Nancy Naigle writes the best holiday stories! Christmas Angels is no exception. Liz Westmoreland, the main character of this sweet Christmas story, has found professional success, but personal success has alluded her.
At the last moment, Liz finds the inn her grandparent's owned decades before up for auction. Cashing in her chips, she bids on it. What she finds makes her question her confidence.
Luckily, she finds an ally in Matt Hardy, a local architect who seems to be just about perfect in every way. Matt, along with the small town of Antler Creek throw their support behind Liz as she begins to make her dream a reality. But like anything worth having, restoring her beloved inn isn't always easy.
I highly recommend Christmas Angles for getting into the holiday spirit!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Beautiful Christmas story that restores ones faith in humanity. A lifelong dream comes true for the main character and the people in this small town take her in with open arms. Well written, easy to follow storyline.
This small town, feel good contemporary romance is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
When Liz buys her grandparents’ form inn at auction, sight unseen, she doesn’t realize she’s taken on more than she bargained for. At least not at first. It’s painfully obvious the first time she visits Angel’s Rest in person. Matt also bid on the inn with a much better understanding of the work required to bring the place back to its former glory.
With major renovations, townspeople who support and encourage their own, and a little holiday magic, Liz finds the home she’s missed in the city and relives the happy memories she has of her grandparents.
Christmas Angels has Hallmark movie written all over it. If you spend your November and December counting down to Christmas, this one’s for you.

I love Christmas books and I love Nancy Naigle and this one is extra special! It has everything you could want. A big goofy dog, his love hurt master, a beautiful stongheaded woman and a great small town! The perfect making for the best story! You will love it, thanks Nancy!
Christmas Angels is a delightful read for the holiday season. It is very much like a hallmark movie, and I enjoyed it overall. The characters are likeable, relatable and entertaining as they return to their roots. The idea of renovating an important part of childhood is appealing and sweet. The romance is a slow burn and not really the center of the story, and I'm glad for that. This story has all the feels!
I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed. All opinions expressed are my own.
Christmas Angels is a sweet, charming, feel good, hallmark-ish Christmas story. And of course, Elvis the dog. What's not to love. The descriptions of the small mountain town and the inn pull you into this magical tale. The dynamics between Liz and Matt made for complex and interesting tension. A heartwarming and well-written story.
Yes…I am one of those people. One of those people that love Hallmark Christmas movies. And Christmas books. And just everything Christmas. I could watch the movies and read the books year-round and be perfectly happy. And one of my favorite Christmas book authors is Nancy Naigle. Her characters are usually not so full of themselves that they can’t grow and change. The small towns and the books’ worlds are described in enough detail that I can literally see it in my mind. And the stories are always heart-warming. Christmas Angels was definitely no exception!
Matt is just one of those all-around great guys. Always willing to help a friend in need without complaint. And while Liz might be a city girl by this town’s standards, she’s also a part of its history and part of a beloved family to the townspeople. The fact that she’s back to restore the town’s beloved inn/B&B makes her even more accepted and loved in Antler Creek.
NICUnurse’s Rating: I’m just corny enough that I could see each scene play out in my head, complete with Hallmark Christmas worthy music in the background. It’s a heartwarming story of finally following your dream and finding the man of your dreams in the process. If you don’t love Hallmark Christmas movies, this book might not be your cup of tea, but if you are like me and DO like them, this will be a book you do not want to miss, especially during the holiday season!
I give Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle 4.5 stars!
Liz Westmoreland is an outstanding project manager for a large firm as she oversees and launches store openings for well-known chains. Having just completed a large opening, her boss encourages her to take some time off.
As a child, Liz spent a lot of time with her grandparents who owned Angels Rest Inn in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her grandparents have both passed away and the inn has been sold. When she sees that it has come up for auction, she is determined to bid on it. She has worked hard and saved for years and is delighted when she wins the auction. It’s a few days before Thanksgiving and she asks her boss for extended time off to go and investigate how the inn looks now. Her dream has always been to own and operate her own bed and breakfast.
When she arrives, she is saddened to see that the inside of the inn has been gutted to accommodate what was previously an art gallery. She meets Matt Hardy who is an architect and owns a place in Antler Creek. Liz asks for his help in determining what needs to be done to make the structure livable. He is happy to help. He helps lots of people in town and the townspeople are happy that Liz is there to fix up the inn because her grandparents and the inn were very popular.
Work begins and lots of people pitch in to get it done. Everyone is happy to help and pretty soon, work inside the inn is being completed, and the biggest part is the displays, Christmas lights, and music her grandfather used to have every year has been resurrected. Liz and Matt love being together and his kindness toward her is growing into something more. Could Liz have found a new home and a life mate?
A sweet novel about friends and neighbors helping each other and their shared joy of the Christmas season.

