Bruce Goldfarb brings the story of forensic science pioneer, Frances Glessner Lee to life. At a time when women didn't go to college, this grandmother was teaching at Harvard Medical School about the investigation of death. The dedication that she had to the scientific community is inspiring. and should encourage more women to get into the field of science.
As a true crime and history fan, found this book to be very informative. It was interesting to learn the history of legal medicine and it’s formation. I enjoyed reading about the historical cases in early forensics the most. Frances Lee seemed like a passionate woman and she did so much to advocate for justice by the means of forensic studies. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the advanced review copy.
