Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book!

Eh. This was ok. It held my interest enough for me to keep reading it but I was not at all surprised by the ending and I had kind of predicted it to myself halfway through. Still, a decent enough read.

Sadie and Will move to a remote island in Maine to look after Will’s 16 year old niece whose mother just died. Sadie is uncomfortable living in such a small community where everyone knows your business and outsiders aren’t trusted. One of the neighbors is found murdered, and Sadie becomes very interested in what happened to her.

Wow, The Other Mrs did not disappoint! My first thought was what a mind blowing novel, a definite 5 star.
If you are looking for a fast-paced psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then this is it!

Creepy, psycho-thriller. I love her books. This story and the characters were amazing. The storyline and the twists kept me guessing until the very end. You won’t be able to put this one down.

I found this really predictable. The clues for the 'twist' were very obvious throughout, and therefore there wasn't much mystery to it. I feel like this trope is kind of overdone as a plot twist, as the odds of no one every noticing besides her husband are very unlikely.

I love a good Mary Kubica book! This was a twisty, fast read! Told from three different perspectives but it was so much fun to put all of the pieces together.

Okay, I have to keep this short because I didn't enjoy this book. The premise seemed interesting but then things just weren't adding up. For example, the main character and her family move to a small island in Maine to take over her husband's late sister's house (complete with incredibly angsty and goth teenager they must now care for); but there's mention of the island being a mile by a mile and a half -- so how do they have an elementary school (albeit a very small one), a police station, enough homes to actually need an elementary school, etc.? It didn't make sense to me. Then there's the fact that the bulk of the story is told from the MC POV but there are random intermitten chapters from other characters. It makes the story disjointed and I almost forgot who they were because they faded into the background after their chapter was over. There's also so much hinting at prior events from the MC's life in Chicago that I couldn't tell if it was actually relevant to the story or just a red herring, which honestly got a bit annoying. Not to mention, yet another unreliable narrator who sporadically blacks out while still awake and functioning, not remembering what she was doing, how she got here, etc. Overall, it just did not make for an enjoyable read. I will say that the beginning of the book started off strong and there was just enough hinting and conflict to catch my interest, but then it veered off. I'm sorry, but this one just wasn't for me.

**Thank you, NetGalley and publishers, for a DRC in exchange for an honest review.**

I loved this book! Thank you for the ARC. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that I wasn’t leaving reviews on netgalley and was solely sharing on Instagram. My apologies. Huge fan of this author! I actually received the tangible copy. Trying to clean up my netgally account

"The Other Mrs." by Mary Kubica is a psychological thriller that follows the story of a woman named Sadie who moves to a small island community with her husband after a tragedy. The book is well-written and has a fast-paced plot that keeps the reader engaged. The characters are well-developed and the twist at the end is unexpected and satisfying.

The book explores themes of identity, deceit, and the consequences of secrets. Kubica does a great job of building tension and keeping the reader on edge, and the climax is both intense and satisfying.

Overall, "The Other Mrs." is a well-crafted thriller that will keep readers guessing until the very end. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with twisty plots and complex characters, this book is definitely worth a read.

Sadie and Will have moved into Will’s late sister’s house to take care of their niece. They’re in a new place to facilitate a fresh start: they’re now the guardians of their niece, they’re recovering from Will’s infidelity, and they’re trying to move on from their son getting in trouble at school. Everything seems fine until a young neighbor woman is murdered. Told from multiple perspectives, Sadie’s, Camille’s, Mouse’s, and eventually Will’s, the story unfolds in pieces for the reader. The build up is extremely slow and extremely predictable, but there was one surprising twist. It didn’t save the story, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Ultimately, this is yet another story that uses mental illness as a trope, and readers would be better off reading a different thriller than this one.

Sadie and Will move their family from Chicago to an isolated island in Maine. They have secrets they bring with them.
This was a creepy page turner and I think readers of Liane Moriarty and Clare Mackintosh will enjoy this.

I love Mary Kubica and this book was quite the thriller! It was suspenseful and full of twists! I found myself on the edge of my seat, anxious to find out what happened next. I especially liked the alternating perspectives.

I've discovered that I don't seem to get along with Mary Kubica's writing. I can't put my finger on why, but her plots don't seem to draw me in and something about the writing style just don't quite work for me. I was not able to finish reading this book.

I like the idea of an island setting and a closed environment where the fox is in the hen house. But this was a really slow build and I found myself getting really impatient with main character Sadie. She kept jumping to conclusions that felt irrational to me, and ignoring simpler explanations. And she'd state the obvious too often. I skipped some of the Mouse chapters because they were annoying. Some interesting twists at the end but I saw them coming.

I’m so freaking dizzy after so many twists, I felt like the earth moved under me and the rug pulled out from my feet over and over again, get your tickets for crazy train ride, because Mary Kubica wrote another surprising, fast pacing, heart throbbing thriller stars. I can't wait to see what other books Kubica writes.

Mary Kubica is another Queen of Thrillers for me! My last in-person book talk was to see her at Parnasnus Books in Nashville during her book tour for THE OTHER MRS.

Many thanks to @parkrowbooks for the eBook via @Netgalley.

After the death of Will’s sister, Sadie and Will move from Chicago to a small town in Maine to move into his sister’s house and take custody of his niece. Soon after moving in, their neighbor is found dead in her home, rocking the small coastal island. Who is responsible? Are the new neighbors somehow connected?

I had a harder time with this one. It was very slow for me and I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters. I did love the setting SO MUCH that I want to move to a town just like it. The big twist about Sadie wasn’t a surprise for me and brings up a lot of feelings in regards to using mental illness as a plot device. Some of the reveals were good but this book lacked for me in many ways.

Unfortunately, this book was ultimately not for me. By that I mean, I am definitely not the target audience. Did not finish.

I thought this started off really slow but picked up quickly. Good book - kept my attention after the beginning.

4 Stars! Honestly, I felt this one started slowly at first, but picked up mid-way through. Stick it out! The twists and turns are quite a ride!

Sadie has recently moved with her family to a house that they’ve inherited after her sister-in-law’s suicide. It’s a new start for their family, but this new home comes with a problem- the guardianship of their orphaned niece. When a murder happens on their street, Sadie can’t help but question the seemingly violent new member of their family. The more questions Sadie asks herself, the more disturbing answers she finds!

I thought I had the book pegged within the first quarter of the way through! The shocks at the end did not disappoint!
