Fantastic story💕

This story is the first in Rachel’s Covet series and is an absolute must read. Imagine this scenario - you’re one of a twin set, your parents get a divorce and one twin goes with one parent. Years later you get told your twin is in a coma after years of no acknowledgement by him and you are needed to step into his position/life as there is a lot riding on decisions made for the company and its future! Oh and more but you’ll have to read the story to find out the details😍

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and Rachel for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review and I can’t wait for the next one❣️

Julian and Bridge are twin brothers who are split apart when their parents get divorced. Bridge was always there for Julian and watched out for him until the divorce. Then they got further and further apart. When the chips are down though, will Bridge be able help to Julian out again or is it too much?

I felt the hurt, the pain and the devastation that Bridge had from not being there for Julian recently. Julian grew up in luxury while Bridge and his mom barely had 2 nickels to rub together. Bridge worked for everything they had while Julian got to play at life.

When Bridge steps in to Julian's life, he says he won't get wrapped up in it, he won't get attached to Isobel. He didn't understand how much of a pull Isobel would have though. I could feel what he was going through trying not to fall for her. It wasn't supposed to happen though. What happens when it comes out that he's not Julian and he's Bridge? Will she walk away and will he be able to if that's her decision?

Loved it and can't wait to read more of this series!!!

Wow!!!
This is the first non mafia book I have read from this author and I'm blown away.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat shocked at what I was reading.
This is not a pretty story. It's full of family drama and betrayal that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next.
I knew just from the blurb and how the author has written other books that it would be detailed as if you were right there beside them but wow, talk about roller coaster of emotions, leaving you wondering who you should be rooting for but as usual true love conquers all.
Definitely a must read and would give more stars if I could.
Look forward to next book in the series.

When they were young Bridge promised his twin brother Julian that he would always take care of him and keep him safe. But after a disastrous divorce their family was ripped apart and Julian and their father walked away, and Bridge was left to care for their ailing mother. Through the last decade the boys have had very little contact, mainly because of their controlling father, but they are about to be reunited.

When Julian is involved in a tragic accident, their father shows up on Bridge's doorstep armed with deal that he knows Bridge won't be able to refuse. Bridge knows this deal will come with a lot of complications and hoops to jump through... but nothing could prepare him for the moment he meets his brothers, and now his, fiancee Isobel. One look at her and he knows he is in deep trouble...

Stealing Her is a tragic and heart-wrenching tale that will reek havoc on your heart and emotions. This one really did a number on me, the words had my emotions all over the place, and the romance brewing between Bridge and Izzy had me dying in anticipation. I knew Bridge and Izzy were perfect for one another, but with the impending return of Julian I had to wander if he would wind up winning her back...their constant dance around one another darn near killed me! I absolutely loved every single second of this one, the instant my eyes landed on the first page I was addicted, I just couldn't pry my eyes away.. so much drama to sort out!! I cannot wait for Julian's story, I had a hard time connecting with him, I am hoping he changes my mind about him and redeems himself! Highly recommend, you get your hands on this one, it will grab you from the first page and hold you hostage until the last... it's so good!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Stealing Her by Rachel Van Dyken is book One in the Covet Series. This is the story of Isobel and Bridge. Bridge and his twin brother Julian where once close but separated by their parents divorce. Julian went on to be with their father who wasn't a good man at all. Bridge ended up staying with their mother who isn't in good health. This started Bridge on the path to laying the blame with his brother and father with the wish to get back at them. But then in their present day Bridge's father comes to him with a offer that he can't walk away from that will help him with his mother. Julian is fighting for his life and his father doesn't want it to get out so he is asking Bridge to pretend to be Julian to ensure that the investors and stock do not take a hit that could cost them millions of dollars. Bridge starts to see that his brother didn't have the perfect life but he does have the perfect
fiancée in Isobel. Isobel was taken into Julian's home and once she had very strong feelings for Julian. But Julian changed so much along with her confidence that seem to be taken away from her being in the engagement. Bridge starts to question if he can pretend to be with Isobel when he truly wants her and wants her for his own.
Enjoyed their story.

I loved this book! I remember reading the synopsis when it was first released and excited for this story! I was a little nervous though about a love triangle, but I had nothing to worry about! I cannot wait to read Finding Him.

I fell hard for Bridge. He has a heart of gold. He’s being asked a lot by a man he hates, but he’s willing to do whatever he can to protect the ones he loves. He sacrifices so much for those people, but also does the unthinkable.

