Whew, what a conclusion! There is a lot that happens in this one, it definitely ties everything up. Oh man, poor Vaughn just couldn’t catch a break it seems. And Ryker...his heart is in the right place but it was like he was messing up left and right. There were a couple of twist and turns, it was certainly entertaining and I really liked how it all turned out.
The secrets that Vaughn keeps!
Lawyer Ryker Lockhart has fallen in love with escort agency owner Vaughn Sanders but she doesn’t want a relationship because she trying to adopt her niece to get her away from her druggie brother-in-law plus save up enough money so she can become a teacher and get out of the escort business.
Ryker never thought that he would fall in love but when he finds out that Vaughn has been keeping secrets and when he tries to solve the mysteries about Vaughan, he opens up even more problems for both of them.
There is so much going on in the book that even trying to describe it in a few words isn’t going to happen because K. Bromberg has written a book that is very good and packed so much information into it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Love wasn’t something Ryker ever thought was for him, but meeting Vaughn gave him a glimpse of what could be; but, there’s someone else who wants Vaughn and he will stop at nothing to get her. So, Ryker must play a very dangerous game in order to keep Vaughn safe and his.
This is not a standalone; to understand Reveal you must first read Resist. Reveal picks up with Ryker trying to reconnect with Vaughn after she left him at his Hamptons’ home with her biggest enemy.
Ryker and Vaughn continue to make their relationship work while trying to stay one step ahead of Carter (who is determined to have Vaughn for himself), see that Vaughn gets custody of her niece, piece together what part Vaughn’s uncle played in what lead to her and her sister running away, and dealing with the FBI.
This book didn’t grab me the way the first one did, but it did tie up loose ends. I still enjoyed Vaughn and Ryker and their chemistry was still very evident.
My suggestion would be to read the two books back to back for more of an impact.
Wow! This duet didn’t disappoint... I. Couldn’t wait to read Reveal after finishing resist. The cliff hanger had me so ready to find out what happened.. This book Doesn’t miss a beat submerging you into the world of Ryker and Vaughn . K Brombeg does it again , it’s another phenomenal series I will read again and again.
Ryker is the perfect Main male character ,he is flawed but his loyalty is unwavering. Vaughn is strength personified, You as the reader really feel all Vaughn’s emotions throughout the book, you feel her love for Lucy, her worry she will lose her to her father, her relationship with ryk, and the turmoil with carter.
I love how all the pieces of this story came together in the end, well with that one little twist I didn’t,see coming.
Thank you netgalley and K, Bromberg for allowing me to read this advanced copy.
Absolute PERFECTION. If I’ve ever read a more satisfying conclusion to a series, I’m not sure what it is. From the very beginning, this couple’s story drew me in completely. I never would’ve expected to love a book about a madam and one of her clients, but that’s exactly what happened during the first book in this duet, and I was devastated by the turn of events at the end (in addition to the wait I would have to endure before reading the conclusion). This certainly did not disappoint; it is just as much about Ryker and Vaughn’s deepening feelings for each other as it is about the suspense, which makes the pages fly by. Bromberg’s exquisite writing makes this unlikely couple one of my all-time favorites, and will put her future books at the top of my to be read list.
Please, please, please do not read this book without having read Resist first. This is 100% a duet, as the story picks up right where that one left off. You will miss out on so much by reading them out of order, and anyone who has read the first needs no explanation as to the plot of this book. You will not be disappointed if you take a chance on this unusual couple - Ryker is 100% alpha who will do anything to keep Vaughn happy and healthy, while Vaughn is a fiery but relatable heroine who brings Ryker to his knees. A big thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC so I didn’t have to wait so long to read the conclusion of this duet. I am voluntarily leaving a review of this deeply romantic and suspenseful book.
REVEAL is one heck of a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. You can feel Vaughn’s hurt after what happened at the end of RESIST and you can also sympathize with Ryker and his need to apologize. There is so many things at play in REVEAL that there is never a dull moment and just when you think it’s all over… damn, I never saw that one coming. To top it all off, it end with not only a dual POV epilogue but one that will leave you smiling.
Whew what a roller-coaster ride Ms Bromberg took us on in part two and it was so brilliantly done. At the end of book one we were shocked by what Ryker did to disrespect the woman he supposedly loved, at the beginning of book two we find out why he did what it did but boy did it backfire on him and it earned him a dangerous enemy.
