3 1/2 Star Review.....
Catching Him is the first book in Aurora Rose Reynolds' How to Catch an Alpha series and is packed with sugary sweetness and many laugh out loud moments. There’s a little bit of mystery, but minimal drama and angst to deter from the fun side of this story. Leah and Tyler are an engaging couple and their romance is depicted nicely. A light, easy to read story that leaves you smiling and feeling good.
ARR is a one click author for me. I was only to happy to go on this new venture of hers. This looks to be the first in a series. I am hoping we get to stay in this small town atmosphere the author has created. Love all the quirkiness that comes with knowing everyone around you, nosy neighbors and well meaning family.
Leah and Tyler have an adorable meet cute and the sweetness in the story just goes on from there. Their pets bring some great moments. Tyler is the ultimate southern gentlemen until he has decided that Leah has slowed the pace enough. Once he declares his intentions with her, things get steamy pretty fast.
There is very little angst in this one. Just a light fluff read that will make you smile. The blurb eludes to some danger but it was not some great suspense moment. I had it figured out from the start.
Perfect summer read. Looking forward to reading about Leah's best friend maybe???
I liked how this was low key drama and really sweet. Tyler is the super hot man next door and they meet over shenanigans with Leah’s cat. It was nice just to read a story that wasn’t over the top or super angsty, everything just sorta clicked with Tyler and Leah.
Catching Him is the first title in the How to Catch an Alpha series. Leah and Tyler’s are an honest and likeable pair, their story is a sweet, swoony, heartfelt romance.
Leah Emerson is sweet, kind, sincere and cheerful and has very strong ties with her family. Tyler Duncan is a protective, possessive and hard working alpha.
I adored everything about this fast paced, steamy romance from their meet cute, to the touch of intrigue, and the fact that their romance is low in angst and drama.
The secondary characters were incredibly likeable, and I hope that we get to see some more of them in future addition to the How to Catch an Alpha series.
I didn’t read the blurb since I love all of Aurora’s books so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I loved it. I was hooked from beginning to end. There were some funny moments, lots of swoon-worthy moments between Tyler and Leah. It is also low angst with very little drama and suspense. I am hoping some of the secondary characters end up getting a book too. If you’re looking at an easy feel-good read, then this is for you!

4 1/2 Stars! A quick swoon worthy read!
Leah is happy with her life ... she’s not looking for that special someone. But when Tyler moves in next door, her whole outlook on life changes. Tyler moved because he wasn’t happy at his job and was offered something more. But he couldn’t believe his luck when a beautiful woman falls through his window.
I just loved this cute, down-to-earth romance! I loved the fact that Leah was a hairdresser and Tyler was a construction worker ... ordinary people! Even the banter between the characters was so realistic. It was so funny when Leah went through the window of the house next door. It checked all the boxes ... funny, romantic and steamy! A great start to a new series!
I received an early copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
Catching Him was a great read. I loved it. I loved loved Tyler and Leah. Tyler was swoony, possessive and sexy. Leah was really sweet. Tyler and Leah had amazing chemistry and were just perfect together!
Catching Him is the start of something. It's the first book in the How to Catch an Alpha series and I look forward to what I hope is a ton more. This feel good story has an unforgettable meet cute, two more than cute pets, and an Alpha you will be tripping on yourself to snag!
Sexy, sweet, and perfect are the words to describe Tyler. These two are adorable together and made my day! If you need an extra dose of sweet and sexy, look no further!
Full of laughter, fun ans snark! Truly enjoy thse romantic comedies!
This is what happens when you stop trying to find "the one" and you insist there isn't a relationship lol
This is a great read. Great character development and storytelling. I loved how Leah and Tyler got together and how their relationship developed.I am looking forward to more by this author.

‘Catching him’ is the first book of a new series. I’m very happy that I got the chance to read this book because this story reminded me again why I love reading romance stories so much. It had the perfect blend of everything that I love in my romance books. A bit of fun, a bit of suspense, a bit of sweet and a lot of love. It was just perfect.
I loved the main characters, Leah and Tyler very much. From the funny way that they met until the epilogue. Leah’s character had this great mix of being sassy, funny, adorable, intelligent, thoughtful and caring. And Tyler was this alpha guy who was determined, honest, considerate and very protective. It was lovely to see how Leah and Tyler cared for each other and to feel their love for their family too. (Their family were the spice in this blend. They brought humour and that little extra to the story.) I also enjoyed the chemistry between the couple and their interaction.
‘Catching him’ is this sweet, funny, small town love story. It’s told mostly from Leah’s POV but it also had a few POV’s from Tyler. There was a little suspense in it, but it was very small. Another thing that I loved about this story were the epilogues in the end. I LOVED them!
