Whoa. I just finished Date Night by Samantha Hayes! After picking my jaw up off the floor, I immediately did two things 1) Mark it read, with 5 STARS (adding it to my favorites shelf), and 2) one-click purchased Ms. Hayes’ previous novels: The Reunion, The Liar’s Wife, and Tell Me a Secret. She has more, but that’s a good start. Now on to Date Night…
Libby is a content mom to five year old Alice, who is busy with her small catering business. She thinks she is happily married to Sean, until one early morning she finds a note stuck under her windshield, “Sean is having an affair.” Those five words turn her world upside down.
Of course, on confrontation Sean denies the accusation, but it’s a bit too late for Libby’s head, which immediately takes a nose dive into possibilities. In an effort to calm her suspicions, the two head out for a much needed date night. Little did they know, their troubles were just beginning. After the dinner ends in an argument, the pair head home only to find that Sasha, their 17 year old babysitter is missing.
Buckle your seatbelts friends, this book will take you on a quick ride, ending with a shocking, twist. This #datenight is not to be missed.
*Many thanks to the publisher for providing my review copy via #NetGalley.

Libby and her husband go out for a date night and upon them returning discover their daughter is home alone and the babysitter Sasha is gone. The police think that Libby has something to do with Sasha's disappearance. This story has betrayals and secrets you would not believe! What you think is happening changes within pages. Amazing book, a page turner.
What a rollercoaster of a read!! Starting with Libby being arrested for murder then going back to the night Sasha her babysitter disappeared. Libby's whole world starts falling part. She thought she knew her husband Sean, but it seems he has lots of secrets, do they know what happened to Sasha and what are they covering up.
I read this in a day as had to keep reading to find out what happened that night. I had two shocks at the end I really didn't see either of them coming!
A fantastic book! This was so suspenseful and I could not put it down. This had me guessing literally up until the last chapter (which isn't easy to do!) I look forward to reading more by Samantha Hayes. Thank you for the advanced copy.
I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. It drip feeds you clues as to what might be happening and you think you have it all worked out finally and then you are hit with one last twist. I would definitely recommend this book.
Libby and her husband Sean arrive home after a night out in a local restaurant to find that the babysitter has gone and their four year old daughter is alone in the house.
A psychological thriller with so many twists and turns that I didn't know who to believe.
I always enjoy Samantha Hayes books and this was a really good read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve just finished reading Date Night and I’m a bit lost for words. I did not expect that ending! It had me guessing all the way through and really was a page turner. Sean & Libby are going through a rough patch in their marriage and Sean arranges a date night to help them get back on track. When they return home, teenager Sasha who was babysitting their young daughter is missing.
Date Night is a gripping thriller full of emotion. The ending is actually heartbreaking when you find out the truth about the secrets and realise that it could have all worked out very differently if the “accident” didn’t happen. I love the way this book was written, just as you think you’ve got it something new happens and the story takes a different course. One of the best endings I’ve read in a long time. This would make a great film
Wow, I sped through this book. It was a page turner, and the twist at the end was mind blowing. There were no clues what direction the ending would take. I have never read this author before but I will be checking out other books from her. This was a great mystery and you will enjoy reading it.
This is a gripping psychological mystery that grabs from the prologue till the very end.
The main character will eventually live her worst nightmare, when she discovers that her husband had hidden a gift not intended for her, then her babysitter vanishes without a trace. And if this isn't enough she will find out that the police are suspecting that she has something to do with her babysitter's mysterious murder.
Twists and turns, secrets and betrayals made this book a compulsive reading.
Thanks Netgalley, Bookouture, and author Samantha Hayes for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
The prologue will grab you and the story doesn't let go. As it unfolds, little tiny clues in the form of memories come through out of nowhere but start piling up to a fuller picture. Very well done psychological thriller that will keep you reading on and on!
I really liked this book. I loved the characters and the story. I didn't catch on to who was guilty but had suspicions and I love it even better when I'm wrong. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller.
When the babysitter goes missing after a date night with her husband, Libby’s world starts to fall apart. An edge of your seat read! I had to keep turning the page to see what happened next. Just when I though I had it all figured out, a twist I totally wasn’t expecting!
Imagine you receive a threatening note from an unknown sender, that you find a gift your husband has hidden, a gift not meant for you. Imagine you return home from a night out with your husband and discover your little girl left alone, your babysitter nowhere to be seen. As if this isn’t enough of a nightmare, imagine that the police later arrest you for the babysitter’s murder. This story is everyone’s worst nightmare come to life
