Leah Vale has created in The Bull Rider’s Second Chance a story with remarkable realism in its multidimensional/faceted characters, along with a fast paced, intriguing plot that kept the pages turning at a rapid pace. With the author’s intricately descriptive and crafted writing, I was transported into the eye of the story. At times, I could very well have been standing directly in the scene witnessing it unfold in realtime, that’s how finely crafted the writing was. I’m genuinely looking forward to the next installment of the series.

Overall I really liked this one. Caitlin faces her fears of bulls by trying to become a bullfighter. She wants to protect her little brother who wants to ride them in the rodeo. Then there is Bodie, a hunky ex-bullrider, who is perfect to teach them both. Trouble is, there is animosity between the families, and when Bodie was gored years ago, Caitlin's cousin died in the arena. A good story, with lots of mystery too, as someone is trying to hurt someone, but whether it was Caitlin, Bodie or someone else as the target is unknown. The only thing I didn't care much for was the bad guy giving a long speech at the end. Didn't seem the type. Also, didn't really see any teaching of Caitlin. Otherwise, I highly recommend this book and author. Hard to put down.
The story of Caitlin and Bodie. From rival families, but now she needs his help.
I didn't understand how they could have grown up so close toeach other, and with the rest of their famileis knowing each other, yet they had never met before.
The Bull Rider's Second Chance by Leah Vale a new to me author. This book has great character development perfect for the storyline and dialogue that pulled me in from the first chapter. I look forward to reading more by this author.
