I've read a few Nancy Thayer books before and they never disappoint to be full of Christmas cheer and romance. I don't think her descriptions are of Nantucket are as vivid as Elin Hilderbrand's, but she does a nice job of making you feel the charm of the island. This one was sweet and predictable. It's a small book that actually took me quite a while to get through because I kept drifting off from the story. I wasn't compelled to pick it up, sadly. It's a cute little Christmas book and the cover is gorgeous, making it a sweet holiday decoration.

The holiday season is almost upon us once again and with that time of year comes lovely contemporary romance Christmas stories. Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer is my first seasonal review and what better to start with than an established author who I expected to have a lovely story.

Let It Snow features Christina Antonioni who is a toy shop owner in Nantucket who has an encounter with a little girl who tries to shoplift. Catching Wink in action Christina feels sorry for her and offers to give her a job to help her during the holidays instead of turning her in.

Little did Christina know that her act of kindness wouldn’t be appreciated by Wink’s mother who is the daughter of the wealthiest man in town and also the landlord of the shops. Unexpectedly Christina finds herself building a relationship with Wink’s uncle that will be in jeopardy when his father threatens to raise the rent and put Christina out of business.

I’m not sure what it says about people when one of the most well known Christmas characters happens to be Scrooge but regardless Let it Snow has it’s own grumpy old version. It’s a cute story with bringing together the rich and poor, making one little girl feel special at Christmas, melting Scrooge’s heart and so on. Nice way to start getting into the Christmas spirit.

Nantucket, Romance and Christmas - another Nancy Thayer winning combination. ‘Let It Snow’ is an easy and enjoyable read with very relatable characters all set in a beautiful Fall/Winter Nantucket scenery. As an avid Nancy Thayer fan, I highly recommend all readers to take this literary journey alongside Christina ( Toy Shop Owner), Wink (lovable nine year old girl) and Andy (gorgeous, rich uncle) through the off season of Nantucket. (You won’t be disappointed).

Warm Christmas Romance
This heartwarming Christmas romance takes place on Nantucket Island and features a toy store. It is a perfect setting for a sweet and clean Christmas romance. The author has made this book read like a Hallmark movie. This book has no faults that I could see. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest opinion.

Snow may be in the forecast but Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer is a warm hearted delightful story. Taking place at the Christmas season, the book has a magical quality that brings out the best in some and the need to improve in other. The kind of story that makes you wish for Christmas to hurry up and arrive in your neck of the woods.

Christina Antonioni is a sunny person even though she has the right to be sad this Christmas. She is the kind of person that makes you want to be a better person, too. Add in a poor little rich girl, her self-centered mother, money hungry grandfather, you have the makings of a modern day Dickens story. Don’t forget the kind compassionate good-looking uncle who is included in some of the best parts of this tale.

Would you like to live on an island? I enjoyed this story and the folks in it. To me this is a story of learning who you are and being brave enough to embrace it. I would love to visit the Shedders and their shops. What a unique group this is. What a surprise Wink turned out to be. First thought might be poor little rich girl, but what a delightful child when you get to know her. Everyone has a story and it was fun learning all the stories of the folks on Nantucket. Sometime you just have to take a chance and see what it brings you. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

Let It Snow is a sweet and charming love story that is perfect to curl up with for an easy and light read. I love the Nantucket setting; it is easy to picture the shops, the weather, the scenery, and the hustle and bustle of the people. Nancy Thayer did such a fantastic job at creating such vivid, realistic and descriptive settings, and her pure and colorful characters fit in so wonderfully. I enjoyed this novel and can easily see it made into a Hallmark movie.

LET IT SNOW delivers a charming Christmas story with touches of family, community and finding love in unexpected places. And if this story doesn’t remind you of Scrooge, then I’d be surprised since our crotchety, grumpy old man is raising rents so high on his wharf properties that the “shedders” businesses will have no choice but to close. Enter a potential shoplifting 9-year-old, her handsome and extremely rich uncle, and a group of people who will always have each other’s backs no matter what happens and you’ll find a charming, realistic, funny, heart-touching story to warm your Christmas spirit quite nicely.

Sometimes I believe the less said the better for you really should experience LET IT SNOW firsthand to get all the nuances, the undercurrents, and the personalities involved – and not just the main characters. I enjoyed Christina, Andy and “Wink” so much, I believe you’ll devour their adventures as well. And if you get a major dose of Christmas cheer with all the trimmings, all the better.

