Emma has been abandoned by her fair-weather friend in Nice, having to get herself back to Paris without the help she was relying on. She is rescued by the unlikely combination of two A list models, Jaxson and Chase. She finds it difficult to believe that two such attractive men could possibly be interested in a dowdy, overweight and penniless student. The men make it their business to convince her otherwise. Seriously hot and entertaining story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The premise sounded very interesting, however, the book failed to deliver. There are quite a few issues I had problems with:
1. Emma is freaking out because she has to take a train all by herself in France. Why the freak out? Oh, that's because she doesn't speak a lick of French....and that's after she's been in France for a while, studying abroad...Hm....I guess she isn't as bright as she was being portrayed if she didn't pick up a handful of words while she was there...Also, why did she go to France to study in the first place?
2. Emma has wild unprotected sex with Jax and Chase literally minutes after she met them. And that's after she makes a scene in the lobby of the hotel screaming at her friend because she is sleeping with men she barely knows, warning her that she will end up with multiple STDs. However, when Emma gets in bed with two strangers it's all right. Not once did she even self-reflect to say, oh wait...I am a hypocrite and maybe we should get some condoms first.
3. In the beginning Emma is all set to get her Master's degree. But, the moment two cute men show up, she is ready to leave all that behind and "hit the road" with them.
4. Speaking of "hitting the road"...Since when do models go on tour??!?!?! Were Jax and Chase originally written as musicians?? As far as I know, models do not go on tours...
5. Oh, and speaking of Chase...Half of the time I was forgetting that he was even in the picture. He was like a picture on a wall - beautiful to look at, but easily forgettable.
I have given this one 5 stars in goodreads, and on Bookbub with my pseudonym. I also try to promote the entire series whenever and however I can. Livia's books are a pleasure.
Started off very good, but turn rapidly went. downhill. Dialogue was mediocre at best and storyline completely unbelievable.
I really wanted to like this book but had a hard time. The premise was fun but the story line was so unbelievable that it took your attention away from the characters. This sounds more like the outline of a pornographic video than a novel. Disappointing.
A quick-paced dominance novel.
A lot of parts are not for me.
The main characters are interesting, The males love sharing their women in a dominance driven sexual relationship, one being the Dominant and one the Submissive.
I see the appeal but not a book for me.
This is my first book by this author and probably will be the last. While the sex was scorching, the dialogue was extremely juvenile and disrespectful to all women out there. This is the script for a spicy porno at best.
I really wanted to like this book but it was just OK. The premise was interesting but the story was so implausible that I couldn’t take it seriously. Smart, cautious, grad student Emma agreeing to have wild, unprotected sex with two strangers in a foreign country within an hour of actually meeting them is insane, as is the fact that Jaxon and Chase are so taken with her that they blow off work for a month to hide out in an attic in Wisconsin to have sex, eat cereal and play video games. They’re male models but have the kind of fame you’d expect from A list actors and every stranger who sees them comments on how they could do so much better than Emma. But of course, the guys loudly defend her beauty and how lucky they are to have her, and let everyone know how great and raunchy the sex is. The story just feels too much like a high school girl’s fantasy to make me want to recommend it.
I really wanted to like this book, but I didn't.
The beginning is basically a one night stand in which Emma meets and goes off with two guys who rescue her in a train station in a foreign country where she can barely speak the language. It was very typical, damsel in distress, hot guy(s) comes to the rescue.
I almost stopped reading there because I didn't feel much of a connection to the characters. But I pushed through.
We fast forward to the guys finding Emma just as she's about to begin teaching a college class (she's a TA). They BOTH kiss her in front of the entire damn class without a second thought to the fact that this is her job or how it would impact her reputation.
A HUGE issue I had with the book is that everyone recognized Jaxson and Chase. They're models, not actors or sport stars! I just find it hard to believe that college kids know who they are or that they're constantly bothered in public for autographs and pics. It didn't fit.
I hated that Emma basically gives up everything for them with little plan for the future. She's not confident enough in herself to speak up for her needs or wants. And the one time she tries to voice her concerns she's punished for it rather than listened to.
