Family promises, dramas and long held grudges all come together in this romantic story. Based around animals, breeding and ranching life, where certain accidents have happened and the true culprit is caught out.
The two lovers meet, are attracted and fall in love, ignoring family hostility, that is then overcome by other more dangerous circumstances.
With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story.
Caitlin promised her mother, on her death bed, that she would keep her younger brother safe. The only problem being that he wants to be a bull rider and Caitlin is terrified of bulls after her mother's accident. So she enlists the help of the best, Bodie Hadley. The one family that has been feuding with her own since forever. He is currently recovering from a severe injury from the same accident that cost her cousin his life. He agrees to help her by teaching her brother to ride and her to be his wing man as a way to keep them both safe. The chemistry between them is off the charts. They fight the attraction because of their families. Will they risk it all and take a chance on love? Great read!
The Bull Rider's Second Chance, book #1 of the Rodeo Romeos series by Leah Vale.
Two fudeing families that were hurt even more by a tragic accident. Brodie was badly injured in a rodeo arena where Caitlin’s cousin tragically lost his life and Brodi is to blame. Brodie is tortured mentally by what happened at his last bull ride. He is constantly reminded by his scars both physically and emotionally. Catlin must face her fear after she made a promise to her mom on her death bed to protect her younger brother. An now she asking Brodie for help. But there is also someone who is targeting Caitlin, they must find out who it is before something tragic happens. Can they overcome the family's past and find love? I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. I would defiantly recommend to anyone who loves a good romance, cowboys and rodeo.

The Bull Rider's Second Chance by Leah Vale was a very well written story.
Caitlin promised her mother, on her death bed, that she would keep her younger brother safe. It was not going to be an easy task, as he wants to be a Bull rider. Caitlin doesn't know enough about it so she asked for help from the most unlikely source. The families have been fighting for years, but he is the one that can help with her brother.
The chemistry between them is off the charts hot & Sexy!! But it is not something either of them want to face or deal with. They both fight the attraction, until they can't anymore.
Hot and sexy story with a easy to follow story line that will keep you turning the pages!

The Bull Rider's Second Chance, Rodeo Romeos book one, by Leah Vale is an excellent well-written story. I read a lot of books; many of them romances, many of them cowboy romances. I have grown weary of the repeated plot lines in the rodeo setting stories. I thought this would be the same; playboy bull rider who changes after meeting the right woman. It is not. This book is different. This book is unique. And this book caught my attention, holding it until the very end.
This is a story that transcends the setting. It is a story of forgiveness, especially in forgiving oneself. It is a story of the sad side of family grudges and hatred. It is also a story of recovery, becoming better, becoming more than you thought was possible. It is also a story of attraction leading to love after the characters learn to appreciate the strong positive qualities of each other. Besides the romance there is an element of danger and suspense in the book. It is not from the bulls either, for the characters know what they are up against with them.
Bodie is a gruff, tortured, and bitter man. However, it is not because of what happened to him but because of what he feels he caused to happen to others. I wanted him to find peace for his soul and some measure of happiness in his life. Certainly Caitlin’s family did not want any of that for him. As for Caitlin, she is a ray of sunshine anytime she appears in the story. I loved this young woman, so Bodie didn’t stand a chance against her.
For a unique, amazing cowboy romance, I can recommend The Bull Rider's Second Chance.
My first time reading a book by Leah but I loved it and will be back for more definitely. This is a thoroughly entertaining read full of passion, romance, chemistry, little bit of action and danger and a great couple of lead characters you care about. Cowboys and romance, do I need to say more, go pick this up.
THE BULL RIDER’S SECOND CHANCE begins the Rodeo Romeos series by Leah Vale. Every feud between families has a beginning… and then it simply grows from there with different opinions tossed in until who knows where the truth really lies. The simple fact is that Brodie was badly injured in a rodeo arena where Caitlin’s cousin lost his life. Two sides to every situation are normal, yet these families are about to be brought together through fulfilling Caitlin’s promise to her mom – and someone out to stop that from happening.
I enjoyed Brodie and Caitlin, both individually and together. Brodie is tortured mentally by what happened at his last bull ride. He’s never forgotten, his scars both physically and emotionally certainly won’t let him forget. Caitlin is strong-willed, brave even when faced with one of her greatest fears. She’s a fierce protector and defender of those she holds close to her heart – and, in time, that will include Brodie as well.
There is a bit of world-building, there has to be in the first story of a series, but it wasn’t the least bit overwhelming. There is also a mystery as to who or why Caitlin is being targeted. I enjoyed watching barriers fall, two people fighting their personal fears, and discovering that love knows no boundaries or family feuds.
If you love to get in at the beginning of a new series, enjoy the rodeo scene, love a good cowboy romance, and enjoy watching a couple fall in love in spite of themselves then you’ll want to pick up a copy of THE BULL RIDER’S SECOND CHANCE. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next story in the Rodeo Romeos series.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Book #1 of the Rodeo Romeos puts this series off to great start and I will be watching for the following books.
The characters of Caitlin and Bodie or well written, and easy to care about.
The little element of danger keep me turning the pages. Plus I love how much the past effected all going on in the present, kudos to how that was written in.

