What a tease! I can't wait to read more about Eden and how he navigates the world with his famous older brother Day. I loved Legend and I can't wait to see where the story goes!
Not only will my library be buying this book, but we will be buying multiple copies! The Legend series is a longtime favorite with my students, and they have been so excited to see what comes next (as have I!).
In a blink of an eye, I finished Rebel. As in - wait... It's over?!? The characters are so easy to relate to and as always, Lu excels at allowing everyone to perfectly see the story play out as it's happening. This was just the first few chapters ARC now I have so many more unanswered questions....
We pick up with Daniel (Day) and Eden and swoon... I need to know SO much more!! #NetGalley
Marie Lu returns readers to the world of June and Day in this highly anticipated conclusion of the Legend series. Written in Lu’s distinct style, readers will appreciate the alternating narratives that brings us closer to our favorite characters — including Eden, the brother that Day would go to the ends of the Earth for.
Cannot wait to read this book in full. Gotta admit I was bummed to see this was only a chapter teaser, but now I want to read it more than ever. I didn't know it was going to be about Day's brother, Eden, but I'm excited to see where everyone picks up after Champion!
Looking forward to finishing this latest title in the Legend series. I was really disappointed that I only had 68 pages to read and note have to wait 2 weeks to grab it for myself! Lu has a way of building a story that sucks you in. She weaves in contemporary problems and issues that we should be attempting to fix in our own society. She's not afraid to call out those issues. Can't wait to finish.
Thanks to Netgalley and Aladdin for the advance readers copy of this book. Al opinions are my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for this immensely important middle grades book. When a group of boys start harassing Mila at school, she is uncomfortable. They do not seem to be doing anything that seems bad to a casual observer, but weeks of unwanted touching, bumping, and comments lead her to spiral downward mentally and shrink into herself. She does not feel like she can explain the feeling to anyone, even her friends. I think EVERY middle school student should read this book.
Wished this had actually been the whole book instead of a sampler. What I read was definitely interesting, though, and has me intrigued enough to get the book from the library once it comes out.
It was a great read. I think fans of the series will be really happy with this continuation so many years later.
Tease, oh what a tease this was! Only a sample of the book and I can't wait to jump into this book and find out more of what happens to Day, June, and Eden! Bring on Rebel! Did anyone else already want to shake Eden though or was that just me?
I was provided with an electronic ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
For everyone who wondered what had become of June and Day, here's your chance to find out! Introducing Rebel also gives librarians a good chance to go back and publicize and booktalk the Legend series!
Okay, when I opted in on this, I did not see that this was just a chapter sampler and not the whole book, so I was slightly disappointed. That said, all this did was whet my appetite for more of this book! I'm excited to read the whole thing when it releases!
I didn't realize that this was just a chapter sampler but it definitely had me hooked. I was captivated by the society that has been built in Antarctica and how society was organized. I definitely look forward to reading the rest of this book. It definitely started out really well.. Without knowing how the rest of the story goes I'll give it 4 stars for a great start. I'm confidant that it would end up being a 5 star review.
While this is only a part of the next book, it leaves you with an itch to find out what happens in this outstanding next book in the Legend series. While I wait for the rest of the book, I picked up the first three again just to make sure I was following this story correctly. Amazing characters, amazing plot. This is a must read for 2019.
Gah!! Why oh why is this only a sampler?! I cannot wait for October to come. I am already engrossed and in love with the story. This is certainly a book that I will be telling family and friends about.
I was so excited to be approved for this e-ARC until I realized it was only a glimpse into the book. Imagine my disappointment. I forgot how much I miss Day and June, and I can’t wait for the book to come out. Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group for this eARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
It's nice to be back in the world of Legend, but I have to admit that I thought this was the full size book, so it was a bit disappointing that this was just an excerpt. I like that the story will (hopefully) reunite Day and June, and it'll be good to get to know Eden better. My library will definitely be purchasing this title.
I can’t wait to purchase the physical copy of this book! It brought back many good memories I had when I was reading the Legend trilogy years ago.
It's hard to tell with a sampler, but I felt like the first few chapters were bogged down with details that would make some readers put the book down. Don't! Keep reading! I am not sure how the story itself is going to turn out, but Marie Lu has so much trust built up with her readers that I'm willing to follow her and see where it goes.
Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors. Really enjoyed reading the original series. Can't wait to read this new book!!
