Liz is taking a leap of faith. She finds her grandparents old bed and breakfast up for on-line auction. She buys it…sight unseen. When she asks Matt Hardy to help her renovate and turn it back into its original glory, SPARKS FLY!

Oh…I fell for Matt, hook, line and sinker. He is the sweetest character ever! And he fell for Liz a long time ago. These two are the classic romance characters everyone should experience. Their attraction and the lovely small town of Antler Creek is an absolute joy to read about.

This is your typical, sweet, heartwarming Christmas love story. The small town setting with the small town characters (which I can totally relate to!) really create wonderful Christmas atmosphere.

For the last three years, I’ve enjoyed reading a Christmas novel by Nancy Naigle. All three have been set in various small towns in North Carolina. While I am not from that area, my mother grew up in the mountains outside of Asheville during the latter years of the Great Depression. It’s always a treat to get a peak at that area of the country.

In this story, Liz Westmoreland is a successful project manager. She has always dreamed of owning an Inn or Bed and Breakfast like the one that her grandparents ran for many years. Truth be told, Liz wanted their old inn, Angels Rest but it was sold years before.

When the opportunity arises to buy the old inn, sight unseen, she grabs it. Reality hits her square in the face too late when she finds it in total disrepair.

Luckily for her, a hometown man is also adept at working on fixing up houses and is more than happy to help her based on remembering her from her visits, many years ago, when she spent time with her grandparents.

The whole town gets behind her and she takes the project on. When something totally unexpected happens, she loses hope. Her new friends rally behind her and try to change her mind.

This book has a heart-warming story and, while not a Christian book, it has many Christian values, prayers and more. The relationship between Liz and her “handyman” moves at a slower pace than most novels but more in line with reality. There isn’t anything sexual about the book, which is refreshing.

I look forward to reading more books by Nancy Naigle in the future.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

The next heartwarming and inspirational Christmas story by USA Today Bestselling author, Nancy Naigle.

Growing up, Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn located in the small mountain town of Angels Creek only for it to be sold before she ever got the chance. While browsing the internet, she stumbles upon a listing for what looks to be the picturesque inn and it’s set to go to auction. Liz places a bid, and by a miracle, wins the auction. But when she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair.

When Matt Hardy narrowly lost the inn and property that butted his land, he just hoped it wasn't another city slicker coming to make matters worse after the previous owners gutted the place for an art gallery. But the minute he recognized the sweet, freckle-faced girl from his childhood and heard her plans to reopen the inn, he jumps at the chance to help his childhood crush restore a place where he made so many fond memories.

While working on repairs, Liz and Matt discover her grandmother’s collection of angels in one of the cabins. When the angels start mysteriously showing up all over the inn, she begins to look at them as reassurance—that restoring the inn is what she's meant to do. But when an accident leaves Liz feeling like she made a mistake, will Matt—and the residents of Angels Creek—be able to show Liz that she's found a home? And possibly true love as well?

Loved Matt and Liz's story. I love a good Christmas story with all the feels and this book had it in spades. I loved the residents of Angels Creek, small town with great people. Highly recommend.

Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparent's inn when she grew up, but it was sold before she ever got a chance to make that dream a reality. Year later she comes across the very same inn up for auction and buys it on the spot. Not realizing exactly how much it has been neglected over the years or how much work will need to be put into it in order for her dreams to come true. Matt Hardy tried to purchase the land and inn that was next to his own property but lost the auction to a higher bid. But when he recognizes just who bought the inn, he decides to help her restore it to what it was before and hopefully get to spend time with the woman he had a crush on so many years before.

This was definitely a sweet Christmas type read. Liz and Matt are beyond sweet with each other and willing to help when it's needed. The side characters are also sweet and go above and beyond. It just felt like it was specifically written in order to be seen as a Hallmark movie. And while a lot of people will love that and love those types of movies-unfortunately I am not one of them. It was too slow for me and I felt like they dwelt in the past way too much. It was written ok, but it's not definitely not my cup of tea.

Liz Westmoreland grew up spending the summers and holidays at her grandparents inn, Angel Rest, in Antler Creek and always had dreams of running it herself. When her grandparents retire and sell the inn before Liz is able to buy it, her dreams are crushed until one day she sees an auction on-line for the very inn she grew up loving. Liz ends up winning the auction without even seeing the property. Excited to see the inn, Liz drives to see the property but ends up shocked by the state of the house. Still determined, Liz has a plan to bring Angel Rest back to its former glory.

