Nice, Christmas fluff. As I get older I am less enamored with her but she is still a funny character. Definitely still a shopaholic.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? No? Have you even started?
Meet Becky. She’s a gal that flat-out lives for shopping! All day...every day! And when Christmas rolls around? Well, you can just imagine! She’s in seventh heaven and her shopping mania jumps right off the charts!

This year, Becky has something new to contribute other than wonderful presents. She’s been handed the awesome family task of making Christmas dinner with all the fixings and events for the day. She’s head-over-heels to take on this mighty challenge, but quickly discovers she’s in way over her head! First issue, she can’t stay focused, worrying she might miss a great deal if she isn’t watching for it.
But all her friends and family have requests and suggestions on what they would like at the dinner. And good ole’ Becky is determined to do it all, as to not upset anyone.

This is book 9 of the shopaholic series, (love that name) but it’s a first for me. I admit I did have a bit of trouble warming up to Becky. I thought she was over the top and grew annoyed with her at times. “Come on Becky! Focus!” Once I realized she wasn’t going to listen to me, I sat back, went for the ride and enjoyed her quirkiness.

Turns out Becky is a delightful, kind, loving and a hilarious character! I grew to love her and was rooting for the best Christmas ever!

A super fun laugh out loud read! I’m a new fan to the series and will be watching for the
next release!

A buddy read with Susanne!🎄

I didn’t enjoy this ‘shopaholic’ story as much as I have the others in this series. Becky just seemed too self centered. The family characters are all still fun to read about.

I will admit, this is my first read of the Shopaholic series. This book was hilarious. I tried not to wake my sleeping husband from laughing so hard. I have a big family a the holidays are totally crazy but part of what I love.
This is a good book to bring some laughter into you pre holiday festivities.

Christmas Shopaholic brought me back to the classic times with Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood). In the ninth installment of the Shopaholic series we find Becky back in England preparing to host her family’s Christmas gathering. Things begin to get out of hand when each of the 8 adults and 4 children begin to make special requests for the holiday. This book reminds you that behind some seemingly superficial shenanigans is a well-meaning, thoughtful character that has developed over the course of the series.
This book is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday reading season.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Becky Brandon née Bloomwood is back! The shopaholic series are books that I can always count on for a good laugh and light read. Christmas Shopaholic was much like the earlier books in the series and was easily one of my favorites. Expect to laugh out loud several times in this book. I was laughing by the first chapter. I just love Becky and her justifications for buying things, her love of sales, and her big heart. It was a great book and I urge everyone to read it, especially if you’re looking for a light, cozy Christmas book.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC!

I'm a Thanksgiving baby and while most of time I'm shat on because of the holidays (join in the fight with me Christmas and Valentine's Day babies!), Sophie Kinsella has given me the absolute BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT by bringing back the Becky Brandon (nee Bloomberg) I know and love!

THANK YOU for a great book - not only were the misadventures completely Becky-esque, but the whole meaning of Christmas is what the Grinch can't steal were fabulous - and I have found my calming mantra for the Holidays of 2019.

And the ending - I cannot wait!!!!!!!

Another great read by Kinsella. As always I start off feeling very stressed with Kinsella financial chaos. It is just so stressful to read but still so good.

Get ready! Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is back and shopping more than ever!

Yes it totally IS possible to shop more; while convincing yourself that you are shopping less (smart!), yet still able to help the economy (super smart!) and the environment (bonus!) and local businesses (fantastic!) and ... I mean really, if Becky doesn't spend 150£ and get the free shipping then she's not saving any money or getting a great deal...and really one can always use an extra totebag or10 right? (Handmade, locally sourced from a co-op...think of the orphans!)

And so begins another delicious installment in the shopaholic saga ... and Becky, our shopping heroine, truly at her shopping best, is tasked with the ultimate family celebration... Hosting Christmas!

Sophie kinsella does not disappoint her shopaholic fans! This is the too hilarious Christmas story of over-the-top-mega Christmas shopping with this-cant-be-happening out of control Becky escapades!

