The most thoughtful and faithful treatment of the gun issue in America that I've ever read. This opened my eyes to how un-Christ-like the prevailing Conservative view of guns is, and what a different standard God calls his children to.

James Atwood has penned two previous works on gun violence: 1) America and Its Guns: A Theological Expose, and 2) Gundamentalism and Where It Is Taking America. This book takes a different look at gun violence in America by considering the costs to victim's family and friends, surivors family and friends, the local community, the states, and the nation. These cost ripple outward not unlike when a stone hits the water and creates ripples on the surface of the water.

This is good resource for those wishing to do something about gun violence in the United States. It has a resource list wit the following categories: 1) National Groups, and 2) Regional groups by states.

This is a book that needs to read and acted upon.
