Flashed is the first book I've read by Zoey Castile and so I felt at a little bit of a disadvantage. As Pat was obviously an established character, with a history that I just wasn't aware of or didn't get, and so I found this story hard to get into. Plus, it was for me at times quite slow paced until near the end. Which is when it went in the opposite direction and became a little too rushed.

Yet, saying that I did enjoy the actual story. Which had a very Beauty and the Beast vibe to it and was extremely angsty. But that was no bad thing because it was nicely broken up. What with the exchanges between Pat and Lena and the sexual tension they shared. Not to mention the laughs provided by the secondary characters. Who were all likable in the own way and I would definitely like to read more about them. I would also happily recommend Flashed to others.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has done it again, Catching Him is the first book in her new How To Catch an Alpha series.

Leah Emerson is young, beautiful and successful hair stylist with her own house and a cat called Mouse who likes to get into trouble.  Tyler Duncan has  recently moved from Tennessee for his new job at a construction company. From the moment Leah falls in through his window after her cat he is hooked and wants to get to know her more.

I loved these two and really liked that they actually talked to each other instead of assuming what the other is thinking, which can happen a lot in books. This was a refreshing, sweet, funny with a little suspense thrown in, read for me and I really enjoyed it. Great crew of characters along for the ride that made this book great.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is an auto one click insta read author. She writes the best romance. Every single one of her books has everything I need to make the book unputdownable. You have a feisty, intelligent heroine; an over the top, growling, protective alpha; no relationship angst or drama; and enough going on to keep the book interesting. I just love her writing so much.

So this book was everything I could have expected. Leah was an awesome leading lady. She was sweet and smart. She knew what she wanted and wasn’t prepared to settle for less than she deserved and from the first page I wanted to adopt her as my BFF. Leah and her crazy cat made me laugh. Mainly because I have a very similar arsehole cat that we all love to hate. And I loved her family and friends. Personally she could have been a little less forgiving of certain people but that’s my character flaw.

Tyler was everything you could want in an alpha hero. From his first interaction with Leah he was perfect. And when the jealous, possessive growling made an appearance I was pretty much ready to hand over my ovaries. I seriously love a man who puts his woman first and he went above and beyond to make sure everyone knew Leah was the center of his world and it just made me a swoony, melted mess.

And of course I loved Bruce. Throw in a well loved dog who is as protective and possessive of his loved ones as the hero and the book gets an automatic extra star. I can’t wait to see where this series is going to go.

This is just the right type of Sweet, with a dash of Alpha making this a read which is a delight. We got the couple who had interest but the woman fought it. She had had horrible past boyfriends, causing her on a man diet of sorts... no more chasing a man, only allowing a man to come to her.

Her neighbor has decided he is happy to oblige.

This one was a really fun read. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this author's style of writing. Leah and Tyler get off to a bumpy/funny start and I loved that the characters developed a friendship first. The supporting cast is fun and overall it felt like a nice change of pace from all the insta love and dark romance I've read lately.

There's just enough laughs and heat to keep me happy and throw in the feels and you've got a happy reader. It's a sweet read you can easily enjoy on a lazy Sunday.

Fast and sweet romance! Tyler and Leah had a world wind romance. It was love at first sight for Tyler.

This story was filled with a strong hint of sugary sweet, with a bit of The Until series feels.
I’m according a lot of importance about a first meet cute and when these two met, the alpha vibes were already showing. As her new neighbor, Tyler was terribly charming and endearing. Leah was such a babe, sweet, caring and definitely not a damsel in distress. I adored how they first met, thanks to her cat who was right by rushing next door.
And then, sparks fly and it made so freaking smile. I appreciated how they first became friends, to get to know the other.
Who wouldn’t fall for a guy like him? A man who has shown her the way to her heart, proving day by day that they were real, even if she had any clue firsthand. Just so damn good.
A light hearted and so charming read, with a bit of low angst at the beginning. A heroine you couldn’t help not to love, a hero that wasn’t afraid to go for what he wanted, willing to chase her after she’s been burnt before and not settling for less. I do love a little wooing and romantic feels… Le freaking sigh.
This book got it for me with some mystery thrown in. A great first installment, introducing a new series and I can’t wait to read more about them!
One alpha down, more to go for sure!

Catching Him is a rom com, and I have to say. I love rom-coms. Aurora is one of my one click authors and I was so excited when she announced this book. Catching Him was sexy, funny, and Tyler was an alpha to his core. I loved this book so much, and know I will be reading it again. I cant wait for book 2, so Aurora please hurry! Lol!!