Becky hosting Christmas!...
Presents, chestnuts, trimming the tree, family singing Carol's and a llama... what could possibly go wrong?

There’s no one like Becky Brandon, née Bloomwood. I’ve said that the Shopaholic series and Sophie Kinsella got me back into reading years ago. I’ve missed a few books in the series but this felt like I hadn’t missed anything at all. I was taken right back to Becky’s hilarious mind and crazy antics. If you want a funny Holiday read, pick this one up! It came out October 15th. LOVE the ending.

Oh how I have missed Becky Brandon, née Bloomwood. This was such a fun return to the Shopaholic series. I laughed out loud throughout the entire book. I think it provides enough information where it can be read as a stand alone but definitely ties in well with the rest of the series. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun holiday read.

Oh Becky Brandon nee Bloomwood is up her typical antics once again. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from beginning to end. It’s always great to revisit ‘old friends’ and see what they’re up to.

Throughout the novel one major question looped through my head: are there actually people in the real world like Becky?

I’m sure there are, but I can’t imagine it. Becky truly has a good heart and wants to help those around her. I hope this isn’t the last we see from this series!

Becky is back! While I haven't loved the last few Shopaholic books - because they aren't as fabulous as the original - I was excited to have Becky's story continue. There were some really funny parts in this book, as usual. Overall it was a quick read and enjoyable.

Christmas Shopaholic, the latest adventure in Becky Brandon's ( nee' Bloomwood) life, is a charming and comical seasonal novel that Sophie Kinsella's fans will continue to adore. Becky, after a rather interesting and odd stint in Los Angeles, has returned to England with Luke, Minnie, Suze and company. Only her parents have decided to move to a trendy neighborhood in London and pass along Christmas hosting duties to our favorite scattered shopaholic. Jess and Tom are being secretive and the reappearance of Becky's college ex-boyfriend throws Letherby village for a loop. Will Becky manage to host Christmas or will disaster ensue? In trademark Kinsella fashion readers will enjoy finding the answer to what Christmas is all about Becky Brandon (nee' Bloomwood) style.

Having read all the Shopaholic series this is one of my favorites of the newer books in the series. The LA stories were not my favorite but I always enjoy a Becky tale. Our shopaholic is still as zany as ever and perhaps a bit unrealistic in her expectations and decisions but it always comes from her heart of gold. This is one not to miss!

I have soooooo missed Becky!!!!!!! Let me just start off by saying if you haven't read this series before now, stop what you're doing and go check it out. The lovely thing about Christmas Shopaholic is that it can be read as a stand alone book, but having some of the background just makes it even more funnier.

Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is back and she is feistier than ever. Her crazy antics, shopping extravaganzas and hilarious letter writing are in full force when she is asked to host Christmas. Who wouldn't want to host Christmas? This is just another excuse to go shopping!!! I've got to get that llama Christmas ornament that is THE ornament to have this year!! Becky is one of those people I wish I had in my life as a friend. She will always keep life lighthearted and exciting and keep you on your toes.

This book is so much fun to read and it's the perfect holiday book. So many of the situations Becky gets herself into, I feel like could happen in real life as extreme as they are. I laughed so hard I cried. And isn't that also what the holidays are about - fun and laughter too?

This book and these characters will give you bowls full of belly laughs, keep you entertained and get you in the festive holiday spirit!!! Get your copy today, you don't want to miss this one!!!

My thanks to Sophie Kinsella, Random House Publishing and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love all things Christmas, and a new Sophie Kinsella novel is just perfect for that time!

This is a great, quick little read that will have you laughing and enjoying the easy read all the way to the end.

The character of Becky represents so many of us during the busy holiday season from online shopping to enjoying the easy traditions our families have created.

When her parents flip that world a little upside down, and then throw in all the typical sibling "wants" along with the classic Kinsella "oops look who's back" moments: Hysterical!

