If Cara can catch a break and apprehend a major felon it would help her families bounty hunter business. She has two major problems, one she would rather be finishing her degree for teaching and two Henry Kavenski doesn’t seem to be all that bad of a guy.
Henry just wants to be left alone but instead he keeps “bumping” into Cara. He wants to warn her away from her next bounty job before she gets hurt or something worse happens.
Risk it All was a really enjoyable book. It keeps the reader guessing until the very end.
First she enters a potential murderer's room, now she's concerned for his health?
At least she has some instincts.
Oh yeah, he's real murder-y.
She's got creepy Stuart at school and random cars trying to kill her. Great.
How does he know Stuart's last name?
Norah sounds resigned.
What is her kidnapper waiting for?
Honey, do you have any defensive driving skills? No.
She's a good sister.
These are really great action sequences.
Clever!
I don't get people who don't wear watches.
Life was my game.
He is so an undercover agent.
Ha, double negative!
At least this police force is not corrupt like the Langston one.
Haha!
I love research.
She really saved the day.
I loved this book. It needs to be a movie,
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I am a massive fan of Katie Ruggle, and I absolutely loved the first bounty hunter book and I couldn’t wait till the next one...and boy was it worth it. I loved Cara...her thought process and inner thought had me in stitches at times...and the fact she had no filter when talking to Henry made me love her even more. Henry was an interesting character,,,here we have a man accused of murder but after he lets cara leave and saves a dog, you start to think there is more than meets the eye. When Cara gets involved with Henry and ends up getting kidnapped, the reader is taken on an adrenaline filled ride...that car chase scene had me holding my breath. I don’t want to ruin any of the twist and turns, only that if you want to read about strong independent women, handsome and supporting men and kickass cases...this is the series for you. Can’t wait to read Norahs story next
This is the second in the series, but overall I was not lost in the plot. This one has Cara trying to help her sisters with the actual collection of the people who have skipped bail. Did I mention her 5 sisters work as bounty hunters? Cara usually does research, and is in college to become a kindergarten teacher. A lot of funny quips and adventures, especially with the hunky Henry, who she thinks is a murderer, but also kinda cute. Only thing that got a little tiresome was the length of them being on the run, from her being kidnapped, his rescue and then trying to outrun the bad guys. Not a lot of details to explain either, which cost a star. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this, and for the most part light hearted and fun read. Highly recommend.
The Pax sisters are bounty hunters. Cara works behind these scenes doing research but the family needs money badly. Their Mom is out on bail and has used the family home to secure the bail and she has disappeared. They need to find her before her next court appearance or lose their house. Cara has never actively chased a bounty before. She gets into trouble which also leads to some humerous moments.
This is a cute book. There is danger, suspense and romance. Cara is a quirky character who is a lot of fun. She tends to speak before thinking which leads to some cute dialogue. Thank you to net galley for n advanced readers copy.
This is the second book in Katie Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. We get to know Cara more and follow her as she attempts fieldwork in her family's bounty hunting business. Cara keeps referring to herself as a wannabe kindergarten teacher, but she is in school for it and works in her family's business as well. I think she sells herself short a lot. She tries to venture into fieldwork and ends up taking on more than she can handle. However, throughout her life-threatening situations, she shows that she can hold her own.
I enjoy Katie Ruggle's writing because there is usually a lot of action and some romance, but it's not super dark or heavy. Her characters are fun and down to earth. Though I do feel like the couple got to super-committed stage pretty quickly.
Risk It All is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Katie Ruggle. Ms. Ruggle has provided readers with a well-written book. I love the characters in this book! Cara and her sisters are bounty hunters. Cara usually works on research but feels the need to bring in some skips on her own to help her sisters. Henry Kavenski is a murder suspect and has skipped but Cara is on his trail. Cara and Henry's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every word of this book and look forward to reading more from Katie Ruggle in the future. Risk It All is part of the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I had such fun with this book and Cara is going on my favorite heroine's list. She was sweet, adorable, and little bit of quirky. She also had a great attitude no matter what situation she was in. I'm usually all about the heroes but she was just as good as he was in this.
Henry is the strong, silent type. He only showed hints of a smile when Cara would be cute with him. He seemed to get attached to her quickly and was very protective of her. I really adored these two. There is nothing better than finding a book where I loved both main characters.
Despite how drawn these two were together, this is a very slow burn. Mainly because there was a lot of action in this storyline. Cara seemed to get into trouble pretty quickly and often, and Henry spent a lot of his time protecting her.
I have not read the first book, which I am definitely going back and do, but I'm wondering if there is more information on the mom's situation in book one. There is enough mentioned in this one to not leave you lost though.
Fun read!
5 words ... When is the next one?
Really enjoying this series and the characters.
Thank you #netgalley and #SOURCEBOOKSCasablanca for the eARC.
In Risk It All, Cara pretty much stalks Henry to bring him in for the bounty on his head. It doesn't take long for him to change her mind about him. I love it when a "bad guy" turns good.
Risk It All, gives us a little more drama and clues in the, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series.
You wouldn’t think the story starring the sister studying to become a kindergarten teacher would be an adrenaline filled thrill ride but it is. This story is filled with action, adventure and danger. I loved it. This story had me holding my breath and crossing my fingers. Our unlikely heroine bagged the biggest bad a$$ of them all.
Cara is a quirky kindergarten teacher wanna be who is roped into the family bounty hunting business. She is after tall stoic and handsome Henry, a suspected murderer who has skipped bail. The plot is filled with thrills and suspense- and some sexy times too. Cara’s internal and external dialog was so funny I laughed out loud. With this example of Ms. Ruggle’s type of plot and these characters I immediately went online to purchase the first in another of her series!
I would highly recommend this book to my patrons.
Cara and her sisters are bounty hunters who do what they have to to makes ends meet. Their mother is a thief who was arrested and she put up their house as collateral to make bail. Then she skipped out leaving the girls to pick up the pieces. Cara usually does research but she decides to go into the field to pick up Henry, a suspected double murderer. Things aren't what they seem and before too long Cara and Henry are on the run trying to avoid getting killed. This is the latest book in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. Lots of action, suspense, and romance make this a great read!
This is the second book in the Rocky Mountain bounty hunters series, I have loved both books in this series. I really like the 3 sisters who are bounty hunters, this author does a great job of producing characters that you
really like. Waiting for the next book in this series and I am recommending this series to my customers
Cara tried to make money for her family who is financially struggling by bringing in a bounty. She puts herself at risk and ultimately makes herself a target. The setting is so descriptive it actually reminded me that I am terrified of heights. The characters are multifaceted. I enjoyed this book immensely and will seek out other work by this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this book the most of the current series. It was a good quick read with just the right amounts of suspense, romance and fun.
This is Cara and Henry book, this is the second book in the Rocky Mountain bounty hunters series! I have read both books but you don’t have to in order to enjoy this book! Cara and her sisters are all female bounty hunters although Cara really never wanted to do that! But if her dreams of leaving the family business want to come true she’s got one last job to finish! The only problem is she doesn’t think her last job is guilty! Henry is a man with innocence to prove! When he realizes that Cara believes him, he’ll do anything to protect her! This book had my heart pounding almost the entire book! I really really enjoyed reading this one! The car chase was like the best scene ever I could picture it all as if it was a movie LOL it really had my adrenaline pumping! I highly recommend reading this book and series! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
