I am a big fan of Rachel Brather’s Yoga Girl persona. To Love and Let Go is a memoir of some terrible losses in her life. It’s about how she tries to make sense of it to move on. I love her honesty and her willingness to share these personal moments. This book is a nice story and will inspire others to move on beyond grief, knowing they are not alone.

My complaint about the book is the choppy feeling of the books flow. It felt off and not very fluid. At times it made the book difficult to read.

I love following Rachel on Instagram, but find her writing style better suited to long captions than an entire memoir. She seems genuine and well-intentioned in the story and I am so happy she found peace, but I did not have a lot of takeaways.

I enjoyed reading this book, being a follower of yoga girl learning more about her personal story and journey was very eye opening as I never realized all the loss she was going through. I also thought this book was a good resource for my yoga studies and gave me a lot to think about and even a few events/retreats to look up.

I picked this book up and found it hard to put down to eat. I needed this book. It fell into my hands at the perfect time. I read spiritual insights the author had and I went yes, I understand, that's what I needed to hear. This memoir is insightful and beautiful. You feel like you are talking to a friend. I would highly recommend it.

I’ve seen the word “breathtaking” on the covers of so many books, and I always saw it as a bit dramatic. Until now. Now, I understand. This book is BREATHTAKING. Rachel Brathen’s beautiful, poetic account of loss, enlightenment, despair, and love left me breathless. If you are going through any kind of pain, READ THIS BOOK. If you are in a state of apathy about life, READ THIS BOOK. You will come out the other side with a renewed faith in trust, life, and love.

To Love and Let Good a emotional story that is written well. The story flowed well and takes you on a emotional rollercoaster.

The premise of this one intrigued me, but the execution fell flat. The writing style is good, and the story flows, but so many moments reek of white privilege and cultural appropriation without the author ever acknowledging it.
