As I had not read the other books in the series,found this one hard going too many characters to take in ,do I recommend reading the other books first,but what I had read a very heart warming book about friendship and loyalty.

I can honestly say i have loved being a part of the Mulberry Lane series because when you read you do feel as though you are there right in the lane.Peggy has had a hard time with Laurie and believing that the man she loved was dead,but finding the letter that laurie had hidden informing peggy that Able was alive.While waiting for a reply to the letters she had sent to find out where Able was.Then one day he walked into peggys kitchen and from there life in the lanes changed.I have enjoyed being a part of Mulberry family and now the war is over.If i could i would give more than 5* and say thank you to Rosie Clarke for a wonderful series of books.
