Not my favourite Monica Murphy book ever but still enjoyable. I loved reading about these characters again

Pretty great for 140 page prequel! This follows six friends point of views at a house party kicking off the start of summer. All the characters have such individual personalities it was easy to get into and want to read more right away. Looking forward to reading Just Friends!

I enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick intro to the characters for Just Friends. I will probably read it just to see what happens between the beginning of summer and the end. There were a couple characters that I didn't really get a chance to connect with, but I realize there was a limited amount of words to be dedicated to them, so I am looking forward to seeing what the next book has in store. Definitely did its job to draw me in.

So this was enjoyable. I liked the angst and frienship ups and downs. I'd really like to continue with this group and find out more about the personalities and friendships...I would recommend to an older ya group as there is sexual, drinking and drug content.

This is a really good prequel to Just Friends, which I have yet too read. It definitely gets you hooked into wanting to read the book and I can't wait.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a nice, short prequel that gives you a little insight before reading “Just Friends” . I have not yet read the next book but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

“One Night” by Monica Murphy is a FREE prequel to the YA novel, “Just Friends”, by Monica Murphy. I have not read “Just Friends” yet, but WOW, was “One Night” good! It was a very interesting look into the lives of this group of teens! I love how the Author has given a quick overview of each person in the book at the beginning. Highly recommended! It grabbed my attention immediately. I read it in just a few hours. 5 stars! And, I’m hoping to read and review “Just Friends” soon. (At the end of “One Night”, you get to read a few chapters of “Just Friends!”) A great book-Enjoy!-Janell at Green Gables Book Reviews. (*This book does contain mature content*).
There’s a party at the Tuttle’s house tonight and everyone will be there. Olivia is leaving tomorrow for 6 weeks at her Dad’s and she’s excited to spend the evening with Dustin and Emily. Dustin and she have messed around little bit and he wants more, but she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. Emily should be in the car. Where is she? Olivia really wants time with her tonight.
Emily has her own ideas, and they all involve alcohol and boys. One of those boys should be considered off limits, but Emily isn’t really thinking about boundaries of any kind. She’s kind of getting a reputation, but right now? She doesn’t care! Cannon is looking kind of cute…
Amanda is looking everywhere for her boyfriend. Tonight might be their special night! When she finds him, she can’t believe what happens!
Tuttle has been waiting for Amanda to notice him in that way for a long time. Maybe she’ll notice him now?
Olivia’s ready to head home and on the drive with Dustin things seem a little off…she knows he wants more, but she’s worried about ruining their friendship if they date, and she leaves tomorrow. They say an odd goodbye, but maybe it wasn’t their goodbye?
Lots of texts get Olivia through the summer and they all lead to another party. Wait,…., who is this new guy?

A beautiful coming of age story. A perfect read for young teenagers. This was truly heartfelt and beautiful. Fantastic xx

One night is a prequel about whats going on at the Jordan Tuttle's party one day before Olivia leave for Oregon. One Night features the point of view of several characters.
This was a very short prequel, but it held my attention and it was nice to get the different points of view.

This was such a cute short read, and definitely worth the background you get on the characters before you read “Just Friends” . I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens to the characters in the next couple books. I like that there are more than two main characters in this book.
