A Cowboy Never Quits (Turn Around Ranch #1). By Cindi Madsen. 2019. Sourcebooks Casablanca (ARC eBook).

After her 15-year-old daughter Chloe ends up at the police station for being caught in a stolen car with her new “bad boy” boyfriend, Jessica Cook decides the Dawson family’s Turn Around Ranch is the answer for putting Chloe back and the straight and narrow. The ranch operates as a correctional ranch for troubled teens, but the current session if already booked full and one guff and grumpy cowboy in the Dawson bunch is not about to bend the rules. But as Jessica is leaving the impromptu meeting with the Dawsons, she sees a Help Wanted sign for a cook for the ranch. Swearing that she can cook, the operators relent, Chloe, and Jessica, can stay in exchange for Jessica’s services in the kitchen. Great news! Except Jessica can’t cook and Wade Dawson is still giving her grumpy looks.

Hard-working cowboys, family bonds, and animals, A Cowboy Never Quits is a delightful read. Wade and Jessica’s romance was sweet, engaging and well-paced for two people having had past relationships that were hurtful. And all of the characters at the ranch were believably invested in the well being of the teens and fleshed out well enough to set up this new series. I look forward to the next book.

A heart-warming and funny romance! Each character in this book is facing their own struggle, but together they just might make it through. Jessica gladly put her life plans on hold and grew up quickly to raise her child solo. Now she'd do anything to prevent her daughter from following in her footsteps, which leads to one hilarious disaster after another. Wade has been burned in the past, so he keeps his focus solely on his job, but nothing can protect him from the spitfire and desire of Jess. This story reminds me of Gilmore Girls, so if you're a fan, this will be right up your alley (with a few cowboys roped in.) I loved watching the close bond between mother and daughter grow stronger, full of second chances and learning to follow your heart!

A Cowboy Never Quits by Cindi Madsen was a quick, enjoyable with a sweet romance. Jessica becomes the cook at the Turn Around Ranch, in order to get her daughter Chloe a spot there for therapy for troubled teens. There she meets the rough around the edged Wade. This book was a great mix of romance, a mother daughter story, and Chloe's story as well. I thought all three storylines were balanced well. A wide variety of readers will enjoy this book!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

WOW! This book just blew me away! I adored the quick wit and snarky comebacks of Jessica Cook. This book had my emotions on a roller-coaster of a ride. I was laughing so hard at times that the hubby would give me "the look". Then there were times that I was crying my eyes out. This book was just one that I wanted to linger over. There were sections that I did re-read a couple of times, they were just that good.

Jessica is a single mom to Chloe. Jessica was a young 16 when she had Chloe. This two weren't just mother and daughter but best friends as well. At least, until Chloe falls into the "wrong crowd" with the bad boy boy-friend. After picking her 15 year old daughter up from jail for a joy-riding stint in a stolen car with said boy-friend, Jessica packs her daughter up and takes her to Turn Around Ranch. The ranch specializes in troubles kids and helps to turn them around. Unfortunately for Jessica, the ranch is full and it is over her limited budget. BUT fortunately the ranch is looking for a cook and Jessica said she would volunteer if they would make the exception and accept Chloe into their program. Now if only Jessica could cook!

Wade Dawson is the oldest son and the sternest cowboy. He has to keep his "bleeding heart" family in check. Rules are rules for a reason. Wade has been hurt before. He doesn't believe in exceptions to the rules. He turns Jessica and Chloe away until Jessica mentions she can cook. Wade knows Jessica is trouble with a capital "T"! But the ranch needs a cook. The job formerly belonged to his ma but she is recovering from an illness and the doctor's orders stress a less stressful life and not being on her feet all the time. Now let the fun begin!

This book is one that I would definitely be re-reading again and again. It was written in a multiple POV format. We not only get Jessica and Wade but Chloe and Aiden (Wade's adopted brother).

This is a slightly sexy read. It is not truly clean but the way those scenes were written, they highly glossed over details (at least to me that is.) On that note, as I don't want to offend any parents of young children, I would only HIGHLY recommend this to anyone OVER the age of 18. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. There are a LOT of Dawsons to go through and I can't wait!

A COWBOY NEVER QUITS is the first book in the TURN AROUND RANCH series, and I’m looking forward to reading more. With great characters and a wonderful plot, this is a book well worth reading.

