Typical Mrs. Miracle book. Fun read for the holiday season. The grandmother character is charming. Funny yet sad.
Macomber is an angel herself, bringing us soul-quenching stories that provide a lovely balance to life in our stressful world. You just breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you have her words before you, ready to transport you. She has, again, built a charming, warm and wonderful world, adding magic along the way, pulling at heartstrings along the way. I've read many Macomber novels, and this one stands out as among her most inspired. Loved it a thousand ways.
I received an ARC copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I so enjoyed this book. I normally read psychological thrillers but it is so nice to just read a light read with romance and a little bit of humor. This book really makes you realize that yes, there are angels amongst us.
Thank you Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I am a huge fan of Debbie Macomber books, and I was SO excited when I had the chance to read this book.
This story is everything you could want or expect from a Debbie Macomber book. This is the perfect heart felt Christmas story. Lauren and Zach are dreaming of having a baby, but are having trouble. Helen, Lauren’s grandma, is suffering from dementia, so Lauren and Zach moved in to take care of her.
They decide to hire a care giver to help with Helen, and that’s when Mrs. Miracle arrives to help. Mrs. Miracle and Helen become fast friends. Mrs. Miracle is sweet, loving, and so funny. She breaks all the rules of being an angel and starts sharing secrets with Helen.
This book is the perfect book to cozy up by the fire on Christmas Day and read. If you love all things Christmas, and a heart warming story about love and having children. This book is the perfect match for you!
Laurel and Jack have been praying for a baby but have given up hope. They have had unsuccessful IVF treatments and had a baby claimed by the Father after caring for him for months. Laurels Grandmother is experiencing dementia and can no longer be left alone. Enter Mrs Miracle, an angelic caregiver.
This was a heartwarming Christmas book. It has a brief appearance by characters in a former book by this author. If you are looking for a feel good book that will leave you with a smile on your face, this is the one for you. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
A Mrs Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber. One of the highlights of the holiday season is Ms Macomber's Christmas stories. This delightful story brings back Mrs. Miracle and twinkling glimpses of Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Heartwarming story with Lauren, Zach and Nana Helen filled with hope, love and miracles of the Christmas Season.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book
If you are a fan of Mrs. Miracle you will love this book. Debbie always brings Christmas alive in her novels. When Mrs. Miracle arrears to spread miracles you will be delighted. As a fan of Debbie and her Christmas books this is one of her best. I read this novel within a couple of hours, that's how good it is. I highly recommend and give it 5 stars.
Debbie Macomber is the undisputed Queen of Christmas novels and for me, it’s always the unofficial start to the season when her yearly holiday offering releases. Mrs. Miracle is one of her best-known characters (a title very much deserved) and I was beyond excited to see this angel in disguise make her third appearance in A Mrs. Miracle Christmas.
This time around Mrs. Miracle pops into the lives of a couple (Zach and Lauren) who have been desperate (to the point of almost giving up) for a baby and need a little extra help with Lauren’s grandmother (Helen) who is suffering from dementia. Mrs. Miracle guides the couple through a bit of healing and helps Helen feel more comfortable with her failing memory. Soon, the whole family is remembering the good times and preparing for what might be the biggest Christmas miracle of us.
While I think this entry is the weakest entry in the Mrs. Miracle series, it’s so nice to spend time with this character again. Way better than Mr. Miracle and a lot of Mrs. Macomber’s holiday offers over the past five years. I loved the inclusion of a few other “angels” along the way and the cute little Hallmark channel call out.
I feel like I must point out - I would not recommend this book to anyone who is having difficulties conceiving. The story is a bit too tidy and unbelievable and may cause additional pain instead of inspiring holiday spirit and hope.
Loved this book. Great Christmas story. Loved the plot, characters and the writing. If you enjoy Christmas books don’t miss this one. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.
A MRS. MIRACLE CHRISTMAS is everything you would expect a Debbie Macomber Christmas book to be. It is a heart warming story of faith and belief in the power of prayer. The story revolves around a young couple that want to start a family, but have had multiple setbacks. They share a home with "Grandma Helen", and that is how they meet Mrs. Miracle. Anytime the angels get involved, you know its going to be fun! This addition to the Mrs. Miracle collection is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. A special thank you to Ballantine Books and Netgalley for this ARC. A MRS. MIRACLE CHRISTMAS was a joy to read. I highly recommend this book.
Another great Christmas story from Debbie Macomber. I look forward to these each year. I love that she brought back Mrs. Miracle.
What's better than a vacation to the beach or the mountains? Taking an arc of Debbie Macomber' new Christmas novel with you. To top it off its a Mrs. Miracle novel! Enough said. Run to the store and buy this book the day its released. You can thank me later.
