Bonne lecture !

This was awesome. I love how her cat ultimately is the one that helped them find each other. He is most definitely an alpha male and he falls hard for her. This was a fun witty read and also sexy at the same time, I recommend this one for sure. Thanks NetGalley.

This could have been a very sexy romance novel if it weren't for the fact that Tyler is an annoying alpha male. He meets Leah as she sneaks into his house trying to rescue her cat. He calls her all kinds of endearments like babe and gorgeous even though he barely knows her. Then she goes out with a guy she knows and he gets all possessive, demanding she not kiss him. Mind you he just met her a week ago. He leads her around and she tries to keep up. Not my favorite type of romance. I like my heroines fiery.

This is what happens when you have high expectations... you either soar with flying colours or fall flat.
Catching Him fell flat.
The amount of times I had to come back to finishing this book was a chore.
The story was the most mundane boring story...like yawn. Everything was so...hmm... predictable?

Tyler and Leah were something else. I highly enjoyed this book. My goodness I forgot how good ARR writes alphas. I have to admit that Leah was a strong willed woman who was a little alpha too. She had a moment or two . I really liked that Tyler was just the right amount alpha without being too much. It was a bit too insta love but that’s to be expected with ARR. Very early on it was obvious who was the harasser of Tyler and Leah. In all it was a fantastic read! The showstoppers were definitely Bruce and Mouse.

GAAAH! I loved this book by Reynolds! I love her writing style on top of the characters she creates. She keeps you totally involved and Catching Him does just that as well! I loved every word of this book! I need more!

Wow. Just wow. I am absolutely in love with Tyler, and Leah is just as awesome! These two clicked from the beginning, and while the resolve to the mystery wasn't a surprise and there was not any real conflict in the book, I loved it so much I couldn't put it down! Superb!

I confess, I really like Aurora Rose's alpha men. So, after reading the Unntil series and the Fluke of my life series, I was very happy to see her new series: How to catch an Alpha.
Hopefully nobody saw my happy dance, when I was granted the arc of Catching Him.
And hoorrah ... another great story from Aurora Rose Reynolds.
Meet Leah, feisty woman, but with a bad taste in men. After her latest disaster (a date with her high school ex setup by her mother) she really doesn't need a man.
Definitely not another cocky, alpha protective, way too hot neighbor, who points his gun on her when she climbs through his window to get her cat.
Tyler can't keep his eyes of his gorgeous and feisty neighbor, who is funny and cute. Determined to have her change her mind about men,or more specifically about him, he decides to win her over.
But Leah isn't sure whether she wants Tyler to go all caveman on her. Or maybe she does...
But when strange things start to happen, it becomes clear, that Leah may need a caveman to keep her safe.
And that is exactly what Tyler plans on doing.
Find out for yourself whether feisty woman and alpha caveman can work things out. Five out of five stars from me and I'll be looking out for the next books in the series. Thank you Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is not my first book by ARR, I’ve readsome books from the Until series and loved them.

Sadly this book fell a bit short. The blurb promises a “mystery”, but that didn’t really show up until the end and it was clear who wanted Leah early on in the book.
The insta love between Leah and Tyler and the constant love confessions were just too much.

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

Catching Him is the first book in Aurora Rose Reynold’s How to Catch an Alpha series. Leah’s last relationship has taught her not to chase a man but to let him do the catching. In the meantime she’ll make do with the company of her cat, Mouse. It was down to Mouse & his Houdini like escapades that her introduction to her new neighbour, Tyler, was when she fell through a window in his house in search of her errant cat. And so it began. Tyler is the usual alpha hero we’ve come to expect from ARR, a man you just know loves and respects his family, holds open doors & would never dream of letting a woman pay. Add in his cute dog and what’s not to love! Both Tyler and Bruce know who they want and waste no time in pursuing Leah under the illusion of being ‘just friends’ to start with but it isn’t long before sparks begin to fly.

This book is a sweet, heartfelt romance with just enough hot scenes to stop it being too sugary. Perfect if you’re looking for something to kill a couple of hours but isn’t going to leave you thinking about it afterwards. I can’t help but feel disappointed though by the subplot regarding the supposed threat against Leah. If anything I felt that the blurb for this book is misleading to the reader, mainly this line – “Unfortunately someone else wants Leah – in the worst way. Now Tyler’s on a mission……”. Instead of being an integral part of the plot it almost seemed like an afterthought thrown in to help fill out the last couple of chapters and it wasn’t gone into in any great depth, more a blink and you miss it moment. This was a pity because I feel that if this part of the storyline had been built on I definitely would’ve rated it higher as I loved how the characters were written and the development of their relationship. I feel like I’d like to know them but the disappointment I feel in the overall story means I can only give Catching Him 3 stars

Relationship Goals!

