Accidental pregnancies aren't my favorite thing in romance books, but I don't mind it. I don't read a lot of best-friends to lovers, which I do enjoy, I just don't end up reading them a lot, so I was very interested in this book.

I loved the friendship between Pru and Finn, they had a really strong bond, but they also had been hiding their feelings for one each other for a really long time. Like it was so obvious to everyone but them, it was actually kind of comical.

The book continues with the two of them kind of walking on eggshells around each other, because Finn is not sure he wants to be a father and Pru wants to stick to her plan of motherhood all by her damn self. Which causes a lot of friction between these two and I just wanted to be scream at them, "Just get together already!" Pru with her plans and wanting to stick to them kind of annoyed me. Life doesn't let you stick to plans and you need to pivot. I just found it frustrating how she wouldn't let Finn help her.

There's a little drama in this one towards the end where the tension and the confusion has to finally come to a head. This was frustrating to read about because again I just wanted to shake Pru! Never fear there is a HEA in this one!

This is an adult romance so of course there are some sexy times to be had in this one. Honestly? Compared to other books I've read, it wasn't too graphic. Just a warning if you don't like book sex.

The Best Friend Problem is my first book by this author. If you're looking for a cute and quick romance, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
I love the friends to lovers trope and when you throw in a surprise pregnancy its even better! I will say that I didn't connect with the characters all that well. I feel like I needed more from them to feel that love and chemistry. However, it was still a cute and quick read.

The Best Friend Problem by Mariah Ankenman was great book! I love story that has friends turn into lovers. This was my first Mariah Ankenman and from what I read I would love to read more of her books

Pru is determined to start a family even if mean she must do it with a partner. She now she has friends who support her. Finn is part of Pru circle of friends who will be there to help her. When one night bring them together it start them down road to being more than just friends. I love the story. It was sad to see Pru feeling lonely without her family. However when you took in the fact that her 2 girl best friends, Finn and his family where it made you realize she was never truly without a true family. I enjoyed how the story brought Pru and Finn together.

I really enjoyed this book. I had hard time putting it down. Love the storyline and the characters.

I love anything with an unexpected, but welcome, baby! This was really cute and I loved that the two characters were already best friends. She is a wedding planner and he is a fireman. Both are worried about having a lasting relationship because of the danger of his job. But, they both figure it out and there is a cute surprise in the storyline!

3.5 stars
Cute, predicable friends to lover story. Pru and Finn have always been friends who have not seen what has been in front of them the whole time. And now they are having a baby!

If you're looking for a cute and quick romance - here you go! One of my favorite tropes is the ones where friends turn into lovers, but my absolute fav is an accidental pregnancy. The Best Friend Problem combines both of them to create a sweet and romantic story.

Pru and Finn were a match made in heaven. I absolutely loved their intense connection with each other. They both supported each other in everything they did, and always talked about their issues. They never left words unspoken or minced words with each other. I find being blunt and talking out your issues or problems a thrill. So many things can be solved if people were honest and communicated.

The Best Friend Problem by Mariah Ankenman has it all...swoons, laughs and so much chemistry. A best friend/surprise baby story that is the perfect recipe to win your heart. It was a lighthearted and low angst story of friendship and love that I could not put down until I finished. Good banter between Finn and Pru as you watched them overcome their own issues and fears and admit how they felt about each other. This story is witty and very well written.

This is prudence and Finn book, prudence thinks of herself as a lucky in life, she’s a wedding planner with her girlfriends in Colorado, and its a thriving business! She also has the best guy friend ever in her firefighter Besty Finn! the only thing missing from her life is a baby! Luckily it’s the 21st-century and she can’t take matters into her own hands she doesn’t need true love to create The main love of her life ,a baby! Finn is a hot firefighter and he’s been best friends with Pru almost all his life, they’ve survived college, new jobs, bad break ups but after a night of drinking can they survive a baby?! This book was really good, I was pleasantly surprised. I’m usually not too much into the pregnancy/baby genre but this one was done very well it was funny It had a little light drama , a little bit of angst, Some heartbreak and definitely some heart ache it was also hot hot hot and as I said really funny! Definitely don’t miss out on this one it’s well worth the read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

This book was hilarious. A wonderful friends to lovers romance. I mean, come on, what do you do when you finally do the deed with your best friend and end up pregnant? Pru, had her plans all laid out, pardon the pun. Finn, changes those plans and isn’t afraid to push Pru to do the same. An amazing, comfortable read.

This is an enjoyable friends to lovers novel. Pru is hearing her biological clock ticking loudly and desperately wants a baby, even though she's not in a relationship. Finn never wants a wife or children and is Pru's best friend. As Pru waits for her artificial insemination, she and Finn cross a boundary they've never gone near before. Predictably, at her doctor's appointment, rather than learn she's read for insemination, she learns she's already pregnant.

The characters are likable, however they didn't really resonate with me and I had difficulty connecting with them. I have no idea why, as the characters are well thought out and developed. Additionally, the first part of the book seemed to drag to me. It seemed to take too long for the set up and for it to get to the "meat" of the story. However, once it got to the heart of the story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fans of the genre will enjoy this book and will want to add it to your TBR list.

Pru is the financial brains behind a wedding planning business that she co-owns with her best friends. While she longs for a nuclear family of her own, her relationships have been a bust. Because she feels her biological clock ticking, she decides to have a baby via artificial insemination.

Finn is a hot firefighter, who never seems to go out with a woman more than once. His only long-term relationship is with his best friend, Pru. Finn is shell shocked when Pru tells him that she plans to have a baby on her own; however he wants to be supportive. He suggests they celebrate by having a few shots. After getting a little drunk they end up sleeping together.

When Pru goes for her initial appointment prior to insemination, a urinalysis reveals that she is already pregnant - with Finn’s baby. Can two best friends, accept that the reason they have never had successful long-lasting relationships is because they love each other?

This is a sweet and funny story with witty dialogue to keep readers well entertained as they root for Pru and Finn!

This was a fun, quick read! Friends to more is one of my favorite tropes so I was excited to read The Best Friend Problem.

Finn and Pru have been best friends since they were teenagers and nothing has changed their dynamic until now. Pru wants to have a baby but doesn't want to wait to find the right partner. Finn doesn't have serious relationships with anyone. When their one night together gets Pru pregnant their friendship is thrown for a loop.

I really liked how supportive Finn and Pru were of each other. They were truly the most important person in each other's lives. Their inside jokes and banter felt spot on for two people who have a long history together.

As the story is told in dual POV it was nice to see the issues and concerns that each of them had about their changing relationship and the pregnancy. The story didn't feel rushed and the concerns that they had didn't feel trumped up or fake.

Pru's business partners and girl friends Lily and Mo were really great characters too. I hope there are more books to come with their stories!

Enjoyable and well written but predictable romance. Pru is single and wants a family, she has close friends but she also wants to be a mother more than anything so she decides to go the insemination route. But first she has to tell her best friends and roomies.

Her friends are ecited for her but Finn and her get drunk for the last time and end up between the sheets and as you would guess thats how the baby occurs. She is very happy about that but she was not planning on the baby having a dad so when Finn wants to get involved it becomes much more complicated than she wants.

Finn and Pru are good friends but love has never entered it on either side. Finn is a fireman and he knows how scary and dangerous it is and so he has never desired a wife or family even if he is besties with Pru. So its also very different for him.

I felt I would have liked more romance in the story and more love. I did nit really feel an attraction between Pru or Finn. I also felt the book was failry predictable. That said I did enoy the story and the characters.
