I have read this author before and I usually care for her stories but for me, this felt slow and off. I am sure it was just me but it was difficult for me to keep up with this book to the end, so sorry.

I really enjoyed this book. This is the first Eve Gaddy book I have read and it didn’t disappoint. This was a friends to lovers which Is my favorite trope. A love story between Charlie and Turner, friends since middle school who know each other really well. Charlie is divorced and doesn't ever want to be in love again and Turner just started to realize he is interested in Charlie.
The book is well written and a fun romantic read. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet romance story.

This is the second book in a series I did not read the first book but after reading this one I will go back and do that. A friends to lovers trope yes please sign me up I loved this and the characters and the plot and all of it wrapped up in one.

Turner and Charlie have been best friends since childhood. Now Charlie is back in Last Stand divorced and wounded. Dr. Turner McBride is thrilled to have his good friend back home. After their first kiss Turner wants more. Charlie can not dispute the chemistry is there, but she doesn't want to risk their friendship. Once he realizes that he is in love with her - he has to convince Charlie to take a chance on them. This is a fun friends to lover story with a feel good ending. Great read.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in this new series by Eve Gaddy. I loved this book. Charlie has returned to her hometown after a failed romance. She has always had a special best friend relationship with Dr. Turner McBride. Turner realizes that he is interested in a relationship with Charlie, more than just friends. Charlie is afraid to ruin their very special friendship over sex. Charlie is a baker and Turner is a Neurosurgeon. We learn that Charlie had been engaged and pregnant and lost the baby and the fiancé broke it off. This, in addition to her not wanting to ruin a friendship, has made it hard for Turner to convince her to give them a try. We later learn the whole story. The book is another one set in Last Stand Texas. This, like Marietta Montana, has become a special place and fun to read about..

Turner and Charlie’s friends to lovers story in Texas on my Mind by Eve Gaddy, book two in Heart of Texas series, was a wonderful, sexy, emotional and enjoyable tale, set in the town of Last Stand, Texas. Charlie the baker and Turner the neurologist have been best friends since they were kids, at least until Turner realizes there might be something more there. Charlie is adamant that she doesn't want to risk their friendship. Charlie has a secret which because of the behavior of her former husband makes her believe that no man will ever want a serious relationship with her. It will take everything Turner has to convince Charlie that risking her heart and giving them a chance is well worth the gamble. These two are wonderful and loving people who truly deserve a happy ending.
Ms. Gaddy wrote a wonderful story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Turner and Charlie a chance for happiness, love and a future together. I highly recommend Texas on my Mind to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Friends who find love together is one of my favorite trope. What a delight Texas on My Mind by Eve Gaddy is with friends Turner and Charlie (Charlotte). Because both are now back in Last Stand, Texas their friendship is renewed. With some life behind them and even some regrets, the story had substance and packed a lot in a short novel
Well-written romance that provides another visit to my favorite fictional Texas town. I want to go there and of course try Charlie’s pies now. Clara Perkins may not have introduced these two but she is still right on the mark with her matchmaking skills.

TEXAS ON MY MIND is the second story in Eve Gaddy’s Heart of Texas series, part of the Last Stand, Texas imprint – several series centered around the same small-town. (Think Marietta, Montana moves to Last Stand, Texas. *grin*)
I easily fell in love with Charlie (Charlotte) and Turner who have been friends it seems forever. Now though, Charlie has been through a woman’s nightmare as betrayal and the ending of her marriage crash in on her. She’s determined to restart her life, has no interest in entanglements of the romantic kind ever again – and is holding on to a secret that’s breaking her heart.
Turner would take his friendship with Charlie to the next “in love” level if she’d let him. He’s also determined to show her that they would make a wonderful and loyal couple, even if she can’t see that right now. So, Turner sets out to win her over – and like any good friend he uses his knowledge of what makes Charlie happy to his (and their) advantage. What follows is a romance that will at times break your heart, and at other times make you believe in the magic of true love once again.
I had a blast back in Last Stand, Texas with Charlie and Turner. If you’re in the mood for a feels so good romance, friends to lovers or maybe a second chance at love romance then TEXAS ON MY MIND would be perfect for you. You don’t “need” to have read HEART OF THE TEXAS DOCTOR to enjoy this one. But, it’s also a great story and will add to your overall enjoyment of this series – in my opinion.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I received an ARC from Netgalley and I am happy to give my honest review.
This was a really quick read about best friends who try their hand at a relationship. I didn’t particularly like the author’s writing style as it felt like you were told and not shown. There was also a lot of repetition and so many characters I couldn’t keep track.
Overall a cute quick read but not my cup of tea.

