This book can be read as a stand-alone and is also the 6th in a series. I love this series and I’ve been hearing this book may be the last in the series which makes me sad because I have really enjoyed them all. A good clean Mystery with a little clean romance which is a big plus in my book. This writer does a great job with the story and descriptions of characters making you feel like you are there. Can’t wait to see what comes next if this is indeed the last in a series.

This is by far the best romantic suspense series out there! This book sees Sharp in need of help when his new lady love, reporter Olivia Cruz, disappears and is believed to have been kidnapped. Someone planted a bomb at the office and Morgan and Lance are considering postponing the wedding. Fast paced and highly intense.

Olivia’s job as a journalist was to seek the truth.The implications she has now learned about was unsettling, if she pursued, it could cost lives. A decision at forty eight, same with Lincoln,he owned a private detective agency, was their relationship exclusive. Awakening she fought the attacker, he seemed to remain calm, and then tossing her over his shoulder. She would fight, she would survive till Lincoln found her. What a rivitaing plot, and why and how this kidnapping took place, was great. Another winner for the author.

This is yet another great read by this Author ………… it manages to pull together threads left outstanding in previous books and appears to be the last in the series . I do hope that is not the case as I love the characters and am sure that they have more stories to tell .

I just love everything about this series, the characters are so well written you feel like you know them personally and yet again, the cases Morgan and lance are working are fantastic, more so in this one because this time it’s personal. Sharps girlfriend is missing and the trio pull out all the stops to find her safe.

SAVE YOUR BREATH by Melinda Leigh. Once again, Ms. Leigh grabs her readers and brings them right into the heart of the story. Olivia, who we met previously, is now dating Lincoln Sharp. She disappears and, boy, what a mystery we have on our hands. Morgan and Lance work furiously to help Sharp locate her in time. This book was a bit more personal in the sense that we know the victim (if you have read the previous works which I highly recommend). There is danger and suspense and a whodunnit throughout, keeping the reader guessing. I certainly guessed wrong, several times! I tend to be more of a romance junky, and this series does not focus on romance much- there is a bit, but not a lot. However, for me, Ms. Leigh's writing style, characters and plot lines keep me a avid fan. (received ARC from NetGalley for honest review)

Save Your Breath is the 6th book in the Morgan Dane series. This book can be read as a stand alone although the personal lives of the main characters, Morgan, Lance and Lincoln continue to evolve through each book. The romance in this romantic suspense series is subtle and more inference than description. The books concentrate more on the investigation and the people involved. Leigh's characters are likeable and real and keep the reader rooting for their success. In this instalment, Lincoln's girlfriend, Olivia, is a former investigative reporter who has signed with an agent to write a true crime book based on some of the cases she is researching. When Olivia goes missing, Lincoln, Lance and Morgan must find her before it's too late, all while Morgan and Lance are making their final wedding preparations.
These books appear to be well researched and it appears in references to laws and in the language and terms used. This author is able to keep the reader engaged right through to the exciting conclusion. A compelling read and unfortunately this seems to be the last in the series.

Save Your Breath was a fast paced page turner that kept me guessing until the end as to who had taken Olivia. I highly recommend this book for fans of Melinda Leigh and the Morgan Dane series; the book is best enjoyed as part of the series due to references to recurring characters and longstanding series plot points being referenced.

