Love this series, actually anything by this author. There was plenty of action and suspense and of course the romantic chemistry between the H and h was off the charts, what more could you ask for?

4. 5 out of 5 stars

I honestly thought that Dark Alpha's Awakening was the final book in the series, but one day I stumbled upon this book and I realized that there is a continuation to the series. That makes Dark Alpha's Redemption the 8th book in the series and while it's a story about a new couple, I don't think that it can be read as stand-alone. Heck, the series can't be read as a complete stand-alone since characters and certain situations are from the Dragon Kings series. I have read the books in both series and I still feel like I am missing things. I will have to keep detailed notes if the author keeps releasing books in the series. I want to see the series ending because the big bad lady has been a thorn in our character's side for too long. Also, the book left us with so many questions and I want answers. Usaeil must die ASAP. I can't stand her anymore!

Maeve and Bradach's romance was one to my liking. Bradach hates the Darks because of his past and Maeve is one of them, so he kept trying to resist the pull he was feeling towards her. Maeve is used to be on her own and fighting her enemies without help, so it was not easy for her to let him in. I would have liked to have more pages with just the two of them because the book was short and the story wasn't focused on only one thing.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and it was so easy to read. I would recommend it!

Netgalley provided me with an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.

Maeve and Bradach's insta-love relationship was full of steam-laden moments. However, the plot seemed to stall and meander at times, given the impression it was hastily written.

I found myself skimming certain passages because of the unwieldy prose, and felt disengaged from the plight of the characters.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me through NetGalley. This book was just absolutely wonderful. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just couldn’t put it down. This is the eighth book in the Reapers series and even though I hadn’t read the previous books I was just so lost within this story that I didn’t even care that I hadn’t read the previous books. I most definitely will read more by this author.

I can't help but pick up every new Reapers book that Donna Grant puts out. I love her world building and always look forward to escaping in them.

Dark Alpha's Redemption has Bradach finally meeting his match in Maeve. Death's assassin and a Dark Fae. Love it! The chemistry and action will keep the pages turning. I did feel that I would have benefited from a reread of some of the earlier books in the series but this didn't detract from the enjoyment of reading Dark Alpha's Redemption.

I'm very much looking forward to what is in store in the upcoming books in the Reapers series.

This is the first book from this series that I've read, and I think I missed a lot of the backstory. The characters seemed to be well-played out, but I felt like I came into the middle of conversation.

The story did progress rather well creating an interesting fantasy world. There are a ton of questions that I would like to go back and discover in the first books.

I gave this one 3 out of 5 stars. The plot was fast-paced, but with the lack of background information, it did take me quite a bit of time to figure out what was going on.

The romance was rapid and engaging. I'd recommend this book for fans of darker, fantasy romance readers.

We are so far into this series and spin offs that sometimes it can be hard for me to get through. There are side stories playing amongst the main one and all I want it is the main story.

While this one gave me more background on what’s going on, I didn’t feel the connection too much between the characters. Some of it just feels repetitive.

I give it 4 stars because I love this author and the way she can tell a story. Her writing is excellent and the way she manages to tie things together (while still unraveling others) is amazing.

While this book is part of the "Reaper" series, it can be read as a standalone.

Bradach is one of our newer reapers and he has been given the task of trying to find Queen Usaiel, whom they know has taken another character by the name of Xanath. Bradach is asked to try and get Maeve, who is rumored to be a friend to the evil Queen.

Maeve does agree to help but only because her King has asked her. By doing this, she is now an enemy to the Queen so she is as much a target as Bradach is. These two work very well together and as they do, they find their attraction and feelings growing toward one another. They both have their own private issues to work through if they are to be together in the end.

Will they find the Queen and Xanath? Will they survive?

I have read most of this series and just love it. I loved getting to know these characters and watch them deal with their private fears, the coming of new love and the danger ahead! I always look forward to another book by this author because I really enjoy her writing!

Since Bradach is a newer character, I look forward to seeing he and his team learning to work together as well as the original Reapers and of course, Death herself!

I received this book via NetGalley and have agreed to leave an honest opinion.

Wow ! What a great story filled with tons of intrigue and romance and intense chemistry.I am really enjoying this series so far. This is the kind of story that anything can happen and you never know what's going to happen next.

What happens when your attracted to a women who is part of the Dark Fae and they are everything you hate and despise and betrayed you in the past ?

"Fall hard and fast and totally in love!"

I loved Maeve the Merciless as I found her cunning ,beautiful, smart, sexy, confident and a women deadly in her own right that is hiding a whopping secret and we loved her from the very beginning.

We also loved Bradach and his sexy sense of humor,we loved seeing him come to life right before our eyes and not just existing and we loved that sexy brogue of his. Bradach is a deadly mystery that Maeve is determined to learn more about and vice versa.

We loved this couple together and found that they both were learning to trust someone else something either one has done in a very long time. This couple had chemistry and sizzled but, they also worked well together and both struggled with what they were feeling for one another as both were hiding some very big secrets but, for them consequences be damned.

Overall we really enjoy this story that grabbed you right from the very beginning and had you intrigued to the very end that left you wanting more.We loved that the story was filled with a ton of mystery and suspense that kept you turning the pages that had fun characters.I love a story that has strong female characters as well and this story had just that.We can't wait to see what happens next with secrets, discovered and uncovered and exposed things just heated up yet again .Until next time.....

