Complex characters and pulse-pounding chemistry make Reveal by Author K Bromberg one of my all time favorite reads!
The hot, romantic tension and sexy back and forth will have you fanning yourself as you flip the pages and devour this multi layered adventure in reading. You can always trust this author to deliver a skillfully written, sublime read!

In the final book in the duet, Ryker has a lot of explaining to do with Vaughn and it's an uphill battle from start to finish. Vaughn is still trying to figure out what to do about Carter who is now determined more then ever to take her out.
There are times when I got frustrated with Vaughn because she kept going back and forth on whether or not she is going to trust Ryker. Though he did some shady things to warrant not being forgiven, it was just more of the back and forth on her own decision. She said she did but then over the slightest thing go back to hating him.
i did enjoy the suspense part of the story. There is a lot of build up between Carter and Vaughn. Then at the end we get not only one but two big surprises. It felt like a movie unfolding and once we got to the climax, you won't be able to put the story down.
Wicked Ways is definitely one of the top duets that I have read this year! Vaughn & Ryker’s story is a must read!
These beautifully complex characters of Vaughn & Ryker consumed me from the first page to the last! Vaughn & Ryker’s journey was in no way an easy one, but was worth it in the end. I had learned while reading to expect the unexpected. I don’t want to spoil the story in anyway so read and be ready to fall in love with these characters!
I can’t wait for more by K. Bromberg!
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Reveal is the conclusion of Vaughn and Ryker's story and I think K. Bromberg did a great job with this duet with fantastic writing and a compelling and compelling storyline.
The story begins from where the other book left off and without wanting to go into detail I can only say that it was good to have Ryker's point of view to understand what was going through his mind at that time. This book has more drama, more mysteries, and events than the first. I think while the first book served to show the characters and kick-start the story, it was here that the "action" really happened.
What can I say about the characters? Vaughn pissed me off at times in this book, there were times when I wanted to tell her to stop being so stubborn and accept help, even understanding her motives. And Ryker, is that character who was a jerk at the beginning of the book and made things harder for the heroine, but in my view has been redeemed throughout the book.Together they had a fantastic chemistry and even their relationship going on "fast" K. Bromberg did a great job of making their romance believable and captivating. I loved them together and every page hoped they would finally have their happy ending.
Although I think in the end everything was explained and the story made a full circle I found the ending a bit run and wish I had seen more.
Reveal brings a satisfying ending to this duet by creating a deliciously intriguing and totally addictive storyline.
Reveal is book two in the Wicked Ways duet and it picks up where Resist leaves off, with Vaughn feeling used and lied to by Ryker after overhearing Ryker and Carter's conversation.
While Resist was a little more lighthearted, I felt like Reveal was heavy on the drama and plot twists, which at times, made the book somewhat hard to follow.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. But, I think the drama could have been taken down a few levels.
In this conclusion to Bromberg's "Resist", Vaughn (Vee) is struggling to handle the influential client, a senator, who is determined to take her down any way he can including rape. She has some dirt on him but he is not without resources himself. Ryker, Vee's boyfriend, is trying to help her but things are so complicated that he makes a huge mistake instead. Vee and Ryker struggle to keep the past in the past and to have a future together. It seems like the whole world is trying to take Vee down but she's got a plan to fix it all with the help of the FBI. Satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable romance.
Goodness, what a wild ride this book was! Kristy left us on a doozy of a cliffhanger at the end of Resist, and not gonna lie, my mind was racing with what the hell was really going on and how was Ryker going to get himself out of the mess he landed in.
I am SO happy that Kristy starts Reveal out in Ryker's point of view. I mean yes, he has a reputation as being a world class prick and a take no prisoners lawyer to get what he needs for his clients, but I thought he had been turning a huge corner with Vaughn, only to act the way he did at the very end of book 1. He had some serious making up to do with Vaughn, and bless her, she made him WORK FOR IT!
Poor Vaughn, everything and the kitchen sink gets thrown at her in this book! I was getting stressed out and having stomach aches over the things she had to deal with! But Kristy illustrates perfectly what a fighter Vaughn is, how much strength and perseverance she had to weather all the storms thrown at her.
Some whacked out things happened this go around, worse than in the first book, but we finally get all the answers to everything we were left hanging with from the beginning. And Ryker and Vaughn together? An unstoppable team!
Kristy certainly wove a twisted, turning tale and I tried to figure out what all was going to happen but ultimately I just gave up and held on for the ride! Vaughn and Ryker both did a lot of soul searching and figured out exactly was the most important to them, and I absolutely loved them together. And Lucy Loo, of course!!
The ending put the biggest smile on my face, and I hate that this is the end of the story. I hope these characters continue to pop up as cameos in future stories from Kristy, I don't want to say goodbye!
Reveal is such an intriguing as well as a riveting story that will send you on a roller coaster of a ride!
It starts where Resist ended and believe me when I say your heart will beat so fast at what the characters go through!
I really empathize with Vaughn. She is really trying her absolute best for her niece but there are certain people standing in her way!
I swear Ryker and Vaughn don’t deserve anything that they go through and I was so very worried for what the outcome might be!
Ryker is so incredibly swoonworthy!! That man I tell you!!!
An intense, gripping story that sends you on the ride of your life!! To find out what happens, 1 click it, you won't be sorry!
Highly recommended duet!
Oh, sweet baby Jesus! This was everything I wanted and nothing I was expecting!
Vaughn and Ryker’s story picks up where it heartbreakingly broke off in book one. Ryker has messed up royally, as in there is no going back after his actions. We get his point of view and we understand the why, but you know, sometimes that just doesn’t justify a person’s actions. And Vaughn does not yield to his explanations and pleas for forgiveness. If you like groveling, the first forty percent of this book is filled with the angst of this couple trying to deal with his betrayal and how that affects Vaughn, not just emotionally, but in a way that opens the door to danger.