Aurora rose Reynolds has a talent! She never fails to write an amazing all consuming story. Catching him was such an enjoyable book, I felt like I was in the book. Leah and Tyler have this friends to lover vibe going on and it was such a change to see the hero not rush anything and get to know the heroine first and develop this deep bond right away. Leah has this loving honest and humble personality about herself while Tyler’s personality from when he meets Leah is easy going but alpha-attentive and they match so well together! There’s a few twists in the story that try to deter Tyler and Leah from each other but nothing can stop them. I loved every word in this book and can’t wait for the other books in this series, hopefully some side characters get their stories!

Leah and Tyler meet by accident when her cat decides his house is a good spot to run away to. Leah proceeds to go after her cat and their first meeting wasn't exactly smooth going. Leah then proceeds to ignore Tyler and decides to pretend she doesn't find him hot. Tyler decides to push Leah into a friendship to see if they are compatible. Leah is clueless and doesn't see his ulterior motives at all. Each of them have families who do not know the meaning of boundaries. Add in some suspiciously bad things happening in their lives and you get a great story. I liked the interactions between Leah and Tyler. I liked how each of them was close with their families. I really liked how each of them didn't play games with each other. I enjoyed this book a lot and am hopeful the rest of this series is just as good.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

As usual, I enjoyed this one. ARR is one of my go to romance authors. I always know that I’ll get an alpha romance and low angst. Two of my favorite things in a romance novel.

I did enjoy Leah and Tyler’s romance. It was sweet and really made me smile. I love that Tyler made sure that Leah got to know him before he made his move. Leah wanted someone that showed her that they were interested and wasn’t playing games. Well, that’s exactly what she got from Tyler. The lack of games and back and forth was really great.

Even though I did love them, I did feel like something was missing. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s something. Maybe I was comparing it to the Until Her/Him series. I don’t know. Also, the conflict here was easily predictable. You can’t win them all though.

Even though I didn’t love it like her other books, I still enjoyed it! If you are a fan of low angst and ARR’s writing then I recommend it! I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

The beginning of this story is the best! It catches your attention and instantly helps you like all characters, even the pets. Loved how Leah and Tyler met. Loved how Tyler's dog automatically creates a bond with Leah which is what helps bring them together. Not that Tyler needs any help. He is not giving her a say in the matter or even an opportunity to say no. He demands what he wants and he works to show that he deserves it. Now on the other side, it's not hard for Leah to fall for him. He is quite a catch. Caring, protective, loving, respectful, pays attention, responsible, independent and he is not self centered. With how humble, sweet and understanding she is, she is the ideal match for him. They have the perfect dynamic. A great support system and their trust never falters. Match made to happen with great entertainment for the reader. That's a great plus!

Catching Him is full of Aurora Rose Reynolds' usual sweetness and was a fun book to read. It was easy in that it didn't have a ton of drama or angst that overshadowed the romance between Leah and Tyler, and I really enjoyed that. There was some mystery thrown in with an unknown person coming after our main characters, but honestly I could have done without that. It didn't add anything to the story and I would have preferred the focus to have stayed on the romance. It wasn't a lot though and the story was still pretty light and the characters were likable throughout the entire book.

Overall, this was a fun and easy read with a ton of swoon worthy sweetness. I would certainly recommend reading it.

What another great book from Aurora Rose Reynolds! I’ve read previous books from this author and really enjoyed them. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was just as good as those. I enjoyed the story and the characters were very well written.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is a new to me author and I couldn't be more excited for discovering her work through Catching Him! This book is pure GOODNESS and had me smiling the whole way though. I love a romance that is low on drama and high on swoon and that's exactly what I got in this read! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

if there’s one thing I love it’s a HEA! Aurora rose Reynolds doesn’t disappoint yet again!
This book was a great read. Tyler knew what he wanted and that was Leah. He just had to wait for her to catch on! Their blooming relationship was great to see throughout the story. There was a small bit of tension with some family which for most people it’s easy to relate to.
There was some suspense in the story that left you on the edge of your seat!

I think one of my favorite things about aurora ‘s books is that the main characters are totally relatable, characters that could be you or I . It’s one of the reasons her books are so easy to read in one sitting
Thank you

The story of Leah and Tyler.
From the description of the book I expected it to be told from both of their poitns of view - it is but only a couple of chapters are from Tylers perspective.

A great read, and the chemistry between the two main characters is well written.

Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I've seen a lot of 5 star reviews for this book, and I really wanted to like it, yet I can't give it that. It felt like the main characters got together too fast, and everything was way too perfect. We didn't really get to know them very well (besides physically) and the complication at the end was minor.
The main character who could do no wrong was Bruce, he was definitely a favourite.
2.5 stars
