A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series but reads well as a stand alone. I liked this book. I found it fun and loved that they were both vets. Thought it was hilarious that they thought they were keeping their relationship secret in a small town. Just a quick, fun read. 3.5 stars
This was a nice, easy to read story and thoroughly enjoyable.
It was a relaxing and heart-warming story that had a lovely flow to it.
The characters were strong and they worked really well together, their interaction was great and I thought they worked brilliantly with the plotline.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, I thought it was another well written and highly additive story from this author - highly recommended!!
I loved the first book and this one didn't disappoint. Hunter is my favorite of the brothers and his story was perfect for him. The chemistry between him an Kit is just right. This is a fast paced read with sweet romance, sexy scenes, and humor. I'm ready for Scout's story.
The story of Hunter and Kit. He runs a vets and she is on placement. They are drawn to each other, but she has her future planned out and will be leaving soon, so do they have a chance?
Short but good read.
This second book in the Benedict brother's series bring the reader to Hunter and Kit's tale. They survive a veterinarian practice and a bachelor auction to find their future path together. Enjoyed this book.
While there is rarely a book of Leslie North’s that I don’t enjoy, Wrangling His Sexy Assistant is definitely up at the top of my list of favourites. There was nothing about this book that didn’t appeal to me as a lover of Cowboys, intrigue and romance.
Hunter and Kit were wonderful characters and their story of overcoming moral barriers and personal commitments, was delivered with a realistic flare and totally believable. Everyone loves a hero; riding to the rescue of the damsel in distress and saving the day is swoon-worthy, but a strong and determine heroine is certainly a big plus for me.
The plot was intriguing and the story as a whole had an easy ebb and flow to the writing, which served to entice the reader to continue till the final page was turned. Ms North has definitely produced a winner with this fabulous story, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Scout!
Cute story. Easy to follow and read. Definitely one to add to your must read list. You will fall in love with the sweet story.
I'm typically hit or miss with novellas. I think it's very difficult to cultivate a plot line and character development within a limited amount of pages. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Wrangling His Sexy Assistant. It's actually one of the better novellas I've read in a while. Hunter Beckett is a veterinarian in a small community. As the story begins, he is on the auction block to raise money for a local charity. He is anything but happy about being there. Sensing his unease, his veterinary resident, Kit Cowie, comes to his rescue and outbids the others. In exchange, she wants more experience with the large animal portion of the practice. This leads the two to spending even more time together which causes more sparks to fly and feelings to get involved. In the midst of all of this, Hunter is paranoid that he is crossing a line as Kit's supervisor and not only endangering her position as a resident but his own as well. Also, they are both aware that at the end of her residency period, Kit will return home to take over her father's small animal vet practice so that he can spend time with and be there for her mother. It isn't really what Kit wants to do, but she feels obligated. Obviously things never go as planned. I really enjoyed this quick and fun read.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I don't have many words for this book. It was really, horribly awful. I'm sorry to the author for being so harsh, but it's the truth. Bad writing, bad characters, silly plot...I could go on.
Hunter Beckett has avoided having any trainee vets but he had to fulfil his obligations so took on Kit, his sister-in-law’s best friend. He wasn’t planning on finding her so attractive and is fighting getting too close to her as he doesn’t want to get into trouble as her supervisor. Kit is shocked to find Hunter is super hot and difficult to resist. As they work together they finally decide to give in to the attraction for the few short months Kit will be there until she has to return to run her family veterinary practice. Another story featuring the Beckett brothers, enjoyable story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is part of a series and I have been lucky enough to read the first one. I was therefore pleased to be able to read this, the second one
Loved it - can't wait for the next one
Wrangling His Sexy Assistant is the second book in the Beckett Brothers series by Leslie North. The main characters are Kit and Hunter. She is his resident and their story began when she had the highest bid in an auction he was taking place in. The blurb covers that pretty well. After the first book in the series, I was a bit reluctant to begin this one, but I have to say that I was impressed with this book. Kit and Hunter have one of the most developed relationships I had the chance to read from this author and it made me remember why I liked to read the novellas she writes. This book is one of her best works!
Wrangling His Sexy Assistant is the second book in the Beckett Brothers series. It was a very good story! I have not read the first in the series, but this one easy to follow along since it's main focus is Hunter and Kit. I enjoyed meeting the Beckett brothers who like to push each other's buttons in a loving way. The relationship between Hunter and Kit was sweet. I thought it funny when they tried to hide their relationship from their coworkers, but in the end their smiles and Hunter's good humor gave them away. Though their lack of communication in regards to their future as a couple almost separated them luckily friends and family intervened.
Kit's backstory is very sad and I felt for her. She was putting off her dream of being a vet for large animals to help out her dad, who is also a vet and wanted to retire to help out Kit's mom who suffered from MS.
Great story with a HEA!
Highly recommended for those in search of a sweet romance! Plus, cute farm animals!!
Thank you to the publisher for providing the ARC through NetGalley for review.
I was really surprised that neither Kit or Hunter had a pet. It's uncommon to read a vet romance where the vet does not have one. It's always funny to see how many people knew all along when a couple are trying to sneak around. I liked this book and can't wait for Scout's story.
Another great Katie Reus read, full of fast paced plot, great characters and amazing chemistry. A book you pick up and can’t put down, lovely romance
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
