I received an Advanced Reader Copy from NetGalley and Althea Press for my unbiased opinion of the book. I remember a phrase somewhere they say "heal thy self" this is the book to do it with. It takes a comprehensive holistic approach to the seasons and mind body and spirit. When you cover all the basis you begin to have a healthier more mindful and conscious you. The book goes into detail in the beginning chapters on how to start the process and what it all means for us newbies. I tried Spanish Clams with Chorizo, Chinese Longevity Noodles with Shiitake Mushrooms, Turmeric Chicken all of them were delightful. The recipes are well laid out and easy to follow with not a lot of high-priced ingredients. I cannot wait to cook my way through this book during each season. I will be recommending this book to all my family and friends.

These recipes are both healthful and delicious. The Chinese Medicine viewpoint is new to me, so I enjoyed that aspect, as well.
Not only is this a cookbook, it gives a lesson in the elements . Teaches of interactions and harmony for the body.