Jessica and her daughter, Chloe, end up on the Turn Around Ranch, which is a correctional ranch for teens. (Chloe was thrown in jail with her boyfriend after making a poor choice.) The ranch is run by the Dawson family, and she and their eldest son, Wade, don’t see eye to eye from the start. Though there is plenty of chemistry and sizzle between them.

The story deals with the ranch and its program, featuring the relationships between the teenagers, their families, and the animals on the ranch. The attraction between Wade and Jessica ends up getting stronger, especially when she sees the ranch is looking for a cook, and her cooking skills add some levity to the story. The romance between Jessica and Wade is both steamy and romantic. A perfect ending. I can’t wait to see what happens next on Turn Around Ranch!

A Cowboy Never Quits can be defined as the quintessential feel-good cowboy/Western romance. Madsen always knows how to warm your heart with the cutest and silliest scenes. I had a goofy smile on my face for most of the book. She is my go-to author when I want to smile and giggle.

On top of this, she had two love stories developing at the same time, and both had me intrigued. I found it, so fun to be cheering on the mother-daughter relationship as well as their respective romantic ones. Add in some horses, baby calves, and other side characters, and you get this heart-warming and a classic romance novel.

I have read several books by Mrs. Madsen and I enjoyed "A Cowboy Never Quits" just as much as the others. This book is the first book in this series. I really enjoyed Jessica and Wades story. Jessica is a young single mom with a 15 year old daughter acting out. Jessica's is doing everything she can to keep her daughter on the right path. She takes her daughter to a correctional ranch for teens. They tell her they are at full capacity and can't except her daughter. She over hears them say they need a cook. Jessica tells them she will take the job as cook if they will except her daughter into their program. At this point she will do anything to help her daughter.

Second Chance ranch is owned by Wade Dawson, his parents and his brothers. Wade does not want to hire Jessica as cook or her daughter into the program. However Wades family over rule. They really need a cook because Wade's mom use to cook but due to recent health issues she can't cook for the ranch staff and kids in the program.

Wade and Jessica honestly get off on the wrong foot. However they both find each other attractive. Jessica gets herself into several situations in regards to Wade that are so funny. I really enjoyed reading about them and the situations Jessica puts herself in.

This a sweet book with dual POV, funny parts and people finding theirselves.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

Jessica cook is spending her thirty first birthday on a correctional ranch for teens .she needs help with her daughter . She was not expecting the hot cowboys. She manages to get her daughter on and secure a job as a cook. I found myself skipping parts and thought some of the dialogue was boring.

A Cowboy Never Quits by Cindi Madsen was a story about family, love and second chances. Jessica is a single mom who loves her daughter and would do anything for her. But when she begins to go down a bad path, she will do anything to help her. Even become a cook on a therapy ranch for teenagers. A mom who is not the best cook to begin with and that is an understatement! But Wade had his doubts about her. Even with the crazy chemistry they share! It was so much fun watching Wade and Jessica interact. And her cooking adventures were a hoot. Jess was smart and determined. Wade was grumpy and not ready for Jess.

Happy reading!

Cindi Madsen gives a powerful story with this book...Overcoming trouble, heartache, anxiety and so much more on Turn Around Ranch.
Jessica Cook would do anything to help her wayward teenage daughter even if it means bringing her out to Boot Camp Ranch, taking on a job as a cook and sometimes Ranch hand.
Wade Dawson was outvoted to bring Jessica on as a cook and allowing her daughter to stay in the program and he knew she would be trouble he just didn't realize that it would involve him.

What an enjoyable book!
I loved the banter between Jess and Wade throughout the book. Her not knowing how to cook and him not wanting her there was a great start to their time together. I laughed numerous times. Getting stuck in the mud? Funny.
I also really like that the heroine's daughter and the hero's adoptive brother had part of the story as well. Written from their POV. I felt like it added a lot to the story.
This was my first book by Cindi Madsen and am looking forward to reading more, especially from this series.

a cowboy never quits finds single mother jessica cook doing everything in her power to pull her daughter chloe out of a bad situation that could send her down the wrong path. jessica knows from making mistakes as a teen, since she was only fifteen when she had chloe.

the turn around ranch seems to be the perfect place to help chloe, but wade dawson, one of the owners, that they belong there is a big ask. but jessica is determined and charming and does everything she absolutely can for her daughter. in face of that kind of persistence and tenacity, wade doesn't stand a chance. in more ways than one, because he's pretty head over heels for jess early on.

this story is sweet and about more than just a romance. what makes a family and what you do with second chances figures pretty heavily in the plot. and there is a subplot between chloe and one of wade's adoptive brothers that is also very sweet.