You know it's approaching the holidays when we get a Debbie Macomber Christmas novel! I was trying to save this book, but I just couldn't. I had to dive in and read it. I LOVED this book. This story revolves around Lauren & Zach, a childless couple, and Helen, Lauren's grandmother who has dementia. We also have a return of Mrs. Miracle, whom I absolutely adore. There is a lot of knitting in this story, which I will confess, I learned how to knit because of Debbie Macomber. I loved all the characters in this book. Lauren is an elementary school teacher and Zach is a computer programmer. They are childless, but have struggled with IVF and had a foster child adoption fall through. Helen has dementia and is unable to live alone any longer, so Lauren and Zach have moved in with her. Mrs. Miracle has come to be a companion of Helen's during the holiday season. This book will make you laugh and cry and believe in Christmas miracles. It is definitely a must read for the holiday season. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is such a heart warming story! Zach and Laurel are such a lovely couple. They both want a baby so much but Laurel has given up. Her Nana has dementia and they hire Mrs. Miracle to care for her. This is such a beautiful Christmas story about hope and miracles.. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another Macomber book- YES ... Another Macomber Christmas book - YES
Another book w/ Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy - YES! I love this trio!
Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy is how I discovered Debbie Macomber many years ago, and I am
so grateful for her books- they are a light in the darkness for me.
Thank you for granting me an ARC!!
Christmas time = a season for miracles
I love Mrs Miracle and her special "knowledge."
This time, w/ current events, we all need this message/outlook of miracles in our midst.
We need Guardian Angels and Prayer Ambassadors!!
Thank you Debbie, for bringing us more Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy and aiding Mrs. Miracle = classic!
A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is like a warm blanket on a cold winters night. If you are a true believer in Christmas miracles, this heartwarming story will stay with you beyond the last chapter. The story is well written, the characters well developed and likeable. You. can see the chapters played out before your very eyes. An enjoyable holiday read.
This was a magical and inspirational Christmas story. It was a story of loss but also of remembrance. The writing was beautiful as all of Debbie Macomber's books I have read are. She ties faith and family together so perfectly. I loved this particular part so much...."That's the price we pay when we love. It's joy and loss all wrapped up in one package....." That is the truth and I have never heard it explained so honestly before. I also loved this part...."Her Mother once told her that every problem in life could be settled with three things : a hot cup of tea, enough time, and God's wisdom". I agree with that so much! Thank you Netgalley, Random house and Debbie Macomber so much for the e - galley of this book. It truly was a great read and I will be buying and reading more Christmas books by Debbie soon! I am definitely feeling an early Christmas spirit this year!
I love Christmas stories. I do. I know they are predictable, often times cheesy and unrealistic, but oh, they are warm, and delightful, and make me happy to my core. Add in Debbie Macomber, Queen of Christmas stories and a delightful return of Mrs. Miracle, and you cannot go wrong. I enjoyed sharing in this young couple's struggle to move forward after loss and tragedy and the addition of Mrs. Miracle in the process. The grandmother all but steals the show and deserves center stage in this one. I enjoyed Mrs. Miracle breaking the rules and "sharing" or revealing more than she usually does in order to see health and healing in a wonderful woman dealing with Alzheimer's disease. An absolute must read for the holiday season and will make a thoroughly satisfying movie as well.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All comments, thoughts, and opinions are my own.
Heartwarming Christmas story that will make you believe in Angels. Lauren and Zach have had their heart broken in the past - first by not being able to conceive and then by having an infant taken back by the parent. All they ever wished for was to be parents. With the help of Mrs. Miracle the hope that they lost is restored and their wishes are granted. With beautifully written characters and a wonderful holiday storyline this will become one you will want to read over and over.
Laurel and Zach have been married for several years, but have been unable to have a child of their own. They were in the process of adopting an infant, when the birth father appeared and decided to raise the child. Giving the child up nearly broke their hearts. Laurel has given up home of being a parent, but Zach hasn’t completely given up home.
Zach and Laurel live with Lauren’s grandmother, Helen, who raised her following her mother’s death. Helen has developed dementia, so Laurel reaches out to an agency to request a caregiver for Helen while she and Zach are at work. This is when Mrs. Miracle enters their world. It turns out that Mrs. Miracle is an angel sent by Gabriel to help their family. Mrs. Miracle shares her true identity with Helen as well as upcoming events.
Laurel fears that she isn’t enough for Zach and tells him that he needs a wife who can given him children and offers to let him go. Can Mrs. Miracle help this sweet family find a Christmas miracle?
