This was a great book, I loved Allie and Rory, though at times they both drove me mad. My heart broke for Rory’s mum and I’m intrigued by the new man who moved in to Rory’s house. Perhaps he’ll be in the next book in the series. Always great to catch up with characters from previous books. A very good written story

This was an absolutely wonderful read. It's the third in the Loveheart Lane series but could easily be read as a standalone.
This book follows Rory and Allie. Rory works for the family vet business, but wants to modernise and expand, but is facing resistance from his dad. Allie also works for her family business as a barmaid. They both feel beholden to their family whilst having dreams of a different type of life. Allie thinks they are ready to settle down and when the offer of Clover Cottage is on the table she doesn't understand the upset it causes.
Rory wants to break free and follow his younger dreams but what will that mean for their relationship or for the family.
You really feel the characters being pulled in different directions and can understand each point of view, whilst also thinking about the dream cottage that has such potential but is also going to be a money pit that may be a step too far.
I loved the village community feel with the excitement of a big celebrity staying in their midst. They welcome him and he loves the friendships he witnesses.
You really feel as though you are amongst them, discussing everything and getting to know them. A lovely book.

A return to the village of Heartcross, this time following Allie and Rory's story. Settle down and start a family, or spread your wings first? A familiar dilemma, handled well. Also subplots covering dementia, fame and a legacy resulting from a secret past. I enjoyed it.

Thanks Netgalley, Author and Publisher. Did not realise that this was the 3rd book in the series but still enjoyed it none the less. Loved the characters, descriptions and the storyline. Would recommend.

Honestly one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Officially book three of the Love Heart Lane collection (highly recommend the first two) this boo.k can be read as a single book, but like the first two, this one did it disappoint. Cover to cover in pretty much one sitting. This is a book you can get lost in.
Welcome to Love heart Lane, a small village where everyone knows everyone. We follow the lives of Rory and Allie, highs and lows galore. Can these two survive day to day life with a few added surprises thrown in?
You’ll be captivated from page 1. I was so engrossed that I could picture the village, the people, like I was there. Praise to Christie Barlow on yet another brilliant read. Highly recommend.

I received this book via netgalley and give it my honest review.
Christie Barlow does it again! I could not put this one down! It's full of highs and lows and a few twists that sneek up on you! The village is described in such detail that I could visualise it and would love to live there.
The storyline is beautiful, full of lovable characters and follows the families of Heartcross. It's amazing what having a celebrity stay in the village can do! I recommend this book its grabs you from the first page!

What a fabulous read by Christie Barlow, this is book number three of the love heart lane series set in the beautiful village of Heartcross, scottish highlands along with friends and family and who could want anything more than that?
This story can be read as a stand alone however, who wouldnt like to reread another 2 by the same author which are all equally fantastic. All of the characters are the same in the book but with each couple you get the stories so you know everyone from Heartcross village... Allie is the local barmaid and has no aspirations for anything other than being there for her parents. She is the girlfrind of the local vet Rory, who co owns the vet with his dad Stuart. Allies friends have always been there for her and this book proves we all need our friends, Felicity, isla and meredith are always there for her through the good times and the bad..
A gift turns up to Rory in the form of clover cottage and rory is overwhelmed by Allie who loves the thought of them living in it and renovating it, but Rory isnt too sure. Zach turns up, a famous TV star and does a little filming in the vet and loves how Rory gets on with the screen so offers him a chance to join him in Africa but once he acepts this offer his family needs a more important as Alan has a terrible illness and can Rory leave Heartcross with him mum being so poorly. Friends and family come together in this heartfelt story, there is love, new faces and some old faces with bigger secrets then you can imagine, new homes and new property developers but who will prevail?
Do not put this down, move aside your household duties and enjoy.
This book was given to me by netgalley for a honest review to one of my favourite authors.

When Vet Rory Scott inherits ramshackle Clover Cottage in the quaint village of Heartcross, Allie MacDonald just knows this is their happy ever after. A place to call home with the man she loves – it’s her dream come true!

Well, when I started to read this book I just had to keep reading until the end. It was a lovely story of family, romance and friendships. I particularly liked the connection between Rory and Zach who is a TV star, the animals love them all too. A really good read that I would recommend.

Another great book from the Love Heart series, this was such an enjoyable read and kept me entertained throughout.

Being honest, It took me a while to warm to the characters in this novel. Rory the vet was selfish and entitled, Allie his girlfriend needy and dependent. Clover cottage from the title? Bequeathed to Rory’s parents who then gifted to their ungrateful son (already living mortgage/ rent free in another property) with acres of land...I’m all for escaping reality through fiction, but really!!

This is linked into a new series, as characters did become more interesting and developed towards the end. I would still consider reading the next, even if I was disappointed in this one!

Christie Barlow has fast become one of my favourite authors! Her books are a ray of sunshine when you read them, even if sad things happen because they are so well written with such engaging characters. I'm always recommending her books to fans of Cathy Bramley and Julie Caplin.

Christie has managed to deliver another heartwarming tale from Heartcross and I can’t wait to read the next book! Will Allie get the job? How will Rory cope in Africa? Will their relationship strengthen with their time apart? And how will Stuart cope back at Heartcross,
Christie has a knack of creating characters we care about!

Felt good to be back in Heartcross, meeting old friends. This was the story of Allie & Rory, their family and friends. When after a turn of events,, Allie and Rory find themselves facing an uncertain future, along with an expected shock with Rory’s family. But as always, this book had a happy ending for Allie and Rory. Such a lovely book, awaiting the next with bated breath. Totally recommend it.