**a cowboy never quits will publish on december 31, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/sourcebooks casablanca in exchange for my honest review.

A Cowboy Never Quits was an enjoyable slow burn romance. The characters ere interesting. I really liked Jessica. I could feel her desperation to do anything it took to help her daughter. I loved what the people on the ranch did to make sure she and Chloe could stay. As I said, the relationship between Jessica and Wade was a nice slow burn. Their HEA was really sweet. What I enjoyed the most about the story was Chloe's perspective. I enjoyed watching her go through her transformation. It was a nice addition to the book.

A Cowboy Never Quits is the new release by author Cindi Madsen. It’s a contemporary romance, small-town romance, and cowboy romance all rolled into one. And really, with the witty banter between characters and some of the shenanigans and goings-on on the ranch, you could add a bit of romcom to that list.

I’ll be honest. I love Cindi Madsen’s book. I honestly can’t find one that I’ve read that I didn’t like or fall in love with. So you really can’t go wrong with any of her books!

What I liked most about this book were the hero and heroine. Jessica is a single mom who is doing the best she can. She took on the role of mother long before she was ready but has worked so hard to give her daughter the best that she can. I love that she literally will do anything to make sure her daughter doesn’t end up in the same situation as she did as a teenager. Not necessarily because she feels guilty for being a teen mom, but because she doesn’t want her daughter to have to struggle to make it like she did. Talk about a mama bear! And despite Wade having to be the gruff rule follower and enforcer, he really has a big, squishy heart underneath. And the chemistry between them is set to smoldering…which eventually morphs into a roaring blaze. They also allow themselves to be vulnerable to each other despite realizing that their time together has an expiration date. But when it comes down to it, they are both willing to make sacrifices to make it work. And did I mention the witty banter??!

NICUnurse’s Rating: A Cowboy Never Quits is a feel-good, fun, funny, yet emotional read that will have you turning page after page and not wanting to put this book down until The End. Like I said, it’s really hard to go wrong with any book by Cindi Madsen!

I give A Cowboy Never Quits by Cindi Madsen 4.5 out of 5 stars!

For Jess Cook, the Turn Around Ranch is her last best hope to keep her daughter Chloe from repeating Jess's mistakes. Jess was a teen mom and Chloe's started running with a bad crowd. Jess is willing to do literally anything for Chloe, including learning to cook for thirty hungry ranch folk, and it's the mother-daughter story which tugs on the heartstrings most in this book. The hero Wade, a co-owner of the ranch, is a lovely guy who'd come across a bit too good to be true if he wasn't occasionally testy and impatient, is obviously perfect for Jess, and it's really just logistics that get in the way. There's a cute side romance with Chloe and Aidan, a former troubled teen and Wade's adopted brother, and a whole side cast of characters who I'm guessing will all find their own happy endings as this series progresses.

As a mother of two boys rapidly coming up on teenagerhood, there were a lot of messages in here that really resonated with me. Jess was such an easy character for me to empathise with, her maternal instincts trumping everything else, including her own self-preservation. Her grit and determination was genuinely inspiring, and honestly I think anyone who's ever had to dig in and struggle through tough day after tough day with no end in sight can relate to what she told Wade.one night.

"Sometimes in life fair and unfair and easy and hard don't matter. You do what you have to do. You keep on swimming."

It's a powerful sentiment, and interestingly enough, it brings me back to the title of the book, which I admit I looked at with a certain degree of puzzlement once I’d finished it. Yes, the male love interest in the book is a cowboy, but he’s not the one who shows extraordinary persistence, who refuses to quit even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. It’s Jess who’s the heart of the story, Jess the one who won’t quit no matter what. But then… I suppose ‘A Mom Never Quits’ doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

If you enjoy heartwarming stories about overcoming tough odds and finding true love where you least expect it, I reckon you’ll absolutely love this book. I certainly did. Five stars.