Matt Hardy, who lives on the property adjacent to Angel Rest, also tried to win the auction and he is pleasantly surprised to see who actually won the bid......the cute granddaughter of the original owners. Growing up Matt had the hugest crush on Liz. Determined to see if there is any spark between him and Liz, Matt offers to help Liz.

While Matt and Liz are spending a lot of time together, Liz starts to develop feelings for Matt, but she explains that she doesn't date people she works with. That's okay with Matt, he will just bide his time until things are perfect. While fixing the inn up, some of Liz's grandmother's angels keep popping up in the strangest places. Liz takes this as a sign that she is doing the right thing. As things are going along wonderfully, an accident causes Liz to rethink if she is doing the right thing. It will take a huge leap of faith in herself to realize that Antler Creek is the place where she belongs and where she will find her happy ending.

I just loved Matt! He is the perfect type of gentleman that you always hope for. He's sweet, thoughtful and just a good person. I enjoyed Liz too. She is a take charge type of person and likes to get things done. Together they make a great couple! I really enjoyed this fun story.

I am a sucker for the holiday reads so when I saw this one and read the blurb, it sounded like it would be a good one. And I am happy to say it turned out to be just as good as it sounded too.

Liz Westmoreland has always loved her time with her grandparents, and since their passing it feels like she was missing something. When the Inn in Angel Creek came up for auction she follows her heart she buys the Inn. And it was just what she needed too. The problem is, she bought it pretty much sight unseen. There is so much repair work that needs to be done before she can reopen before the holiday season. This is where the handsome handyman Matt comes into the picture and helps her out.

I liked Liz from the start. She had a good career and a good head on her shoulders but like I said before, she as missing something. And she did have some self doubt when she realized just how much was going to go into the repairs of the Inn. And I could certainly understand that but her heart was in the right place and I adored her for it and wanted to root for her to succeed. Matt, our handsome handy man, seemed like a good guy and the town loved him. And he too loved the Inn and had some great memories there growing up and had originally put in an offer on the Inn too, but lost to Liz. That doesn’t stop him from helping her though which just proved to me that he was genuinely a good guy. There are some other characters that I enjoyed and I wish I could tell you about all of them but I an afraid that would just give to much away, so I will just say they were such a great addition to the story.

Liz and Matt knew each other growing and have some history but Liz is so wrapped up in the making the Inn what it used to be that hasn’t let herself see Matt in any other way than just the friends brother. I mean the whole town sees it! But what fun would that be if it was just that simple and they fell in love at the beginning and I really liked their time together and watching them grow along the way.

This one those types of stories that just touches your heart. A young woman wanting to keep the memories that she held so dear growing up alive by sharing that same joy with others. Even if it was more than she bargained for at first. A small town who does what they can for those who need it. And a slow burn romance between Liz and Matt, that had a couple bumps along the way but was sweet and so worth the wait. What more could I ask for?

Christmas Angels is a wonderful story of strength, family, traditions and love and such a heartwarming read and perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

This is the first book I read after the passing of my husband and it was a conscious decision to pick this one. I needed a light romance without angst and this one had all the feels and was so much like a Christmas Hallmark movie I settled in and cried my way through it and felt relieved. Liz has wanted her grandparents Inn for years and she finally comes across a listing for an auction for what looks to be it and enters a bid. Wonder of wonders she actually wins but when she shows up she finds the property in such devastation she is heartbroken. Matt Hardy narrowly missed out on getting the property next to his but he is so pleased when he finds out Liz is the new owner. Working with her, they put the Inn back together all while sparks ignite between them. Yea, all the feels in this one! Grab the hot chocolate and a bowl of popcorn and settle in for a great read! I definitely recommend this one!

Nancy Naigle has written another heartwarming small town Christmas story. The wonderful, giving people who live Antler Creek made me long for the simpler pleasures of life in a small town. The book is rich with Christmas traditions. It definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

Liz Westmoreland has dreams of reopening Angels Rest, a quaint country inn that her grandparents built and owned until her grandfather’s health started to fail. Liz has many wonderful memories of time spent with her grandparents at Angels Rest. When the inn is being sold at auction, she bids on the inn sight unseen...and wins. She is excited to reopen the inn. When she sees the condition of Angels Rest, her hopes start to crumble.

