This is a great book to ease your child’s fears about visits to the doctor. It is a board book, but there is a lot of information in it and could definitely be read to children up to age 5. It gives an in depth view of what the visit will be like, what tools will be used, why certain things are checked and what the doctor will find out. The illustrations are wonderful and help make the material accessible for toddlers. I think the explanations of the different parts of the doctor check up can help relieve some of the fear behind doctor check-ups for anxious kids. A book that could be read to children prior to a doctor's appointment as well as one Pediatricians could have in their waiting rooms for parents to share with their children while they are waiting.
I honestly was disappointed in Baby Medical School: My Doctor's Visit. I was hoping for something that might help a toddler who was feeling anxious about an upcoming visit to the doctor. I thought the information in the book was too sophisticated for the target audience. (I assume that a board book is for the 4 and under crowd.) The illustrations were cute, but not as colorful as I would have liked. I would not purchase this for my granddaughters.
This board book is designed to help children prepare for a check up. I found it to be fairly sophisticated for the young readers it targets. There is a lot of information in the book and this includes some medical terminology. Sphygmomanometer seems like an impressive word for a toddler and pre-schooler's book. Read with a parent, this book can certainly help a child to know more about their body, what happens at a check up and why things like vaccines are given.
The illustrations that accompany the text are appealing. I especially love all of the eyes that are featured on these pages.

A simple children’s book explaining anatomy and what occurs at the doctors visit with cute and simple images.
Doctors visits can be a source of anxiety for anyone and this book helps explain to children what will happen to help them understand and alleviate some concerns.
My son loved the pictures.

This book is awesome for toddlers. It explains what to expect when you visit the doctor in an easy and fun way. It even goes into detail about how the body works. It's on my to buy list for my little guy!