I loved watching Vaughn and Ryker evolve from two individuals with their issues regarding love and happy ever afters, to a place that was real, one where they had to make the emotional choices of what to give in to and what to fight. But even when they know how they feel and what they want, this isn’t a fairytale where everything automatically works out for them. They are human and flawed and they make decisions that can adversely affect their relationship. And while their troubles are more than what the “normal” couple would experience, the manner in which they dealt with them felt very realistic.
There are many layers to this story, beginning in Resist and continuing throughout Reveal. With the level of emotion written here I wasn’t expecting more but holy heck did I get it! Several times over! When engaged in a story I often can read it in one sitting, but the angst here was so painful at times, I had to take a step back for a breather.
I loved everything about this book. Vaugh and Ryker as well as Lucy and the swoon worthy moments when Ryker was interacting with her, are all characters and images I’ll hold for a long while. And as if all the previous emotions we’re given throughout the story weren’t enough, we get an epilogue that had tears welling in my eyes and my throat clogged from holding back a happy sob. Nothing makes an angsty read more worthwhile than this type of ending.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Montlake Romance. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Reveal is book two in the Wicked Ways duet and it picks up where Resist leaves off, with Vaughn feeling used and lied to by Ryker after overhearing Ryker and Carter's conversation. Reveal was insanely heavy on the drama and plot twists, which at times, made the book somewhat hard to follow, and at times I felt like it was a bit much and maybe took away from the enjoyment of the book.
I did really enjoy Vaughn and Ryker as characters and enjoyed the uniqueness of the story line. I loved Vaughn's relationship with Lucy and how Ryker stepped right in to visiting with her and how he understood her importance in Vaughn's life. The writing in the book was well done and overall the story was engaging. My one critique is that maybe the author tried to do just a bit too much with the story and there was too much going on at times, but overall it was an enjoyable read.
Vaughn and Ryker are back to wrap up a story line steeped with, what seems to be, unremitting angst and drama. My heart was in my throat the entire way through. I loved the characters, they played great off of one another and the plot arc was carried over successfully from book to book. However, this book seemed to carry an excessive amount of misfortune that made it a bit arduous to get through. While not my favorite, it was still a great wrap up to the series.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
This duet blew me away for sure! I can't deal with how great it was! this author is the queen of writing the wow factor to blow your socks off in a matter of seconds!
I can't even put into words what this story did to me! 5 stars, if I could award this a million I would! Kristy takes you on a wild ride filled with emotions, you will feel each and every one while reading this one! This is book 2 in the series, if you think Resist blew your mind, just wait till you read this one! I could not put it down!
Kristy did an amazing job with this story, I have to say I think this is right up there with her Driven series. Don't miss out on this when it comes out. I can't give away anything, just to say that the story of Vaughn & Ryker will take you on a wild roller coaster ride. Grab this when it comes out!
Yes!! This duet is so freaking good I can't get enough of it. I was bummed to have to wait for this book after the first one but it was so worth the wait. This duet is by far one of my favorites and K never seems to disappoint. Love these characters and their chemistry so much. Amazing.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
OMG, there was so much going on with Vaughn and Ryker in this book, I was on the edge of my seat for the entire, wild ride! Some stuff I guessed, some wasn't too surprising, but a couple of things shocked me! Add in the romance, sexy times, and just love of all kinds and you've got one hell of a duet! Can't recommend these books enough!
Flipping heck! Talk about heart in your mouth, suspense at its best, my stomach was rolling. I was a wreck in places. Book 2 follows on directly from book 1 with the dreadful cliffie - the horrid discussion that we were left with between Vaughn, Ryder and Carter the sleazeball (just saying it as it is). Poor Vaughn is trying her best to save her family, not knowing who to trust or believe. It seems the cards are stacked against her at every turn. Not a lot I can say without spoilers. Just know that it’s a rollercoaster of a ride for all concerned, a story with so many twists and turns, lots of sexy time and some brilliant writing. I’ve got to say, this duet would make a great movie. Romantic suspense with a kicka$$ heroine. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
Ryker and Vaughn consumed me! I couldn't get my hands on this book fast enough! What an emotional, intense journey with this two characters that I adored. I would have read the conclusion of their story straight through if life wouldn't have interfered! LOL Secrets, mystery, drama, lies, steamy chemistry. Ryker couldn't have been more perfect as far as I'm concerned--I loved him and his protectiveness. Vaughn's desire to stand on her own and fight her own battles only made me love her more, while biting my nails for her! If you're looking for a passionate, suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense, look no further. This is why I love this author's writing -- she nails it every single time. 10+ star read and a must-have in my "favorites" library! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Picking up where Resist left off, this book was all go right from the start. Drama, mystery and suspense, the push and pull between Vaughn and Ryker was intense and the chemistry scorching hot. Thoroughly enjoyed the conclusion to their story!
Things are now scorching HOT! This is not only because of the attraction between our main characters, but the complications affecting them are all twisting the plot and heating up the danger.
Finally, it is time for Ryker to stop resisting what is in plain sight. He is in love with V. If he wants to help her, he must get to know her in spite of her resistance. He is willing to do whatever is necessary to protect her.
In the meantime, things could not get more complicated for V. She has a Senator coming after her. Her "illegal" activities are drawing attention from the law, and Social Services is getting wind there are problems that might affect her claim to adopt her niece Lucy. Only one thing is left for V to do. Step up and be smart trying to find a way out of this maze of trouble.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the publisher for sharing a copy with me.
*Received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review* *4.5 Stars* I enjoyed this one almost as much as the first. It was good, but it got a little bit ridiculous towards the end with all the heroine's woes. A bit too much, but it ended well, so I still liked it.