Everything that Vaughn has always been afraid of is about to rain down on her in buckets and I thought that would be no way out for her. Though she has a hard time trusting Ryker she cannot deny the intense feelings that she has for him. Ryker begs for forgiveness and tries to redeem himself by going head to head with her enemy trying to stop him from bringing Vaughn down.
Vaughn is suddenly confronted by another but totally unexpected adversary and finds that Ryker is also threatened with ruin. Despite her world collapsing around her Vaughn proves how strong and shrewd she is. She will not lay down and die but uses all the ammunition at her disposal to bring down her biggest enemy, and when her dark past is in danger of being revealed, Ryker goes on his own personal crusade to save her life from ruin.
This story is so intense with so many things going on that you might wonder how it is going to end and will all the loose ends be tied up successfully. As always Ms Bromberg does not let her readers down. How it all plays out might surprise you, but you will cheer for Ryker and Vaughn as they get their HEA.
So much deception! Secrets, lies, cons, bribes. It was like WTF is going on. Ryker made a HUGE mistake (because for a smart guy, he was dumb AF) so you get lots of groveling. But, even that takes kind of a back seat to the numerous mysteries going on simultaneously! This duet is stunning!
Well, that was a big roller coaster ride! After Book one ended in a cliffhanger, this book starts off with Rykers POV.
This story was all over the place. Even though we get more of Ryker, I still didn’t fall for his Character. Even Vaughn was a bit “meh” for me.
I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.
You need to have read Resist before diving in to Reveal, is it carries on right where the first book finished off.
Ugh, now at the end of the first book I was so annoyed with our leading lady. Seriously Vaughn, after all you and Ryker had been through, you run off p!ssed at him and the world and don't let him talk to you. Did you really think that was what happened. Ugh. This is a big bug bear of mine, when the characters don't communicate.
After they got past that, it was an intriguing story. Who was messing with Vaughn? What had she gotten caught up in. I was riveted the whole time I was reading.
And Ryker, Ryker, Ryker - for a smart man, you were a bit gullible.
There were so many questions after the first book, and I was not sure that Ms Bromberg was going to be able to tie up all the loose ends in the second installment, however I shouldn't have worried, she never lets me down that way.
There were a couple of twists that I certainly did not see coming too!

Don't read this 2nd book if you haven't read the first one yet!
Book 2 starts a few minutes before the first book ended.
We get to see the last scene from Ryker's POV.
And then it will take Ryker and Vaughn a good long time to stop fighting and to finally get together to fight for their future and against that effing senator!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH VAUGHN & RYKER ?
WILL THERE FINALLY BE A HAPPY END?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

Well, I didn't really love-love it. But I already knew about that by the end of book #1. The way Vaughn runs away after hearing Ryker say all those things. How could she believe he meant it? How??? I just don't get it. And the 2nd book starts with her being soo pissed for so long. I wanted to reach into my kindle and throw her out the nearest window. I almost stopped reading ... But of course she couldn't resist Ryker's adorableness for too long.
And then the story gets interesting again. Sexy. Fun. Exciting. Dangerous.
But then Kristy goes and lets our darlings do so many stupid things. Ryker the lawyer gets played like an idiot and they don't talk to each other and how can Vaughn even be a Madam in the first place, when Lucy is the most important thing in her life?
The whole story has so many holes and problems for me.
But still. I loved Ryker and Vaughn and Lucy.
I hated many moments - especially in this 2nd book - but I also really loved them all and the end was adorably perfect.
Maybe this just wasn't my kind of book. It was ridiculous and stupid at times. But pfff - it's supposed to be easy entertainment - and it did entertain me here and there. ☺
Those two books should've been fixed by an amazing editor who would've turned them into one sexy & exciting dramance!
► REVEAL was a great finale in this Escort-Lawyer Dramance! Lots of adorable, fun, frustrating, sexy & serious moments! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Ryker - this one is MINE!!! ☺
I love love love this book. Full of drama, passion, twists and turns to keep you engrossed right to the end. There is more to this story than I expected and you will be totally drawn in. I was left gasping for breath, iPad warm from swiping, throat clenched and on the edge of my seat as these characters and their emotionally beautiful journey they go on to get HEA!! A must read! Happy reading!!

A second book to the series with so many suspense that my head it’s still spinning around.
I loved how everything is unfolding and the love and chemistry between Vaughn and Ryker is so palpable.
There are many twists and turns that will keep you on the edge till the last page. There were moments where the characters were so flawed that I thought how can they be so stupid or stubborn but that’s the beauty of the story no?
Favourite quote:
“you don’t always have to find love in the sunrise because it can often be found in the sunset.
