Best book in the series, you’ve got to get it. If you’ve not read the others, no problem, this one catches you up on everything.

Janet Dailey brings us back to the Tyler family. We find Will Tyler and his daughter Erin sitting on the porch mourning their friend Jasper Platt's recent death. Her uncle Beau and his family as well as Rose were coming in for the funeral. She meets Luke Maddox, a farrier, when he finally arrives at the ranch after her father goes in the house. Erin had a path laid out for her to marry the right man and take over the ranch. Luke disturbs that plan when she finds herself attracted to him.
When Erin finds herself questioning Jasper's death, she brings Luke into her plan to investigate matters. She also has to figure out her boyfriend Kyle is the right man when he proposes to her after a year of dating. Add the financial and family troubles that come along, Erin has a lot on her plate. Will Erin be able to keep it together enough to get through life's tragedies or will it all come toppling down? Will Erin and Luke find their way to each other and stay together or all the odds against them? They will each have to figure out what is important and fight for it to pass Bull Tyler's words down through the generations: Land and Family Forever.
Janet Dailey allows us to visit the Tyler family once again. We meet new additions as well as familiar faces from previous stories. It is always nice to catch up with everyone and see how life has been treating them. I enjoyed seeing the love grow and the steadfast faith displayed by our characters. I look forward to visiting with the Tyler family soon.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All opinions and thoughts are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for this privilege.
OK, so this was so bad I don't think I can post publicly, and I have lost the opportunity to contact the publisher direct at this time.
Janet Dailey's new Texas Forever is a good plot driven romance. It is helpful if you've read the previous books in the series (I've read some), as it will give you familiarity with the family names and backgrounds but if you haven't what you'll take away is that there are generations of family drama that the Tylers have endured.
Erin and Luke fall in love quickly and then have to overcome all manner of challenges along the way. You never doubt that they will prevail but it's fun to see what twists and turns will come and how they will get out of the challenges.
If you like Janet Dailey's books you'll enjoy this and I'm giving it 4 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This review contains a spoiler.
Erin acts like a teenager. Granted she's 19, but I expected her to act more mature. She throws tantrums like a moody teenager.
I figured out the murder of Erin's father before it even happened. I thought, "well thanks lady, now Will is the next to die". The only reason why I finished reading, Texas Forever, is because I've read all the other Tyler books and liked them. This one not so much.
Excellent read. The characters had so much depth and were relatable and easy to love despite their typical human flaws. The story line isn’t fully focused on the romance but has many mysteries and tragic happenings that keep you holding your breath until the end waiting to find the resolution. Extremely engaging and hard to put down.
Erin has just graduated high school and lives with her father on the family’s ranch. She is being groomed to take over and is learning all she can. Luke is a farrier and is hired to shoe the horses on Erin’s ranch. When her father is killed, he’d had an argument with Luke and now he’s a suspect. As they work to clear Luke’s name, someone else is stalking Erin. Can they figure out who killed her father before something else happens?
Good story. Mystery and steamy. Luke is older than Erin and at times it shows. The only thing that bothered me was they had only a couple of conversations and they are in love.