If you love Hallmark Christmas movies, you are going to absolutely, positively LOVE Nancy Naigle's newest Christmas book Christmas Angels. Not only is Nancy the author behind a few of my personal Hallmark favorites like Christmas in Evergreen, Christmas Joy and Hope at Christmas, this book likewise has all the making of a fantastic Hallmark movie too! Not to mention the several references to Hallmark throughout that made this Christmas movie loving fan super happy! Hallmark love aside, let's get onto the story, shall we?
In this book, we meet Liz as she dreams of owning an inn, just like her grandparents had when she was a girl. And in true holiday magic, not only does she find AN inn, but she finds THE inn... the very same that her grandparents had sold! The story takes us to the perfect little Christmas town Antler Creek, where she takes on the project of turning the inn around, and in the process finds herself connected to Matt.
The chemistry between Liz and Matt was absolutely fantastic. I could not get enough. Matt truly was the perfect romance novel hero with his incredibly sweet romantic gestures and his unyielding dedication. It was really hard not to root for him to win over the girl. More than that though, I really enjoyed the nostalgia of this story. The idea of bringing back treasured holiday traditions and memories definitely gave me ALL the Christmas feels. Was it a little predictable at times? Sure. Was it perhaps even what some might consider slightly cheesy? Of course. But did I absolutely, positively love it anyway? Without a doubt! This is just the type of sweet, heartwarming romances that I cannot get enough of--- especially during the holiday season!
If you are looking for the perfect read this holiday season (or need some Christmas cheer throughout the year), I definitely suggest starting with this one!
**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.
This novel was a delightful surprise, and just the right type of book to read in order to decompress from stress. The characters are easy to relate to, and I found myself cheering for Liz, Matt, and their efforts to rebuild Angel Rest resort to its former glory.
If you are looking for a heartwarming book, then look no further.
I look forward to reading more of Nancy Naigle's works in the future.
Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle is a heartwarming Christmas story set in a small town in North Carolina that opens its heart to a newcomer or maybe to a returning member. Liz Westmoreland spent summers and holidays in Antlers Creek with her grandparents.
Liz had always dreamed of returning to Antlers Creek to take over and run Angels Rest because of all the wonderful memories of the times spent with her grandparents. When her grandparents sold the lodge, Liz began a search for another place to create a lodge just like her grandparent's. Imagine her surprise when she finds that the Antlers Creek lodge is up for auction and she wins the bid. Liz returns to Antlers Creek to run Angels Rest. When she arrives and sees the property she is shocked. The interior does not look the same but she is determined to restore it so that she can fulfill her dream.
Will Liz be able to restore Angels Rest to its glory? Are memories of a young girl enough to help the adult Liz see her dream come true?
And what of the townspeople, will they be happy about her wanting to restore Angels Rest? In a small town where everyone knows everyone, will they accept her or will they see her as an outsider?
It is the interaction with the town that makes this a heartwarming story of neighbors helping neighbors. After finishing the book, I found myself wanting to try small town living.
I highly recommend this book. It is a story of dreams coming true, of friendship and of love. It is a story of being open to life and to change. The story is well written with wonderful characters. The story made me smile.