I definitely felt the connection between Jaxson and Chase but I struggled feeling where Emma fit in besides for their sexual needs. It seemed that she fit great in the bedroom but beyond that it seemed that's all she was good for.
Parts of the story seemed to be missing. They would be talking about one thing (for example lunch with Emma's parents and grandmother) but then it's never mentioned again. I think if there was more focus on the development of the actual relationship as opposed to just what's going on in the bedroom, I might feel more of a connection with Emma in the trio.
Also the ending lacked. There was no real closure to any of the issues identified throughout the book.

This book is hot. I mean like steamy, fan yourself hot.
Even though this book is in the Erotic genre it had wonderful character development and a wonderful tory. It also had a brilliant message about self-love along with great sex scene.
I loved that even though Emma was in a relationship that was dominating it wasn't demeaning and she keeps her strong, educate personality.
I also loved to boys they where loving as well a smart, sexy and intelligent.
overall a really good read.
Poor writing. I will say I didn’t realize what the novel was about at first but the general writing was terrible.
Infamous Love by a new to me author Livia Grant. A very spicy read with a good storyline. Looking forward to reading more by author.
This book is terrible. It reads like YA with graphic sex details. Dialogue is awfully written - it almost feels like something that has been written and run through google translate a few times.
Meh. The premise and the plot was promising. The organization was all messy. The pace wasn't equal. The writing and the grammar was horrible. The scenes were the only thing good about this book , but they were cliche too.
Thanks NetGalley for giving me an opportunity to review this book.
I didn't like anything about this book. It was so unrealistic that it ruined any good points it could have. It was so over the top and just.... bad.
Sorry.
Good book. Very steamy. A bit disorganized
I enjoyed this book, it had a solid premise. The heroine, Emma Fischer, is stranded in France by her traveling companion and has to make her way back to Paris without knowing how to speak the language. She gets attacked at the train station and is helped out by two male models, Jaxson and Chase, who had seen her telling of her friend at the hotel the previous day and were impressed by her. They have a hot vacation menage fling with some D/s thrown into the mix.
After returning to Madison Wisconsin to college for her masters degree, she misses them and they apparently miss her so they take a vacation from modeling jobs and stay with her for a while. The BDSM is sizzling and romance is nice, not insta-Love. The odd and somewhat schizophrenic part is the sub-plots about Emma’s parents and Jaxson’s parents, they both seem sort of rushed and under developed. Also it is odd that there is little to no mention about Chase’s family when there are separate plots involving the other two.
I won’t give away any spoilers, but the book seems to end at an odd point to me. It isn’t a cliffhanger. It is actually an ending, but it just seems a bit unfinished to me. Almost like in Sleepless in Seattle where the movie is leading up to the point where they meet and then they just barely meet and it is over. You don’t eve get to see what happens or if they like each other or live happily ever after. (I’m still talking about Sleepless in Seattle) cuz that ending bothers me. 😝.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I don’t mind the concept, but the quality of the writing us horrible. I can not recommend this one. The word choice, grammar, flow... All amateurish at best and at times not only that, but uneducated. It felt piecemeal as far as the story arc, the dialogue was stilted... just not good.
Infamous Love by Livia Grant is a thoroughly enjoyable novel about a grad student who is on her own in France. She meets up with two gorgeous models who offer her a ride in their private train car to Paris and they enjoy a very erotic ride, at the end of which they should part. Jaxson and Chase convince Emma to stay the night with them, but they never exchange information when they finally part the next day. Will they ever see each other again? An unconventional love story that will be sure to titillate!
I really was hoping for a fun read, but it was not to be. I DNF this book because it would be a waste of my time to proceed.
The all trope of "women are bitches and cunts" (the author's choice of words, by the way) really felt off and the writing is really bad.
Seriously who, in an emergency, says: "She appears unresponsive" or "I´ll go in search of a doctor"?
I truly can´t recommend this book.

I had read this story before in the Black Light series so was intrigued to read more. This one unfortunately fell a little short for me - don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the story but not as much as previous work. Some parts felt a little forced to me and the dialogue wasn't my favourite. I will say I did enjoy the connection between the three characters and the underlying message of being true to yourself etc.. Plenty of chemistry and I would check out more books from her to see if they're a better fit for me.
