An insightful book considering the magnificat and exploring its meaningand depths. I liked that Corbitt brought so many things into this study: other parts of the Bible, her own past, the Church Fathers, and the history of Israel. I liked that unlike many books intended for goup or individual study this book was structured in a way that it need not be read in a group.

I liked that the chapters didn't end with questions for discussion or activities but instead ending with areas for thought and contemplation.

I only have one small complaint, I wish she was a better writer. There is so much good here, but a better writer would have made the book easier to read.