I'll be honest. I had a hard time getting into this book at the beginning. I was probably a quarter of the way through it before I got really interested in the story.
The setting did intrigue me. Christina owned a little, tiny shop in a shack on the wharf in Nantucket. Being from the Mid-West, that is totally foreign to me. When Christina meets Andy because his niece is stealing a toy in her shop, it's your basic girl meets billionaire. I'm not a huge fan of super rich characters, but Andy certainly had redeeming characteristics. He really wants to live in the little, tiny town and wants to do good for the community.
My favorite part of the story was Christina's friends working the other little shops. They were fun and interesting. This isn't a deep story, but it's a great light Christmas story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

It took me awhile to get into the story but once I did, I really enjoyed it. I have never been to Nantucket so it was easy for me to picture the setting for the story. Well written and just in time for Christmas.

The winter-in-Nantucket setting adds so much to this wonderful romance. Bonus: it's a holiday title as well. I'm looking forward to recommending this to readers who enjoy a love story that is well-paced with appealing multi-generational characters. Will appeal to fans of Dorothea Benton Frank and Elin Hilderbrand.

I loved this book. It gave me all the feels. Now Christmas is 2 months away but after reading this book I wish it was now. Oscar reminds me of Scrooge. Christina has such a big heart. Andy is perfect for her but it takes some convincing on his part to get her to see that. The descriptions on what Nantucket look like at Christmas makes me want to go visit during that time and not just during the summer. Love is in the air during this season as a few people find their ones.

Let It Snow is a great read. I think it would be great to add to the Holiday season reading list. Four and a half stars.

In Nancy Thayer’s latest novel, it is Christmas time in Nantucket. Christina Antonioni is the owner of a toy store that is located in a set of historic shacks on the wharf in Nantucket. Along with the other owners, they scramble to make ends meet, especially during the winter when visitors don’t often arrive at the island.

A young girl, Wink, becomes a valued friend who helps Christina during the busy Christmas season.

The shop owners are shocked when the new owner of the wharf raises their rent to a degree that is unfeasible for all. Christina, by nature of her relationship with Wink and with Wink’s uncle, is voted the voice of the shop owners to speak with the wharf owner. That is because Wink and and uncle are granddaughter and son of the Scrooge of a landlord.

The story is cute and there are lots of funny moments. The relationships between the shop owners are worth the price of admission for this story. It’s also fun to watch Christina and Wink (and, yes, Uncle) as their relationships develop, too.

I really enjoy Christmas tales and this is a very good one. I always enjoy a trip to Nantucket via Nancy Thayer’s novels.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

Let It Snow was cozy and sweet and predictable and let me tell you, I AM HERE FOR IT. Sometimes, you simply need a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form and that is exactly what Nancy Thayer wrote. You have your quaint town, your sweet local girl, and the well-off outsider. They come together in a meet-cute, but of course, things must go awry when things are just getting good. Throw in a cute kid with moxie and pet cat and you are all set for a perfect night of Hallmark-esque reading. It’s comfy, it’s festive, and full of heart. What else could you ask for?

I received an advanced review copy. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. Nantucket sounds like a quaint place to visit. The characters were easy to like. Some more childish than others. The story deals with all kinds of relationships, those of a romantic nature, friendship, community, etc. I was surprised at the couples and who was attracted to who. Also to watch how different characters grew, matured, and blossomed. This is a nice relaxing ready. Easy to read and the story caught my attention quickly.

A wonderful feel good Christmas story by one of my favorite authors. The setting is the authors beloved Nantucket. I enjoyed the story of shopkeeper, Christina and her assorted Nantucket friends including an old scrooge of a landlord, his son, and his granddaughter. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy.

This is a perfect story to get you in the Christmas spirit. It was nice to see a place like Nantucket, that is usually told in warmer months, shown in the winter Christmas season. The setting and the storyline are engaging and make you want to keep reading. I do wish the characters had more depth to them as sometimes I felt like I didn't have a real picture of what they looked like. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

I received this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

This is a fun Christmas romance. The characters are likable, for the most part, and the main couple is adorable. This is just the kind of light read that is great for the holiday season.