Linda's Book Obsession Reviews "Christmas Angels" by Nancy Naigle, St. Martin's Press, Oct. 2019
Nancy Naigle, author of "Christmas Angels" has written a delightful, memorable, entertaining and delightful novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Women's Fiction, and Romance. I love the way the author vividly describes the location of the mountains and the small town of Angels Creek. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her cast of characters as friendly, kind, helpful and caring. Of course, I love Elvis, a puppy that just keeps growing, steals your attention and has a special personality.
Liz Westmoreland is a successful businesswoman who has been able to save her money for a special dream. Liz has always wanted a marriage like those of her deceased grandparents. She would also like to have an inn similar to the one her grandparents had owned in Angels Creek, where she has the fondest memories of fishing and spending time with her grandparents. When she notices that the inn is listed for auction, Liz enters and wins the auction.
Liz is in for a rude awakening when she views what was her grandparent's Inn years ago. It needs a tremendous amount of TLC and money spent to repair it. Liz meets Matt Hardy, who had an interest in the property as well. He remembers Liz when she was visiting her grandparents.
After a terrible accident, Liz starts doubting whether it will be possible to restore the inn. Liz does find several angels that make her question her decisions. I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, friends, neighbors, kindness, love, and hope. I would recommend this heartwarming novel.
I loved every minute of this delightful read with characters so beautifully written they jump right off the page and into your heart with a wonderful story set in a friendly Appalachian town you wish you could be a part of. I loved the dynamic and sweet friendship and romance between Liz Westmoreland who moves to Antler Creek when she wins the auction of her Grandparent's former picturesque inn Angels Rest and Matt Hardy who contracts to help her restore the inn to its former glory. Nancy Naigle put a smile on my face, warmth in my heart and now I'm definitely in the holiday mood and look forward to reading more from this gifted author. "Christmas Angels" would be a perfect as a Hallmark movie. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.
This is such a wonderful Christmas story that is so touching. Liz is a great project manager that gets paid well and is loved by her company. Liz’s love is her grandparents lodge in the North Carolina mountains that was sold years ago. Ms. Naigle’s writing brings all the scenery to life. I want to be there too! I like to think that Liz saw an opportunity to do something about her grandparents place because an Angel was looking over her. It is so sweet that Matt, who now has a house near her grandparents olde lodge, had a crush on Liz when he was younger. I loved that they have a chance to get to know each other. Matt’s puppy Elvis is a real sweetheart and steals a lot of the scenes! I would love to live in a town like Ms. Naigle describes. The people are so ready to help anyone when needed. This book really made me think about how I should do all I can to help others no matter where I live. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved our heroine, Liz Westmoreland, and enjoyed being along with her on her journey, sometimes an adventure, in going back to where she was happiest, Angels Rest. The locals in Antler Creek definitely made this story come to life and I liked how they were all there and came together to help Liz, especially with Matt Hardy leading the charge. Nancy Naigle’s books always make me feel like I’m right in the middle of everything going on and I definitely felt this way while reading this book. I liked that Matt was helping Liz make her dream come true but when she ran into trouble, he was right there taking care of her, with some help from his sister, as well as pulling off the surprise of a lifetime to show her that she had made the right decision with Angels Rest. The connection between Liz and Matt was also a perfect part of this story as was Liz finding the angels in various locations and realizing how they had gotten to where they ‘landed’. I have to admit, I really didn’t care for Dan but glad he came around in the end. This is definitely a perfect holiday story and it had me crying happy tears more than once. My favorite quote from this book was, “And you’ll always be safe to spread your wings and fly under the mistletoe with me.” Great story by Nancy Naigle.
I have yet to read a Nancy Naigle book that I didn’t love. I think this is my favorite so far. The story line is wonderful and it was so much fun joining in the adventures of these lovely folks in Antler Creek. What an awesome and loving group of people. I want to live there. How wonderful to be able to own something your grandparents owned and that you loved so much. I so enjoyed Liz and Matt and I can’t forget Elvis. I truly love Christmas stories and this one did not disappoint. I hope you check it out and love it as much as I did. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.
This is a perfect heart-warming Christmas romance! I loved every about Christmas Angels. Hallmark needs to jump on this book ASAP!
Nancy Naigle did a beautiful job with her descriptions and character development. I felt like I was right there in Antler Creek.

Liz have a very successful career and a home that she loves. However, her dream for the future is to own a small B&B or something similar. While browsing the internet she finds that the lodge her grandparents owned in the past is up for auction. She has many fond memories of spending time in Antler Falls. Throwing caution to the wind, she bids on the lodge and finally is the high bidder. When she goes to the lodge, she is heartbroken to find that the previous owners used it for an art gallery and the entire lodge is in truly bad shape. Fortunately, the townspeople are very friendly and helpful. After bumping into Matt several times, he is recommended to her to do an inspection on the property. Unbeknownst to her, everything is already done as Matt had also bid on the property. This is a lovely story without being sappy as some Christmas stories are. The characters ae well developed and hold your interest. I highly recommend this book!

Even if you don't understand, support other people's dreams
Liz Westmoreland is a well-to-do Project Manager in charge of new store launchings. She lives the big city life in Charlotte, North Carolina but her dream is to own and run a lodge or a B&B like her grandparents did when she was growing up. Staying with them are some of the happiest memories she has.
So she doesn't believe it's coincidence that she spots an auction notice of her grandparent's old lodge in rural North Carolina. She's been saving her money so bids on it - and wins, sight unseen.
This has become one of my favorite Christmas stories. Nostalgia for the past, small town life and wonderful neighbors, and a slow growing romance all combine to make it a winner on my list.
I highly recommend this story to lovers of Christmas stories and romance.
I received this book from St. Martin's Press through Net Galley and Edelweiss in the hopes that I would read it and leave an unbiased review.
wow not sure what I expected but this was a great read and so easy to relate too! Having her grandparents raise her to expect the best and to work towards that goal is something that isn't seen very often nowadays! Thoroughly enjoyed this read!
