loves her job, but she is now having difficulty with the son of an ex-patient who keeps sending her intimate notes and gifts. There have been no threats, just a weird feeling on Sarah’s part, so the police and Ace Security do not believe there is a problem and just tell her to take self-defense classes at Rock Hard Gym and let them know if she receives an overt threat. When she shows up at the gym, she overhears the co-owner trying to get the receptionist to brush her off and she walks out.

When Cole Johnson realizes he just sent the “Sarah” that Ace Security sent his way, he runs out to apologize and try to get her to come back. Cole has an instant and intense attraction to Sarah; her gentleness and innocence make her his “angel”. Sarah also cannot explain why Cole makes her feel safe, but her fears disappear when he is around. Cole believes Sarah’s instincts and gets Ace Security working on her case as they become closer. Sarah has a premonition she will disappear and no one will come looking for her or be able to find her.

Sarah’s premonition becomes reality and Cole will stop at nothing to find his “angel”.

I loved everything about Sarah. She is sweet, loving and forgiving. I agree with Cole that she is a special person who needs to be protected and I wish there were more people like her in this world. Cole is a great hero for Sarah with his alpha attitude, rough edges, tattoos but a core of love and protectiveness for her. The sex scenes are explicit and steamin’ hot. I was very satisfied with the compassionate way Ms. Stoker handled the resolution of the climax of this story, also.

This is a suspenseful romantic suspense with a lot of heart and memorable characters.

Claiming Sarah is the 5th title in Susan Stoker's ACE Security series. Like the other books in this series, this one too can be read as a stand-alone.

Claiming Sarah was a pretty good book. Like any stalker, you may never know how serious they may be out their attraction to you. Particularly when you start to receive unusual gifts left at your front entrance. With the police unsuited to help her, since there is no law about a secret admirer giving you gifts. Sarah proceeds to get ACE Security involved with the assistance of Cole Johnson;

How excited I was to see Cole get his very own book. The chemistry between Cole and Sarah was what kept me turning the pages. But like any good thing, it must come to an end. It was a pleasure to find an author who knows how to close out a series on a high note.

Sarah is sweet, selfless and always willing to help others which is why she has embraced her career in health care. Her dads passed away a few years ago so she finds herself alone in the world except for the attention she is receiving from the son of a previous patient. The police believe he is harmless but his gifts are becoming more peculiar, so she heads to Rock Hard Gym to learn self defense.

Cole is not having a good day so when he is told that Sarah is there for her appointment he is less than gracious to his employee so she decides to leave rather than face him. He regrets his actions and follows her into the parking lot and soon realizes her concerns are very real and convinces her to give him a second chance.

As the chemistry between them escalates so does the danger to Sarah and when it all comes to a crescendo will he and Ace Security be able to keep her safe?

Sarah and Cole couldn’t be more different or more perfect for each other. This is romantic suspense at its finest.

Okay, let me start by saying that Cole is a hero we all want around, every day, all day! Both Cole and Sarah are just good people (even though Cole thinks he is not so good, I call bullsh*t on that). Their relationship is so sweet. There is a little bit of intrigue in this story as in all of Ms. Stoker’s stories but it was not too much in case you are a person who does not like too much angst. Just a lovely story of two beautiful (especially inside) people who make our reading days much happier.

This ARC was courtesy of netgalley - all thoughts and opinions are mine and unbiased
I also post to Amazon, Goodread, B&N, Kobo

This is the last in a series of books but I didn't feel I had missed out on the others as this can be read as a standalone

I enjoyed this

Well written, sympathetic characters which I quickly became invested in. It does bring in other characters that previous books in the series have covered their stories and I think its well worth seeking these out.

There is a little tension / mystery in here which gives the book an interesting twist - I did enjoy this - some twists I expected, others not so much

A good, quick summer read

This was such a sweet story, even though it had some less than nice, situations in it. It was always pretty darn sexy at times, as Cole claims Sarah as his own! Sarah is just an all around good person. Truly and honestly, she finds the goodness in everything, even though she isn’t perfect. She is doing nothing more than living the best life she can when something happens to her. When she finally takes action, everything still seems like nothing will change. Cole gives her the confidence she needs, and the promises she deserves. While Cole may think she is too good for him, her openness and honesty tugs at him, and he can’t turn away from her until she is his, and only his, forever

Another brilliant book set in the world of the Ace Security team and for the first time it isn't one of the brothers but rather their best friend and business partner of Felicity their half brothers wife Cole Johnson

When Sarah Butler starts receiving gifts she ignores it for a while but as the gifts become more intimate and more regular she goes to the police about it. There ism't a great deal they can do as they have no clues who is ending the gifts to her so they send her to Ace Security they also have no real leads so they recommend that she take personnel defence lessons and send her to their friend and owner of Rock Hard Gym. Cole is instantly attracted to Sara#h but she doesn't believe anyone as hot as him would be interested in a nobody like her but is instincts say that she is in extreme danger and as the threats escalate it will take not only him protecting her but the men of Ace Security to keep her safe and in the process maybe he will be able to win her heart

This is another roller coaster ride in this wonderful series there is always plenty of suspense and drama in any of Susan Stokers romantic suspense novels and this one is no exception

On the whole I liked Claiming Sarah however I wish it would have had a slightly faster pace. The end was also not quite what I was expecting. Let's just say that Sarah really is too nice. More like a 3 ½ stars.