I enjoyed this book very much and I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.
Fantastic read. Enjoyed it alot. Absolutely love the story and damn Tyler is so sexy and alpha male. Love it!
She has done it again!! Another great hands down alpha romance. Leah is a hair stylist and single. Tyler just moved from Tennessee and is Leahs next door neighbor. From the first moment they meet to the end, they bring comedy, love, and adventure. The perfect couple. With the friends and family between the two as secondary characters, can't wait for the next book. A one click bye for me and everyone book after!
There is just something magical when you read a book, and it touches on all your happy thoughts, and needs, and feelings. This book is that book, and while there is a little bit of drama, for the most part, this is boy and girl, well, a man and a woman, getting to know each other, and falling in love. The pieces all fit, everything aligns, and while it is not all smooth sailing, it is darn near close to it
Leah and Tyler have tried relationships, but nothing ever worked out for them. Then they meet, and the attraction is instantaneous. Experience has taught them not to get their hopes up, but they soon realize there is no stopping this, it is real, and it is exactly what they have been needing. One annoyance, that becomes more as time goes on, and a possible big hurdle, are met head on by them both, together, because their hearts know, this was meant to be!
I loved this book! It had me laughing right from the beginning as Leah crawled through the window. Tyler was everything I expected from one of Aurora's alpha's. He was actually a little more subdued and sneaky in his alpha ways but no less intense. Together they were everything I love and expected. Great intro to a new series and I can't wait to read more!
Wowie!
Aurora did an AWESOME job with this one.
Awesome!
I absolutely love Tyler! And Tyler and Leah. Oh, and Bruce. Bruce was a sweetie! I need a Bruce in my life. You do too - you just don't know it yet.
So these two meet when Tyler is new to town and Leah is literally breaking into his house. She literally climbs into his bedroom window because her cat ran into his open window. And she is only in a t-shirt and panties. Oops! In her defense, she thought the house was vacant.
And as the saying goes, the rest is history.
I HIGHLY recommend this one! I loved everything about it from the beginning to the end.
(I also recommend all ARR stories. She's a great story teller.)
I honestly have little to say about this book because nothing much really happened. 🙈 They meet. 👫 They date. 🍴 They have sex. 🔥 They fall in love. 💑 They meet the parents. ☑ His Mom is a bitch for five minutes. 😠 The end. 🔚 Throw in an underdeveloped mystery plot with a baddie you could see from a mile away, and two cute pets, and you basically have the entire plot. 👀 I mean, it was OK. 👍 It was sweet, but my tastes have changed as of late and I need a little more "meat" in my stories. 🍗 This one was pretty much all fluff... 🍬
I'm a sucker for books with easy love, a funny storyline and sweet characters. Catching him had this in spades.
I'm a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and the stories she writes. While Catching Him was sealed up nicely for Leah and Tyler, I smiled and laughed throughout their story. Their meet cute was enough to keep me reading.
Leah has a sweet disposition but I also found her to be a very naive. The strong bonds she has with family and friends also made her extremely likeable. That being said she isn't afraid to use her voice when needed. Her grumpy cat is challenge but if it wasn't for this wayward feline, Tyler and Leah wouldn't be a couple.
Tyler is 100% Alpha male. He wasn't looking for anything but a change in where he lives until Leah falls into his life. He immediately takes on his role of protector and friend in one chapter. He was a little bossy at times but not overbearing. I'm a sucker for a take charge guy.
The storyline was rather simple and not a lot of drama. This is fine for me as I wasn't looking for anything more than that. There were a few obstacles that the couple faced but they were relatively small and were able to be handled quite easily
Enjoyable story. Cute. I had kind of guessed who was behind all Leah's troubles. The story felt a little easy. The couple never really fought and the one little fight was anti-climatic.
I've read other Aurora Rose Reynolds titles in the past and I've enjoyed them. I will continue to read her other titles as well. Unfortunately for me, this title fell flat for me. I loved the first half of the book which is where my three stars come in. However, the last half of the book completely bombed for me. The use of "baby" is one of my pet peeves and I don't think Tyler said anything to her that didn't have the word "baby" in it. And the whole alpha male thing? I wasn't feeling it. The whole "danger" part of the book I found forced. It didn't make sense to me - I feel like that aspect should have been explored more so it didn't feel so forced and confused as to what happened - I don't want to give it away so you'll have to read to find out for yourself.
Don't get me wrong - the concept of the book is super cute. Next door neighbors. The witty banter back and forth. The sexual tension. The slow burn in the beginning. However, once that slow burn was flamed out, I felt like the book took a nose dive into cliche central. The one was just a miss for me. However, just because it was a miss for me means it will be a miss for you, so go ahead and check this out if you like romantic comedy like books.