Matt Hardy is a building contractor who also bid on the inn. When he finds out that the person who bought the inn is a girl he has had a crush on since he was thirteen, he answers Liz’s ad requesting proposals to rebuild the inn.

Christmas Angels can be read at any time of the year, but I recommend reading it during the Christmas holidays. I definitely captures the magic of Christmas. I was captivated by this book from beginning to end.

I received a copy of Christmas Angels from the publisher and the author through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts expressed are my own.

I was completely captivated by this inspirational Christmas story, a sweet romance and the story of one woman’s determination to recapture the best memories of her childhood. A perfect snowy small town setting sets the stage for this wonderful book, with charming and generous characters. I’d love to spend Christmas at Angels Rest, enjoying the hospitality and the perfect holiday ambiance. Liz and Matt are an adorable couple, with their warm hearts and giving, caring natures. I hope author Nancy Naigle will follow up this novel with a sequel, featuring Krissy and the handsome sheriff!

Really enjoyable sweet Christmas romance. This is a very nice feel good story, with many different emotions running through it. The characters are all so much fun & happy that you really know that the project is going to be awesome. I enjoyed Matt & Liz & the chemistry between them, I also enjoyed Elvis that loveable dog & the reason that the angels kept appearing in all the rooms around the cabin & big house. Very sweet courting on Matt’s part, even if Liz didn’t know it was happening. Definitely recommend.

What a sweet story! He's had a crush on her since they were little, she doesn't remember him but all she wants is to bring back the happy memories from her childhood. I'd love for this to be a series, I want to find out more about the people in Angels Creek!

A romance fit for the Hallmark Channel, Christmas Angels was full of love, laughter, and childhood memories to warm your heart. Definitely have a cup of hot cocoa on hand to get you in the mood for this read, because that's exactly what I wanted as I read through the story. Set in a small town with more than its share of kind people, it makes you wish a place like Antler Creek existed, just so you could go there to escape from the reality of human nature. There was a total of one character who had a flaw, but everyone else was basically the epitome of what you wish humanity was actually like.

It has always been Liz Westmoreland's dream to run her grandparents' inn, Angels Rest, but they sold the inn and Liz's dream was left in the dust. Now a successful project manager, she should be content with where she is in life, but that dream comes to life again when she sees that Angels Rest is up for auction. Sight unseen, she buys it, and upon arriving at the inn, realizes that she may have made a huge mistake. Matt Hardy is shocked when he realizes that the person who outbid him for the inn is none other than his childhood crush, Liz. She doesn't remember him, but he certainly remembers her and eagerly jumps in to help her rebuild Angels Rest. Soon the entire town is in on the project, and Liz is faced with the choice of staying there or returning to the big city.

Like I mentioned above, this book felt like an audition for the Hallmark Channel, and if it actually were, it would win a spot in the Christmas lineup easily! The relationship between Liz and Matt was really cute, especially as they didn't realize they knew each other in their initial meeting. Matt had a lovely personality, eager to help out and show Liz what it would mean to stay in Antler Creek permanently. Liz was so eager to make it work, and she was very strong in standing up for herself and what she wanted. She didn't allow others to sway her decision, which said a lot about her character. I have to admit, there were a few parts of the story that felt a bit corny to me, but only because everyone was so gosh darn nice. Every time a new chapter began, someone was jumping in to help Liz, and it was one generous, good deed after another. It did make it hard to feel this story was very realistic. However, this is a Christmas book, and personally, I don't really need realistic. I want warm-hearted humor and love to last a lifetime, and that's what this book gave me.

One small note to mention, this book seemed to have quite a bit of religious content in it, where it could border on being an Inspirational romance. I personally love Inspirational romance, and the religious pieces aren't overdone or out of place in the story. But for those of you who like knowing, this note is for you.

Yet another lovely romance by Nancy Naigle! Nancy, I hope Hallmark contacts you soon, so I can see this story on my television.

Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle was a very sweet Christmas read. The story centers around Liz who purchases her grandparent's inn in Angel's Creek, in a fluke last-minute decision, in an auction and sight unseen. She finds the abandoned and empty inn a shell of what it formally was years ago when her grandparents owned it and she is determined to restore it in all its glory.
Upon starting her renovations she enlists the help of Matt, a head contractor in town who quickly falls for Liz all over again as he remembers her from his childhood- though she does not recall him at all. When Liz is injured the fate on the future of the inn is left up to Matt and the townspeople.
Very sweet story and perfect to curl up with on rainy (or snowy!) day. The relationship between Liz and Matt grew organically and the mention of prayers and angels are sprinkled throughout the book but not too heavy that it would turn off a non-religious reader. This story would make for a great Hallmark or Lifetime Christmas movie! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked Matt, Liz and all the characters. Makes me want to live in a small town. Liz has had a dream of running an inn like her grandparents. She has been keeping an eye on inns for sale for a long time. When she finds her grandparent's old inn up for auction, she knows she has to get it. When she wins the bid, she immediately goes to the town. She is welcomed by everyone, especially Matt. He remembers her from when they were kids. He was in love with her then and he is sure that he is still in love with her now. He just has to convince her that the inn will succeed and the town needs her. So does Matt. Will she stay?

Do you believe in Angels? Liz has always dreamed of going back to Angels Rest it holds so many special memories for her. So when she sees it going on auction she buys it unseen and she hopes that it is still like it was when her grandparents left it all those years ago. But she is in for a huge shock and she starts doubting her impulse but she knows that this is where she is meant to be and with her new friend Matt in charge of the renovations she hopes that it all works out. Matt knows that Liz is the woman that he is going to marry as he remembered her from his childhood memories he just needs to get her to see that this is her forever home. Liz is starting to really doubt that the house will ever be what she wants she knows that the town is happy that she is repairing Angels Rest but can she find the strength to continue on the journey especially now that she has hurt herself and she has to rely on others to help? Will Matt be able to show her that this is where she needs to be?

Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle

Contemporary romance. Perfect for a Hallmark holiday movie.

Liz has always dreamed of someday owning a country inn similar to what her grandparents previously owned. When she finds the exact inn on the auction block she dives in and is the successful winning bid. Sight unseen, Liz heads up to Angels Creek to find her new life dream was abandoned and in need of complete renovation. The small town rallies and with Matt as head contractor, the inn is rebuilt and holiday memories return for everyone. Matt has his own designs on Liz and declares to the local priest that Liz is the woman he’s going to marry. Now Matt has to convince Liz to forget the city and become a permanent resident of Angels Creek.

A heartwarming and sweet romance with hints at the end of who might be the next couple to be matched up.
Loved the human bowling. So much fun but I’m thinking I’d be exhausted half way through!
Could have done without the praying for answers but it wasn’t extensive beyond a few mentions of faith.

Totally reminded me of the sentimental and joyous Hallmark holiday movies.

I received a copy of the book from NetGalley. I’ve purchased a copy to share.

A lovely, sweet Christmassy story with small town folk, neighbourliness and angels.
Liz was devastated when her grandparents sold their mountain lodge and over the years it became her dream to one day have a similar lodge and give up the rat race for a slower pace of life. Then one evening as she was trawling through an auction site she comes across a picture and low and behold, it is her grandparents old place and the auction is the very next day. With no time to do an inspection, she buys the place sight unseen. When she gets into the place she is horrified that the interiors have been ripped out and there is a lot more worked than she had planned for. However the town and Matt Hardy in particular, make her feel welcome and bolster her belief in a restored Angels Rest.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Christmas Angels is a small-town Christmas romance that is hopeful and endearing. Nancy Naigle's book read like a Hallmark Christmas movie. Liz and Matt were brought together to fix up her grandparent's old inn. Owning it was always her dream. So, when it is listed up for auction she jumps at the offer. A sweet friendship starts to blossom into something more.

I loved these characters so much. Liz was a successful project manager who could fix the unfixable. She has dreamed of going back to Angel's Creek to fix her grandparent's inn and when it is finally happening she is the happiest she has ever been. She meets Matt who is the 'town handyman'. He is an architect so when it comes to fixing up the inn he is the perfect match.

They are so great together because they love the town so much. It was beautiful to experience the town of Angel's Creek through their eyes.

The slow build-up added anticipation that I enjoy in a romance. It wasn't rushed or forced, love just happened the way it was supposed to.

I give Christmas Angels 4 stars. Nancy Naigle wrote a friendly and inviting story about two people who find their happiness in a small town. It is heartfelt and beautiful and an absolute joy to read.