Amazing!

Ms. Stoker has created a truly unique love ‘journey’ for Cole and Sarah. I couldn’t put it down.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Susan Stoker has wrapped up her Ace Security series with an A-Typical loyal, protective and self-sacrificing Hero, which is nothing short of what readers have come to expect. Sarah and Cole have an interesting relationship and their romance development is orchestrated beautifully. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and Ms Stoker’s character depictions are flawless. While it’s sad to see the series end, I look forward to what is to come from Ms Stoker in the future.

I have enjoyed the previous books in this series. Unfortunately, this book just didn't wow me. At all. It was all just too easy! Too insta love, to the point where I almost wanted to gag at how they kept going on and on about how awesome they each were. Cole was almost coming off as insincere with how often he was saying how lovely she was. We get it - Sarah has no faults. Literally, folks, none. She is a nursing assistant, volunteers at a children's adoption center, mows her elderly neighbor's lawn...the woman is a saint! I was waiting for there to be something that made her more human, but unfortunately, there wasn't anything. She was also so naive to the point of appearing dumb - she asks for help from a well-known security company, and they tell her to install cameras at her door. And then some time passes, and when they ask her if she did, she's like "Oops, sorry, I was so busy that I forgot." Right, so you were paranoid and afraid of this stalker, but you didn't even bother listening to the advice of experts? It seemed so weird. A TSTL moment, to be sure. And then she was so insecure about Cole, constantly going on and on about how she didn't want to be a burden, and if we hadn't had it drilled into our heads as readers how kind a person she is, I would have suspected her of looking for more attention. Unfortunately, I didn't buy into her character - give her some flaws! And I didn't see the attraction between her and Cole, it happened way too quickly and seemed off.

I recently discovered Ms. Stoker and have been reading a lot of her books. When I picked this book up I didn't realize that this one belongs to yet another series that I haven't read any books in. These stories are a quick read with a good does of action adventure and a lot of romance. The last thing frightened Sarah Butler needs is a self defense trainer who can't be bothered to make time for her. Fortunately Cole Johnson quickly realizes his mistake and follows her to the parking lot and makes good on teaching her self defense. He also brings his friends at Ace Security into the loop even though they originally referred Sarah to him rather than taking on her case directly.
Sarah is a nurse who is being stalked. Her admirer leaves her gifts and despite all the profiling and body guarding neither Cole nor the guys at Ace Security can find their stalker even though they have their suspicions. It's not until Sarah is kidnapped that Cole realizes how much she means to him and that he will stop at nothing to rescue her.
Be prepared to get emotionally vested in this story and to fall in love with the characters and to go back enough to go back and purchase the backlist of the stories in this series.

4 Someone Who Listened and Believed Stars
* * * *Spoiler Free
What do you do when someone keeps giving inappropriate gifts and they do not stop...At first, if you are Sarah, you try to figure out a positive way to deal with the situation. After all, that was the way she was raised...to deal with everything through kindness rather than hostility.

But when things are continuing and fear starts to creep in, Sarah goes to the police. Unfortunately, the police do not see the threat Sarah knows is there. The next step is to look out for herself. She goes to Ace Security and they have a detailed plan for her which includes her learning self-defense.

This is where Cole comes in. At first, the meeting between Cole and Sarah was not the best. He wasn't encouraging and downright mean. Then he took his head out of his A@@ and realized what was in front of him; a determined woman who needed his help. She also hit him in his heart and that was the game-changer.

Good thing Sarah was interested and drawn to Cole too. They both had this insta type of bonding and from that point forward, Cole was dedicated to making sure Sarah was safe and secure.

Only the stalker has other ideas...

This seems to be the last of this Ace Security series. Susan Stoker has taken her readers through the ups and downs of this crew and everyone is there to contribute to this story.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is book five in the series. I enjoyed the book but found it pretty unbelievable. That's okay as it's fiction. I liked Sarah and Cole. Sarah was almost to nice, I would have liked her more with a little grit. Overall a quick, fun summer read. 3.5 stars

. This is a sweet story. Cole and Sarah are different but fit together perfectly. There is suspense and danger in this romantic read. It has many good secondary characters that I would like to go back and read about.