Another winner by Melinda Leigh She never fails to entertain. Journalist Olivia Cruz has been kidnapped. Nothing much was disturbed during the kidnapping, mussed bedding a broken nail and hopefully a little blood as she's carried into her garage is her only hope of leaving a clue. Her boyfriend is Lincoln Sharp owner of a private investigation firm. When Olivia fails to show up to take her mom to the doctors in the morning Lincoln knows this is not like her she is very responsible and concerned for her mother. His partners, PI Lance Kruger and defense attorney Morgan Dane who is also Lance's fiancée, quickly rush to Lincoln to help figure out where she could be. Lincoln becomes frantic as the days pass with no leads, no word, no report of an accident and no word from Olivia. The police aren't able to do much as there is no evidence of trouble or wrong doing. A broken fingernail and a few drops of blood don't mean she didn't leave on purpose. But Lincoln and Lance know something is wrong Her car may be gone but her much needed asthma medicine is still at her house. Waking up in a dark, damp room Olivia is confused and frightened. She fears for her life and just as concerning, will she be found before the dampness that triggers her asthma gets her first. Will we finally see Lance and Morgan get married or will the wedding need to be postponed again. They couldn't possibly get married with Olivia still missing. Excellent characters you can identify with, fast paced read, and enough drama and mystery to keep you reading and guessing who could have done this? Will Olivia be found in time?

This is one of my favorite series...and this one hits the main characters close to home as one of their own is in trouble and its all hands on deck.

This book was edge of your seat awesome. I love this series AND this author. And I have been trying to not read this book because I hate to say goodbye to characters that are so good. (And I am lucky enough to get an early copy for honest review)

I literally read this book in 3 hours. I was racing to find out what was going on. I love the characters, this series is about family, resilience and getting a second chance all the while solving interesting cases.

It was very cool that Sharp’s new love is the center of this book. Her disappearance is stumping them all and forcing Morgan, Lance and Sharp to race against the clock to find out where and why she’s gone. So many twists and turns all the while we await the wedding of Morgan & Lance!

Every single book in this series gets better and this one did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for this author!!!!

I am a huge fan of this series - this book did not disappoint. Sharp's journalist girl friend, Olivia, is kidnapped in the middle of the night. Together Morgan, Lance and Sharp must investigate her latest story, desperately searching for clues.

Another great book in the Morgan Dane series!!!! I've loved all 6 of them.

When Sharp's girlfriend Olivia is kidnapped, the hunt is on!!! This is a side of Sharp that up until now, we haven't witnessed. Its like being a part of a giant, wonderful, family!! All of the characters are awesome and I love how all of them an entwined.

We are taken on an edge of your seat, action packed adventure, that includes murder, attempted murder, escape, and medical issues with a few unexpected twists and turns.

I really, really hope this is not the end of the series because I need Sharp and Olivia's story - PLEASE Melinda!!!

I love this series. And I was so excited to receive an advanced reader copy from Net Galley and the publishing house. I’ve so enjoyed following Morgan and Lance’s relationship. The mystery in this one was so good! I did not figure it out until the very end! I always enjoy the other key characters in this series. I’m hoping for more books in this series! I can’t get enough of these!

I love this series as you also get an insight into Morgan's and Lance's personal life too.

I love the Morgan Dane series and the sixth book in the series is no exception! I have heard this is the last book in the series and really hope that's not true! I love Melinda Leigh's writing style - the characters are likeable and the plot captures your attention (making it hard to stop reading once you start).

I've really enjoyed watching Morgan and Lance's relationship evolve throughout the series and have enjoyed reading the reaction that Morgan's girls have had toward their new soon-to-be-stepdad. I was also delighted when Lincoln found a new love interest in Olivia. This book focuses on Olivia's kidnapping and the lengths that Morgan, Lance, and Lincoln with go to to find her.

I am in denial that this is the last story I will get in the life of Morgan Dane!! I was already mourning the loss of Mercy, so this was like a double whammy. Regardless, I enjoyed the read and thought that the mystery was suspenseful and engaging. I will miss this series and I hope the author has more great stories in the works for me!

I just love the Morgan Dane Series and this was no exception. Another well written, fast paced, edge of my seat read. This story sees Sharps girlfriend Olivia captured and taken by a mystery person. The motive however takes us through so many twists and turns, things are not always as they seem. As per this series our hero/heroines Lance and Morgan work tirelessly to solve this case and save Olivia. I adore the way this author brings us right into the Dane Family and we feel like they are our own family. The combo of exciting mystery and real life works flawlessly and humanizes the characters. I can not wait for the next Dane book! This one was a must read.