If you want a light read during the holiday season that will inevitably make you appreciate your own family's traditions a little more (and perhaps be open to some change!), then grab this novel- it's well-written, as Kinsella is, and the timing is impeccable for the holidays.

3.5 Stars.

A Fun, Light, Sweet, Enjoyable Read.

Who knew that simply reading about Shopping could be so Exhausting?! LOL. I forgot how much Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) likes to shop and actually felt guilty about the amount of money she was spending and it wasn’t my money! (Can we just say, Thank Goodness!?!?)

In “Christmas Shopaholic,” the Christmas season is quickly approaching and Becky finds bargain after bargain on the internet.. (at least they were “bargains” to her.. though I’m not quite convinced!).

Tis the season, till Becky finds herself in a pickle. Hosting Christmas. After her mother and father make the decision to move to Shoreditch. Shoreditch of all places! Leaving Becky to handle everything herself and being bombarded with requests from all of her family members and friends who are coming for Christmas Day. Of course, Becky has it all handled, though her shopping does tend to take over… just a tad.

“Christmas Shopaholic” was my second foray into the Shopaholic series, the first being “Confessions of a Shopaholic” - oh so many years ago and I must say that at first, this one overwhelmed me a bit as the only places I like to shop are bookstores - however Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) won me over. Her husband Luke, her family, her best friend and her daughter Minnie - they all simply add to her charm. I adored her desperate attempts to host the best Christmas ever - buying several different types of “trees,” her weight loss ‘attempts’ after buying an Alexander McQueen dress - perfect for Christmas, yet a few sizes too small because it was “on sale” and her efforts to sew a costume for her daughter Minnie’s Christmas Concert and her attempts to help a new friend. What won me over in the end, is how hard Becky tried at everything she did and those moments put a huge smile on my face and I think they will do the same for you!

Sophie Kinsella knows how to write light hearted, fun, sweet novels and I am really enjoying re-discovering her.

This was another buddy with Kaceey!

It has been quite a while since I've read one of the Shopaholic books and it's safe for me to say that Becky has grown (somewhat). She still makes bad choices with her shopping, and now she is also making bad choices about how she appears to others. ( maybe she always has, but mainly I'm reading this as a 'standalone' instead of part of the series; it has been that long since I've read one of these)!

Becky may be flighty at times and worry too much about what others think of her, but she is a good mother, a warm person and a very caring friend daughter and sister.

She has a lot of cringe-worthy moments in this book, and at times the book seems to make little sense (for me it was the hamster scene). However, everything works out in the end.

A fun, funny, light and fast read that brings the spirit of Christmas to the fore.

Anyone who has read Sophie Kinsella's Shopoholic series will not want to miss this newest installment after Kinsella took a brief hiatus from Becky to work on other projects.

Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) now lives in a little village in England with her darling husband Luke and her young daughter Minnie. She works for her best friend and continues happily to enjoy her true passion...shopping.

When her parents move into a very unconventional neighborhood, Becky decides to host Christmas at her house. Which means not only preparing her place and shopping for gifts, but it means she needs to grant the wishes of her guests, who seem to be multiplying on a daily basis. Her father has a new obsession with avocado and would like a supply on hand at Christmas dinner, her sister is insisting she won't come unless there is a vegan turkey and of course there are the brussel sprouts.

In the meantime, an old flame of Becky's has moved into town with his new girlfriend and they have taken an unusual liking to Becky and Luke. And per usual there are misinterpreted goings on with laugh out loud blunders.

Becky's most comical errors (I truly don't want to give them all away!) are when she desperately tries to find her husband a Christmas gift and the lengths to which she will go to find her daughter the only gift she wants for Christmas.

And of course thrown into the mix of the story are Becky's shopping sprees which make for pure delight for the reader.

I read this book with a smile on my face from beginning to I never want it to end. As she goes from one misadventure to another, as she innocently makes major mistakes, you think this book cannot get any funnier and then it does!

Thank you #NetGalley #TheDialPress/RandomHouse #SophieKinsella for the advanced copy. This book will ensure a happy holiday season!