Oh my poor Isobel. My heart broke for her. She was a lost soul waiting for the right man to come and show her who she could be. Someone to help set her free.

This book is one of my favorites by Rachel. It gave me all the feels. Now I need book 2! I have to know what happens with Julian!

Lies, money, heartbreak, it’s all here. I absolutely love this authors work so when I read the blurb to this I knew I just had to read it. One brother pretending to be another, sign me up.

When I e brother gets hurt the other brother steps in to take his place. Unaware that there are two of them Izzy remembers what drove her to love and her heart is starting to heal. These characters Izzy and Bridge are so easy to fall in love with and I loved watching them fall for each other. But just when things seem to be going great the lies and betrayal come out.

Loved this amazing story and can’t wait for Julian’s book!

I was a little torn when I first started this book I’m not really happy about cheating with my main characters. The circumstances of this book won me over. I loved the dynamic between Izzy, Juliane and Bridge. Bridge always the protector is asked to an almost impossible task. He felt that he had let his brother down in the past and that he didnt want to let him down again. This book had me on the edge of my seat waititng to see how everything was going to play out. I plan on reading this book again and will definitely be recomending this book to friends and family.

This book was so well written, the story line was WOW! 5 stars for this one! You don't want to miss out on it!
Meet twins Bridge & Julian, one strong, the other the protector! When their parents divorce, one gets a luxury filled life, while the other is left to struggle to make ends meet with his mom.
Their father did this to them, he's a ruthless man. But when he needs Bridge's help, will he step in and help the father that didn't choose him and left him to care for his sick mother?

I don't want to give too much away, I think it's best you read this and experience it at that time! You won't be disappointed!

I enjoyed this book so much, and I can't wait for the next story! Grab this one asap!

Five Reasons to add Stealing Her to your must read list. One, it's by Rachel Van Dyken. Two, the men are devilishly alpha and sinfully sexy. THAT YOU CANNOT RESIST. Three, the heroine is a sassy, sweet, admirable and compassionate woman who will steal your heart. Four, an intricate and mindblowing story line with jaw dropping twists and angsty chemistry. Five, see number one.

I wish I could live in Rachel Van Dyken ' s brain because it is such fascinating place to be! I have no freaking idea how she spins the most incredible and unique story every single time. Stealing Her the story of twin brothers Bridge and Julian separated as their parents got divorced. Julian has become the emotionless and single minded machine who cares for their rich business and their arrogant and ruthless father's approval only. Whereas Bridge has become the man his mother made him. Working hard, moral values , respect for woman and hatred for his father's money. By a cruel turn of fate, Julian is in an almost fatal accident. And Bridge has to take his place to save their legacy. He finds himself getting helplessly sucked into the vortex of lies, deception and corporate power plays. And the biggest complication is Julian's fiance Isobel. The woman who was ignored and cheated and abused by Julian into a shell of her beautiful soul. And Bridge is drawn to her light like a moth to the flame. Izzy is also surprised by the changes in "Julian". Her heart wants to convince her the old college Julian is back but she knows she is falling for a stranger. And so starts the enticing, enthralling and twisted story of love, passion, trust, power, deceit and chaos.

I wish I could choose between Julian and Bridge. Bridge is the swoonworthy, bossy but protective brother who fearlessly tackle all the manipulating game of his father. My heart and panty melted by the way he brought Izzy's shattered and broken soul back to life. But as the story progresses and reveals secrets, Julian does not come across as dark as it seems. Izzy, I feel your pain. Rachel Van Dyken expertly explored Izzy's doubt and confusion and inner battles. Falling for another person while thinking it is her lover's better person is mindfuck to highest degree. The mind games of corporate world run parallel with games of heart. The slpw burn between Izzy and Bridge is pure torture. The smouldering hot passion explodes spectaculary. And the angst. Oh the heartbreaking , soul shattering, making-me-cry angst. The ending broke me for good but that was perfect. I am not sure I was overwhelmed with happiness or sadness.

Rachel Van Dyken has woven an intricate web of fantastic characters, amazing story lines and intense emotions in Stealing Her. This story stole my heart for sure!