Dark Alpha's Redemption: A Reaper Novel by Donna Grant is book eight in her series and the continuation of the Reaper story.
Dark Alpha's Redemption is not a standalone, it's best to best read first Dark Alpha's Awakening or you'll be lost. I recommend to read the books in order.
The previous books are Dark Alpha's Claim; Dark Alpha's Embrace; Dark Alpha's Demand; Dark Alpha's Lover; Dark Alpha's Night; Dark Alpha's Hunger and Dark Alpha's Awakening.
The story picks up where Dark Alpha's Awakening was left off. Bradach has a new case, their enemy is vanished and they live in a beautiful new world. He gets assigned to Maeve, a powerful dark Fae who has ties to Xaneth, he's tasked to find her.
What he didn't expect was to fall for the dark Fae and strong female who exactly knows what she wants and how to get it. I'm a sucker for strong main characters and Maeve is everything I love in it.
Dark Alpha's Redemption is a fast paced, excellent written continuation of the fantastic Reaper Series. I give 4,5 Stars.

This book was so great! You will enjoy it even if you haven't read the other books but you will enjoy it so much more if you read the series. Things are starting to heat up with Usaeil and she is starting to go after more people. We can also see how crazy she really is. Bradach is the first Reaper we have a book for from the second group and he has an intense aversion to the Dark. But when he sees Maeve then everything changes. Now that he has brought her into the war he wants to protect her no matter the costs. The book was a quick and action packed read that leaves you wanting more.

Bradach is one of the new and barely heard of reapers. He hates the dark fae but has to work with Maeve of the dark fae because she has information about their warrior Xaneth who is a prisoner of Usaeil. He can't help being attracted to her even if she is dark. Maeve is a strong heroine who can take care of herself in a fight. She finds Bradach attractive and would like to have someone to be with as a couple. A cast of different characters make this story even more interesting and will make you want to read. If you like paranormal and romance you will like this story.

I adore Ms. Grant's Reaper Series and have gobbled up each one as they've come out. I've been waiting for this after the cliff-hangerish ending of Dark Alpha's Awakening. Unfortunately I ended up having to put it aside for now since I felt like I was lost. As much as I've loved the Reapers series, I've only read a handful of the Dark Kings series, not because I didn't like them, but because there are so many of them to catch up on.

Sadly, this book has a huge Rhi/Light Queen connection along with some other connections and I felt clueless. I have no idea when I'll be able to get to the Dark Kings novels, but they are all going on my TBR list. Sadly, without the back story, I felt any potential rating slipping just for the fact I was lost.

This was so good. I couldn’t put it down and I loved every second. The last several books I’ve read have been a struggle and have been real work to get through. It was so refreshing to start this one and find the ease and enjoyment that I typically get out of reading. This one wasn’t a chore. It was enjoyable, so passionate, had great characters, and the plot and long-term conflict within the franchise just keeps heating up. The Dark Kings and Reapers world is heating up and war is just around the corner. Can’t wait for more.

Reaper's series by Donna Grant is a series with a really big world and connections that can reach anywhere. J really like stories of different couples that happens while big overall stories are moving forward.
Yet here I am wondering if that happened. As I feel like here nothing big happened, just preparations for a BIG BOM in the next book. There was a mission, but apparently, it wasn't that important and nothing had happened with it - we'll almost, but I expected more from this.
I'm giving three stars as I feel intrigued what the author had prepared for us in the next book and due to my liking of main characters.

I had a hard time with this entry to the series. It took me a bit to remember the threads of what was going on in the overall arc, mainly because there were very little clues left by the author! I would definitely say that this is NOT a standalone book because of that alone, but there were other factors that lessened my enjoyment of this book overall.

I really felt that nothing special happened in this story! The overall arc was barely advanced, and the romance was practically non-existent! It was a case of insta-lust that got turned into the basis for a true relationship and it didn't seem strong enough to hold up over time. I liked Bradach and Maeve though, especially the dichotomy between their fundamental natures. The thing that irked me was that Maeve's nature really wasn't that well explained, nor why she had to keep it hidden so.

There's a lot of unanswered questions in this one, and mainly felt to me like it was phoned in, since no meaningful advancement happened in the overall arc. Perhaps the author did this to build suspense for the next book? I don't know, but after this installment, I'm not that eager for it either.

I was without a doubt mesmerized by this story between Maeve the Merciless and Bradach the Reaper with its well described battle scenes and depth to the storyline.

Author Donna Grant continues creating one of a kind stories that never cease to amaze me and is one of the reasons that I continue to read everything she writes.

Maeve is a strong dynamic female warrior who can hold her own with any enemy but it was so heartbreaker watching her deal with someone she loves who betrayed her. What I admired about her character was her integrity while being a dark and how she was admired by so many in higher positions than herself.

For a male hero, Bradach didn't stand out as much as Maeve did but he was intriguing and the perfect match for her. He was a strong silent type and very qualified to help protect her but personally I wanted more alpha from him.

This was a great read and I really enjoy it and recommend it to everyone who enjoys paranormal romance.