They say that best friends make the best lovers, but Charlotte "Charlie" Stockton has been ignoring that little voice inside that wonders if she and Turner McBride, her best friend since middle school, could ever be more than friends.
She doesn't want to risk ruining their friendship to find out.
Turner has been thinking of his best friend a lot and has no reservations about taking their relationship to the next level. How to convince Charlie that they truly belong together as more than friends? Turner's brother gives him some advice.
"Treat her like you would any woman you're interested in. She's no different, except you ought to have a really good idea of what she likes."
Turner is a man focused on his objective and doesn't let anything get in his way. You will enjoy reading about Turner's campaign to convince Charlie - great books, movies and, of course, ice cream! Charlie is a tough nut to crack, but Turner doesn't give up Their road to HEA is not without potholes though, as they have to deal with trust issues stemming from Charlie's past.
Texas on My Mind is a charming story and the first that I have read from Eve Gaddy. It is the second book in her Heart of Texas series but reads well on its own. I recommend it and look forward to reading more from this author.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author through NetGalley for my honest review.
This was a wonderful contemporary friends to lovers story, and Charlie’s secret just tugged at my heart strings pulling me into this book, my heart so rooting for Charlie and Turner to work it all out to reach a HEA.
I am really waiting for book three in the Heart of Texas.

Texas on my Mind is the second book in Eve Gaddy’s Heart of Texas series and a wonderful sequel to Heart of the Texas Doctor. Charlotte and Turner have known each other forever and this heartfelt story tells of their complicated transition from friends to lovers and the mixed emotions they endured along the way. Believable character portrayals, an engaging storyline and a wonderful small-town setting, make this well delivered story that I can happily recommend.

Texas On My Mind, a friend to lover story. This was a nice second chance at love, any reader can get behind. A Heart of Texas Romance written by Eve Gaddy was a great read if not one of the best contemporary title that I read this year, and with us over a little halfway through 2019 that is saying a lot.
Turner McBride was a man a mother would hope their daughter would fall in love with. He was thoughtful and didn’t have a bad thing to say about anyone. He was also in love with Charlie, though it took several of his family members before he would even admit it to himself.
Charlotte “Charlie” Stockton after a failed marriage wasn’t looking for love, especially with her long-time best friend Turner McBride. After a charity function, they experience their first kiss and decided to give dating a try, though she was hesitant at first.
I really enjoyed Charlie’s character, but there were several times during the reading, I really wanted to slap her. I have sympathy for her dilemma but at some point, a person must accept what was…is and move on. One of the reasons I enjoyed this title, was the author was able to bring out feelings, only a good author could. By making you able and willing to do bodily harm to another being, even if it’s just a slap to the head.
Texas On My Mind gets a high recommendation from me.

Old friends renew friendship that becomes more. Divorce can be damaging to one's self-esteem. The lovely pie baker has a secret. Family interplay is terrific. Skipped over the intimate details, but the romance was lovely.

Texas on My Mind is another amazing, happy feel good, sexy romantic comedy from Eve Gaddy, and you do not want to miss this fun, feel-good-second-chance romance. Just loved it and can’t get enough of this author books. Happy reading!!

Texas on my Mind is a wonderful sequel to Heart of the Texas Doctor. A friend to lovers story, Charlotte ‘Charlie’ and Turner are engaging character and the storyline is well delivered. I really enjoyed this story and would recommend you pick it up and read it too.

Turner has finally realized that Charlie is the one he wants to be with. All he has to do now is convince Charlie that they can be more than friends and last. But can Charlie get over the hurt from her Ex husband and take a chance on Turner. I practically read this new Eve Gaddy romance in one sitting, and oh does she deliver! Texas on my Mind is the second book in her Heart of Texas series, set in Last Stand, Texas. If you love small towns, this book and series is one you can not miss.

Texas on My Mind is a very good romance. I enjoyed the story line and the author’s writing. Readers of romance will enjoy this book. Thanks to the publisher for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.

I really enjoyed this book. I have read quite a few by Eve Gaddy and her books don't disappoint. This one was a friends to lovers which I absolutely love.

Turner and Charlie (Charlotte) have been friends forever. Now that she is back home, recovering from a nasty divorce and starting up a bakery, things are heating up. Turner is the one who initially starts to step over the line from friend to more, and it takes her longer to get on board. I have read others in this series, and by this author, and like them, but for some reason this one dragged a bit for me. Not sure why. Would still recommend, as I did enjoy it overall, just a bit slow at times.