Stealing her was my first full story that I’ve read by the author to my shame although most of my bookish friends have read her and recommended her books.
This story is definitely not what I was expecting and it made me think of a movie that I’ve watched many years ago as in the twin switching life.
The writing was great indeed and made me read it in one sitting. I enjoyed the characters and wanted to smack them at times as well as wanted to hug them.
Now, there are things that I can’t get over because although it’s fiction, I always look for reliable stories or moments in my books and here, there’s one particular thing that bugs me more than anything. I won’t say anything as don’t want to give spoilers but I can’t get over the thing that Julian didn’t fight back more for his life. I do want to read his story asap because I think it’s going to be crazy heartbreaking and angsty, or at least I hope so because I love a broken hero.

Bridge and Julian are identical twins. Bridge is the strong, self assured one and Julian is the more sensitive, contemplative one. Bridge always protected Julian until the family split when they were in middle school and the boys painfully lost contact.

Fast forward to adulthood. The boys are now men still with no contact, leading very different lives. Julian is now the strong one helping his father run a billion dollar business and engaged to be married. Bridge is working three mediocre jobs to provide for his mother and has no social life. Everything changes when Julian has an accident and Bridge is asked to step in for the good of their fathers company.

An intriguing story full of deception, family loyalty, hostility, betrayal and sexual angst. A fascinating storyline I have not read before and thoroughly enjoy. I enjoyed and recommend this book.

This romance was one that has a plot line that can be difficult for some. This story is based around 1 brother trying to steal the girl from the other. Julian is a total dick, which is why at the beginning of this book, which is why Isobel breaks up with Julian. After a car accident in which Julian is injured, his brother Bridge comes back to town, and Isobel feels lost. Isobel mistakes Bridge with Julian, and that is how their interactions begin.
This story also features a very driven father who will stop at nothing.
All in all, this one was not my favorite. The writing was ok, but some of the plot choices werent my favorite. This may be a great one for you, but its a miss for me.

I was expecting more from the book to be honest. Preferably something that didn't include our heroine been in love with the hero's brother, sleeping with him and almost marrying him. Also, something that included an intelligent heroine and not one who ignored all the signs that pointed out that her fiance was not her fiance after all.

4.5+ stars
This book's blurb had me from "twins" and I was immediately sucked into this world.

Twin brothers that shared a bond: Bridge was always the bigger, stronger, protective brother, and Julian was the one who always needed protection and was searching for approval. But one day in their early teens, they are split apart by their parents. Julian was chosen to stay with his wealthy, controlling father and be groomed to run the family business, while Bridge was sent off with his mother to lead a much harder life.

As adults, they have no contact. Bridge is resentful as he struggles to work and take care of his mom. Julian seems to have everything he ever wanted. including the perfect fiancee'. And one tragic event changes everything and their worlds are colliding again. Bridge is enlisted by his estranged father to impersonate his brother and smoothe things over at the company until Julian can recover.

But now Bridge is walking into his brother's life and relationship. And he finds Izzy to be a wounded bird who is also angry and distrustful. It seems Julian has pushed to her to almost the point of no return. But she begins to respond to this improved version of "Julian" while Bridge does his best to resist. He struggles under the weight of the lies he is being forced to tell. But it is just a matter of time before sexual tension boils over things get even more complicated.

Secrets, lies, lust, love, betrayal, manipulation, greed, and heartbreak cause layers of guilt and fear of consequences. They know they are on borrowed time.

Eventually, secrets will be revealed and the whole messy situation will all come out in the open. There are many variables and layers to the truth. Someone is bound to get hurt. And the instigator of it all is their cold, manipulative father. This book brings the angst, and had me biting my fingernails, totally tense, and just waiting for the big moments I knew were coming. For much of the book, I could not let myself get emotionally attached to Julian because I really loved Bridge. So I was wanting Bridge and Izzy to keep progressing and for them to have a way to find their happiness in the midst of the mess. But I did feel bad for Julian at times as well.

I am not a person that usually enjoys books about love triangles, but this one is different and was carefully constructed to avoid things that might bother some readers. I appreciated how things were handled. This book does not end on a cliffhanger and is a complete story for the couple, but I cannot wait to see more with these characters in book two of the Covet series.

I enjoy everything Rachel Van Dyken writes. She creates real characters who I'd want to be friends with. They have great chemistry, banter and humor. The humor was missing in this book a bit, but I still was sucked in.
Bridge must pose as his twin brother Julian, who has been in a serious car accident, to help his ill mother get the care that she needs. He's basically blackmailed by his terrible father to be Julian until the real Julian can heal in the hospital. Julian and Bridge separated when their parents divorced and Bridge lived with his mother. They haven't been in each other's lives in years.