There is history between there two families so is there any chance for a future between Caitlin Neisson and Bodie Hadley. Caitlin's younger brother Alec wants to be a bull rider and the only way that is safe is if he is taught properly all the family promise that they will train him but that is as far as it gets Caitlin knows that she is running out of time so she enlists the help of Brodie. He was once a world champion bull rider that is until a rogue bull almost killed and him and killed the bull fighter who was in the arena as well and that bull fighter was Caitlin's cousin something her family has never forgiven and which just adds to the dramas between their families. Brodie lives with the guilt of that death every day and has never been able to move on in fact it has turned him into a surly one night stand kind of a guy. He may have made a new life for himself supplying the kind of bulls that almost killed him but is he ready to move on socially As he helps Alec and Caitlin someone is determined to stop them and has Caitlin in their cross hairs will he be able to keep her safe and in the process will he learn that love is the most powerful tool of all.
A promising start to the Rodeo Romeos, The Bull Rider's Second Chance, is well paced, well delivered romance. I enjoyed the characters and the story and will look to read more by this author.
The Bull Rider's Second Chance is the first book of Leah Vale’s Rodeo Romeos series and centres on a physically and emotionally scarred hero, burdened with guilt and his lack of self-worth. I was impressed with the author’s writing style and the easy flow of the story and the development of the characters and their relationships. There was some mystery, plenty of family angst, and an undeniable chemistry between Bodie and Caitlyn from the very beginning. As this is my first book by this author, I’m happy to say I’d be looking forward to more.
Enjoyed it
This is my first book by Leah Vale.

HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
I liked that this was a second chance romance. I was so invested in this book I could not wait to turn each page. This author had so much detail and I did not want to miss a thing.
This was an enjoyable read and I liked the characters, but it felt a little rushed at the end. When they caught the 'bad guy' he suddenly owned up to everything and spewed out lots of information like he had verbal diarrhoea.
And the long running family feud was explained towards the end, but it was a feeble excuse and then suddenly the feud was over. Enjoyed the first 2/3 of the book but then felt that it lost it's way.
3-3.5*
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley!
I'm going to start this off by saying Leah Vale is a talented author for sure. This book was such a great, easy read for me. The characters were well-developed and easy to like and relate to. I can't wait to read more.
A bitter, even sour, tortured hero, who sees himself as damaged goods after a close encounter with a raging bull, finds redemption by helping a determined heroine, involved in a mission to protect her youngest brother.
Bodie as the broken, scarred hero, embarrassed, even ashamed of his scars, the guy with the reputation of a Don Juan who yet has sworn off romance, the “bad guy” who is, after all, a fairly decent person, is a delight to read.
Caitlin’s compassion and understanding is the catalyst to begin the healing of the wounded hero.
The tension in the beginning of the story, the slow unveiling of Bodie’s fractured soul is superbly written.
I liked the vivid depiction of the bull riding world, how bulls were portrayed and Bodie’s know-how about them (tame Bit O’Honey was a refreshing surprise).
I also liked that our hero successfully transitioned from being a “top-twenty-ranked bull rider” to a stock contractor with his own bulls.
I felt that the romance was a bit rushed and the rivalry between the two families somewhat far-fetched.
This is a cute book with a cute story. It has great characters and lots of tension with romance and love.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
3 Stars
What do you do when your younger brother has decided to become a bull rider. Well, in order to protect him as best you can, you suck up your pride and ask the one person you shouldn't. Bodie Hadley
Yup, that Bodie Hadley, the one from the family you have been feuding with for generations. He is the one person who can guide her brother and her so she will pull up her big girl panties and hire him.
This Tule Publication follows the style they are known for...strong men, women, and love.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
It took me a bit to really get into this book as it seemed kind of silly for Caitlin to want to all of a sudden take on a dangerous job and not talk to her family about her brother wanting to become a bull rider. After the attempts on her life, the story really got more interesting and the added drama kept me reading to the end.
Caitlin's brothers seemed kind of like bullies and what was going on with Ian was never fully explained. I don't know if he will have his own book and we will then learn about him but if not, I feel kind of cheated! I am glad that we find out more about the two past events and that all was not known about what happened.
Nice HEA but it was too quick - wish there was a bit more as I really liked Bodie and Caitlin together!
