I enjoyed this book. The characters , the story, the plot. Jolie Moore is a new to me author .
I look forward to more !
Isabella and her mother are abandoned by her father, forcing her mother to take up employment as a live in housekeeper/cook for a wealthy family. It is here that Isabella meets Jake, son to the family Isabella's mother is now working for. An unlikely friendship blossoms between the pair despite the protests from their parents and so we are taken on a journey as the two experience this new and exciting friendship and everything that comes along with it.
This is the first book I have read from Jolie Moore, it was an interesting and enjoyable read, just the right amount of anxt, sexy tension and romance.
I am looking forward to the second instalment which will be told from Jake's perspective. There are quite a few questions left unanswered from this novel, which is to keep you hooked and coming back for more.
All in all, a really enjoyable read.
I believe this is the first book I read by Jolie Moore and I am hooked.
Isabella and her mother are left by her father. He took off with her brother and left them to fend for themselves. Her mom finds a job in New Jersey as a live in cook and housekeeper for a wealthy Chinese family. It is the perfect solution to get them out of poverty. The family has a son, Jake, who is a year or so older than Isabella. They become friends, and the friendship has so many dynamics to it. This books takes us on a journey that, I didn't expect. It was funny, sexy and sad all mixed up into a perfect book. I can not wait for the next book in this series.

Ok Ms. Moore, you hooked me! I read this in one day. Now, I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of the series.
What Was Perfect was from Isabella's perspective. It was a drama filled read and there wasn't a dull moment in any of the pages. You get a few answers as to why things happen in her life but there are still some definite questions as the book comes to an end. I know that book two is told from Jake's perspective and I look forward to seeing what his "excuses" will be because he is currently residing on my "bad list." It will take some pretty big reasons to bring him back from the time out corner in my opinion.
Isabella and her mother are left at the beginning of the book by her father. He takes her brother and moves back to Italy, leaving Isabella and her mother in poverty. Her mother finds a position in New Jersey as a live in cook and housekeeper for a wealthy Chinese family. They have a son, Jake, who is a year or so older than Isabella. They become best friends, must to the dismay of his parents. From there, I'm not going to give anymore details. I wouldn't want to ruin any of the fun. Let's just say, I enjoyed every bit of it and want to get my paws on the next one asap!