Isobel is Julian's long-time girlfriend/fiancée. She broke up with him on the day of the accident as Julian has been cheating on her. Bridge steps in as Julian and Isobel is to believe he is Julian, but he is nicer and treats her a lot better. It was a little farfetched as Bridge is more muscular and has some tattoos. I had a little bit of a hard time with her actually falling for this scheme, but I kept telling myself she knows nothing about a twin brother. The author would throw in little hints like Isobel noticing that Bridge's hands were calloused and I thought that she would figure it out soon, but nope.
Per Bridge and Julian's awful father, "Julian" and Isobel are to get married in a week. This had me shaking my head. Would the marriage even be legal as he is posing as his brother? I was still wondering when it actually happened, even though she knew it wasn't really Julian by then.

Overall, another great story. Bridge was a wonderful hero and just an all around great man. Just a little unbelievable and missing some trademark humor. I still was sucked in and read it in one day.

This book centers around two brothers Julian and Bridge. Julian craves his father's (Mr. Tennyson's) approval, however Bridge is determined to protect him from his father's controlling ways. When their mother has decided she has enough, they divorce with the father taking Julian and leaving the mother and Bridge alone with nothing of their luxurious lifestyle they are used to.

Fast forward many years. Julian is now working 2-3 jobs to support his sick mother. His brother is living the life his father has always imagined for him. He is slated to become the CEO of his financial firm until tragedy strikes. Julian's fiancee Isobel wants to end their engagement and Julian is in a horrible accident leaving him in a coma.

Mr. Tennyson tracks Bridge down and offers him a deal he can't refuse. I wants him to pose as his brother Julian because his company is in the mist of a major buyout and naming Julian CEO. In return, he will pay all the medical expenses for his mother. Bridge isn't happy to be under his father's manipulative thumb, but he loves his mom too much too pass on this opportunity. It isn't until he meets Isobel, under the disguise that he realizes how he failed to protect his brother and that now more than anything he wants to steal his fiancee.

This is an extremely quick read. I started it late at night and stayed up until I was done. This book tugged on my heart strings and made me shed a couple tears. A difficult situation but a chance at love. The realization that you can't make everyone happy. Would you be willingly to give it all up and walk away or would you fight for what has now become the most important person in your life?

I struggled with this one a bit. There were parts that I really loved but the fact that it was built on this huge lie just made me so nervous and squirmy that I had a hard time enjoying it. There was so much build up and once we finally got to the good stuff it just seemed like too little, too late. Plus, then the end was just so rushed and seemed really thrown together. I did enjoy some of the banter and flirting between Bridge and Izzy but like I said, too little, too late. That being said, I am kind of interested to see where Julian’s story goes...

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc!

Omg this book… I’ve literally never read anything like it before! I want to start off by saying that I was so skeptical from reading the synopsis. I had it in my head that Julian and Izzy were happy and in love and then his brother came along and was basically a home wrecker. THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL! I don’t consider this a spoiler because right from the get go Izzy is calling off the engagement anyway and as the story unfolds you learn about a ton of other issues they were having, but you’ll have to read the book to get the full scoop on that! So, from that moment it all made more sense to me and I was captivated!!! Bridge is literally the sweetest most caring and genuine guy! The world needs more men like him, for real. I love how his whole mission is to do right by his brother but also heal the heart that, that same brother has broken.
And lets talk about their super shady father for a minute.. what an asshole! It’s crazy what money and power can do to a person. Will he get whats coming to him?
Stealing Her ends on a half cliffhanger id say. Bridge and Izzy’s story comes full circle and they do get a HEA but theres more in the works where the company and their family is concerned. Plus were obviously all wanting to know whats going to become of Julian who just got his entire world upended! Its the perfect mix of closure but also leaves you wanting more. I absolutely cannot wait until February when well get to read Julians story!!!
Way to go RVD, another amazing book that I will surely never forget!! You kill it every time!!

I wasn’t sure how Rachel was going to pull this off, because it’s not an easy situation. But, she knocked it out of the park (as usual). The story didn’t go in all of the expected ways, but it definitely went the way it should have. Bridge and Izzy are just the best, and Julian...well, I won’t spoil anything but I can’t wait for his book!