Catching Him is a brand spanking new series by author ARR and I can't get enough! It starts out with a hilarious meet cute involving Leah chasing a runaway cat through her neighbor's window not realizing the the house has been sold and a new owner now occupies the previous vacant home. Ladies...meet Tyler! He is a hot alpha male that brings all the BOOM. Not only is he the perfect southern gentleman, he never hesitates to show Leah how he feels. Which brings me to another thing I love about this book; they communicate! No unnecessary drama here.

Overall, I love the characters. I loved the tidbits of hilarity thrown in and most of all, I LOVED the Boom!

I've picked this book up multiple times to finish it, but unfortunately this book wasn't for me. I usually love ARR, but with this I was just bored. Nothing was really happening, it was just a rambling on and on... kind of like my review. I don't really know what to say, but fear not, because I am in the minority. I say everyone give it a chance Tyler might just be your type.

QueenZany 4.5 Star Review
Catching Him
by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Catching Him is just what I needed!
Fun, sexy, alpha hotness and oh the sweetest couples ever! It simply has it all!
Aurora Rose Reynolds just had me all over my self, falling hard over Leah and Tyler's story! When you think of the true boom look no future because Aurora is my unicorn author.

3.5 stars. The author is a great writer and I normally really enjoy her books. This one fell flat for me, unfortunately. The mystery was not that much of a mystery and I didn’t really feel the connection between the main characters like I normally do. This wasn’t a terrible book but it wasn’t awesome either.

This is a quick read that’s ideal for the beach or hammock. It starts with a great meet cute, driven by an ornery cat and later a lovable dog.

The hero is a great guy, though he seemed pushy in the beginning. The heroine is smart, beautiful and confident. She’s done with chasing men and trying to make relationships work. I loved that! Yet it also puzzled me, because these character traits seem inconsistent with her willingness to be maneuvered by the hero early on. It felt disingenuous to her character. This, couple with a weak mystery subplot made this a 4, instead of 5 for me. The villain is supposed to be a mystery, but from the beginning of the trouble it was very obvious whom was responsible for the mischief. No mystery was added and I actually found myself rolling my eyes when the characters acted as if they had no clue whom it could be.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story had a really fun start. It became a bit more serious but overall the characters are really fun to get to know and the story moved along at a great pace.

This is another enchanting story by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I always enjoy reading her stories about hot alpha males falling in love. Once they meet the woman meant for them, they won’t let anything get in their way of making them theirs. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it has a mix of sexiness, sweetness and laughter.

Tyler is a charming and protective guy and when he moves in next to Leah he is immediately attracted to her. Leah is insecure and tries to fight her feelings for Tyler but realizes she is only fighting herself. Tyler and Leah have a lot of chemistry and they are both likable. They are both in their thirties and not looking for love, but love finds them. I enjoyed all the interactions between Tyler and Leah. Whenever they are together, sparks are flying. First, they have to get through some outside forces trying to keep them apart. This smoothly written, heartfelt story left me with a good feeling. This has an engaging story line and is also fun and entertaining.

M/F Romance

Leah is a snarky, hilarious, caring woman who just wants to find someone to share her life with. Unfortunately, her mom and grandma work with her and are constantly trying to set her up with men they believe would be a good fit for her. Even so, she can't help but love them. After her last disastrous date with someone she had dated when they were in high school, Leah thinks she's hit her limit for a while.

Tyler has just moved to the city and is starting a new job. It's a huge surprise when he finds someone sneaking in through his window… a very attractive and almost naked someone. Their first meeting was hilarious.

Tyler and Leah strike a deal, mainly due to their animals' whims. Their friendship is something that I really enjoyed watching blossom. When strange things start happening around Tyler and Leah, they have to figure out what's going on and if someone is after them.

This was such a sweet story and I really loved watching the relationship develop and unfold. I can't wait to see what happens next because all of the characters were fun to watch.

This is a fun read with two believable people leading fairly normal lives, and finding chemistry that is definitely worth pursuing. The first time they meet is one of the funniest scenes, but there are plenty of others that made me chuckle.

Tyler, having moved away from family for his job, finds he has a very appealing neighbour, Leah. However, she is definitely somewhat against relationships and so he takes a careful path to her heart. It is helped by his lovable dog and her cat's acceptance of him. He is very good at being exactly what she needs without pushing and so she catches him almost by default!

A perfect happy, fun, and romantic read, with some very cute and heartwarming scenes. What's not to like?