The man who said he didn’t believe in love, loving the woman who said she never could love.”
I really liked how this book started out in Ryker's POV for the events that transpired at the end of book one. I had no idea who he and Vaughn were going to get past that horrible evening. Vaughn really set herself up to be at risk for a lot of things in her life. She blamed Ryker for her situation, but she really had to look at herself and her choices. Although her intentions were pure, her choice of getting ahead of her debt was not. At the end of the day, she was where she was because she chose to skirt outside of the law.
I found it difficult to comprehend her unwillingness to face problems head on. I did like how Ryker showed his true colors and tried to do what was best for Vaughn, even if it went against his instincts. I felt she needed to do the same for him at points. She was somewhat selfish and needy and had no issue throwing ultimatums and pushing him away. It did get old a few times when she lamented how her life had gone so far off the rails, but the fact remains that she was on Carter's radar before Ryker entered her life.
The book did a great job of keeping me entertained and guessing how it was all going to play out. Vaughn was adamant that she didn't need someone to save her, or even help her. She was very wrong and I liked how she finally saw Ryker for what he was. She had to own some harsh truths about herself to figure out what someone would do for those they love.
I did like how K. Bromberg was able to get you to see how, even though they were opposites, they worked well together. I liked the ending and was glad to have read this series.
Reveal by K. Bromberg a five-star read that will reveal the whole story. This is part two in the Wicked Ways series and what a finally!! Vaughn and Ryker will just leave your head spinning, they will suck you in so hard. They are so human, as ‘to be human is to be beautifully flawed’, it just made them so much more in my eyes. I don’t know what to say as I don’t want to reveal anything that could spoil number one, this has been such a thrilling series to read. I don’t know what to put on paper, but the one thing I will say is that this one just built on the last and it surprised me so much.
K. Bromberg has smashed the conclusion to Vaughn and Ryker’s story out of the park! While I was initially miffed that the first book ended in a cliff-hanger, the author was definitely redeemed with the second instalment of this riveting and edge of your seat tale. Heart in your throat, tear your hair out, and lack of breath moments were just some of the things I experienced reading this book. This is certainly a story that must be read in its entirety to truly be appreciated.
This is the second book in the Wicked Ways Duet. Ryker and Vaughn had connected in the first book but then things went wrong. There were so many challenges that they had to fight through that it made you wonder if it was going to work out. This is another amazing book by K. Bromberg that is sweet, but suspenseful and makes you want to root for Ryker and Vaughn to be together. Definitely recommend this book.
4.5 Star review of Reveal (Wicked Ways #2) by K Bromberg
Whenever I see the name Kristy Bromberg I know I am in for a great read and Reveal was no exception. This is the conclusion to the Wicked Ways duet, so if you haven’t read Resist, then do not continue, as this book picks up where Resist ends.
From the first to the last chapter, I was riveted to the roller coaster story that Ms. Bromberg wove. I loved the characters of Ryker Lockhart and Vaughn Sanders although at times I wanted to scream in frustration.
There is so much going on in this story with mysteries, secrets, lies and deception. Reveal is an emotional and intense story that had my heart beating so fast whilst sitting on the edge of my seat. An intense, gripping story that sends you on the ride of your life!! To find out what happens, 1 click it, you won't be sorry!
As I have come to expect from her books, this author has delivered strong characters written with depth and an ending that will leave you shaking your head.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.
Wow!! This is an absolutely amazing conclusion to this duet by Kristy Bromberg! Intense, suspenseful emotional and sexy, the second half of Vaughn and Ryker’s story is everything I hoped for and more! So many crazy unexpected things happen that make this such a heart racing epic conclusion.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Netgalley.
The title says it all will Reveal give us the answers we are desperately seeking or are we still on the rollercoaster ride of secrets, mysteries and cons....
Ryker was the bad guy in Resist and it was pure genius from the author to give us his POV at the start of Reveal. Ryker may have messed up badly and it seems there is no going back and no forgiving until you read and understand why he did the things he did but understanding may not be enough for Vaughn as she try’s to do what’s right for her niece.
This book is an intense story and it will touch you on so many different levels, this story also has its fair share of secrets and surprises so if you think book 1 left you with a book hangover be prepared for an even big one from Reveal. The chemistry this couple share is intense and even when it seems life is destined to keep them apart they always find there way back to each other. This is certainly one of the best duets of 2019 and once again we see how talented this author is as she joins these two books together perfectly. Brilliant must read of the year.
