Many big-name authors and titles here! The Young Adult excerpts were particularly exciting to me, and seem poised to continue the dominance of some bestselling authors (such as Libba Bray and David Levithan) or launch others into readers' awareness (Sarah J. Maas). Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian's BURN FOR BURN is an intriguing look into these YA contemporary authors' foray into vengeful speculative fiction. Also of interest to me was the excerpt from Jasper Fforde's The Last Dragonslayer, which promises to be even more absurd and memorable than his Thursday Next series.
This is a group of excerpts from 2012 novels from BEA Buzz Books. Some of the authors found include Barbara Kingsolver, Mark Helprin, Peter Heller, Libba Bray, Junot Diaz, Dennis Lehane, Bill Roorbach and Kevin Powers along with many others. There are 30 or so excerpts.
Thank you for providing me with these excerpts. I found a few new books to add to my TBR. I am obviously not writing a full review anywhere for this as it was for information purposes only.
One day I'm going to get to BEA and I like to see what books are going to be there! Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review these hot books.
A selection of upcoming releases from numerous authors from Book Expo America. A great way to find new authors to try and up coming releases.
I am simply trying to move this book sampler from my dashboard by writing this brief "review." The sampler was interesting because it contained excerpts from 2012 work of several authors I enjoyed reading at the time - and still to this day in most cases. However, it never crossed my mind to write a formal review of a sampler like this one, and i do apologize for the oversight.
This is a sampler of BEA Buzz Books but none of these are complete books— this book only contains excerpts, Therefore it is not possible to write a review of the book, and my not doing so should not count against my NetGalley feedback given percentage. I hope the publisher is understanding of that. I’m also leaving a star rating only because Netgalley is forcing me to. Again these are not complete books, only sample chapters / excerpts.
I see this is on my shelf from 2012, but I must have missed it. Sorry, but I did not read or review it. Thank you anyway for giving me the opportunity.
Loved to read the catalog, it was very helpful at the time. I didn't do BEA but the information gathered was helpful anyway, and much appreciated.
Some good stuff in here, I'll be getting lots from the library. (I did get several). I'm very excited for "Origins" by Jessica Khoury and "The Last Dragonslayer" by Jasper Fforde. (Origins" ended up being disappointing.)
Always great to take a look at the upcoming reads for the season. I appreciate getting these sneak peeks at what books I might like to review in the future. It helps narrow them down before I request anything. Hope these continue in the future.
This is a compilation of buzz for upcoming books, not really able to review.
Great way to find out about new books and discover some hidden little gems you might not know about.
Not sure why a review is required for a catalog. I just want to clean up my shelves and there is no way to remove this without reviewing it.
Was a good look at upcoming books.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
My apologies; if I requested this book, it appears that due to family commitments I was not able to read it before the book was archived. I'm sorry it has lingered this long.
