100% a Teresa Driscoll fan! I loved I am Watching You and The Friend. I Will Make You Pay did not disappoint! I could not put down the book, I had to finish it to see the outcome. Who is it that is messing with Alice every Wednesday! While I was reading, it was a Tuesday and I got scared just because I thought something was going to happen on Wednesday. I really enjoyed the way this book was written and how I felt like I was with Alice dealing with everything that was happening to her.

I Will Make You Pay is one of those incredibly fast-paced thrillers that makes you want to race breathlessly to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, with its multiple strands and hidden layers. In the author's note at the end, Driscoll mentions how she wanted to tell this story with a side to counter the negative. This came through wonderfully with the relationship between Alice and her mum.

It was good to see Matthew and Melanie make another appearance - their scenes always offer an additional insight into the case and the ways in which the police (and private investigators, of course) both view and deal with them.

Oh no its Wednesday! I loved this book - could not wait to get to the end to find out the villian! I am normally good at weeding out the baddie but in this case I really was stumped. The author successfully draws the reader into the life of journalist Alice the main character and weaves the tale around her life also taking the reader back in time to an unknown boy's life whom we assume is connected to or is the stalker. Some books I've read go thorugh a "boring" stage but this did not. For fans of a good psychological thriller and page turner look no further!

Beautifully written and suspenseful, this tense thriller vividly draws on the author's experiences with a very satisfying result. Equal parts police procedural, thriller, and psychological why-done-it, this haunting novel will please fans of Val McDermid. Highly recommended.

Every Wednesday, like clockwork, the horror returns but why? And what will be the next terror?
Fabulous story line, kept me guessing the whole way through. Would definitely recommend.

This book had all the twists and turns that I hope for in a good thriller! Journalist Alice gets threatening messages and gifts every Wednesday from a mysterious stalker. Who is determined to make her pay. The author kept building up the suspense and kept me eagerly anticipating who the stalker was and what his/ hers motive was. After reading I Am Watching You, I was excited to delve into Teresa Driscoll’s next story. She is one of the few authors who writes psychological thrillers that do not rely on jump scares and excessive twists. She terrifies readers precisely because she does not require us to suspend our disbelief- the plausibility of these stories happening in the real world makes them infinitely more terrifying than the majority of books in this genre. Driscoll also develops her characters as individuals and by their relationships with each other, giving her books depth and merit outside of the central mystery. I read this book in one day and it wasn’t until I closed it that I realized I had been filled with a quiet yet persistent feeling of dread from the very first page. The plot was original and managed to misdirect and surprise me without overdramatic reveals. An excellent novel.

And here I was, feeling awfully smug, thinking that I've got all figured out way before the end of the book.
Guess what? I got it all wrong! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the ending left me with my mouth hanging open. Minus one star because the protagonist Alice didn't fully come to life for me and remained kind of unapproachable.
Thanks to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for this eBook!

I did not enjoy this book. About 100 pages in, I’m giving up. The plot seemed so interesting yet nothing has really happened yet. And the chapters go back and forth between characters that I forget who is who so I lost interest.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.

When Alice a journalist recieves a sinister note threatening her life her husband hires a private investigator to track down the culprit, secrets start to immerge surrounding Alice, secrets she has kept from her husband... are these the reason for the threats or an article she has written that has upset someone

Well executed thriller - not hugely earthshattering but engrossing and fast-paced just the same with fleshed out and believable characters. Certainly kept my interest and laid several false trails which had me going for a while! I'd certainly recommend it as an entertaining read and I'd like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. This was the first book by Teresa Driscoll that I've read and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

Teresa Driscoll has always been at the top of my list when it comes to psychological thrillers.
Alice Henderson is a journalist, who one night gets a threatening phone call.
Is it a hoax, or does it represent something scarf
As the days go by more and more threats begin to appear
Will Alice be punished or will she be able to find out what is going on
Read it and find out

From the very first sentence I was intrigued and needed to know what in the world was going on. The story bounces back and forth between the perspective of the main character and their stalker. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened in the stalker’s life that caused them to be the way they are. I enjoyed the main characters and got drawn into their lives. Good story that I read in a day.

Theresa Driscoll brings us a story that has mystery, drama and stark fear. This story gives insight into how life altering the disturbing act of being stalkied is. Someone is stalking Alice. At first she missed the signals however, when a call comes into her at work saying though a voice distortion machine,"I will use a cheese wire on you" it shakes her to the core. It's on a Wednesday and for the last few Wednesday's she has had some strange things happen. Things she just wrote off as curious. This latest one leaves no doubt. Why is someone so obsessed and angry at her? Could it be a co-worker, someone she angered in a article she wrote or someone from her secret past. A past even her boyfriend doesn't know. There is only so much the police can do and Alice fluctuates between anger and absolute fear. She wants to be brave enough to go about her daily life. The newspaper she writes for isnt taking a chance they make her take time off. Her boyfriend wants her to move in with him and he wants to hire protection one day a week when the stalker typically hits. Alice wants to do normal activities but as more and more happens she is forced into an existence of watching over her shoulder and staying where she is protected. Can the stalker be caught before he does more? The story is a roller coaster ride of ups and downs for Alice. Angrily going out to finish stories she started then being forced back into being very afraid and allowing protection. But even with protection she isn't safe. Sometimes I wanted to shake Alice and say don't do that or good choice! Theresa has a knack for putting you into the story. I liked this book. I liked the charature of the private eye they hired to protect Alice and find the stalker a lot. Alice made me mad at times there is only so brave you should be. There was an interesting twist at the end. Thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for allowing me to read this ARC this is my honest opinion.

Another page turning book by Teresa Driscoll. It was great that Matthew Hill and DS Melanie Sanders returned to be involved in this case where every Wednesday we waited to fond out what would happen next. I thought I had it all worked out until the final twist in the tale. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
