I am a sucker for adventure and I was immediately drawn into Heart of Bastion. I read it "cover to cover" in one sitting. Fantasy? Sucker for it. Adventure? Sucker for it. Amazing protagonist? SUCKER FOR IT. Susan Faw is my new favorite author and her writing was interesting and easy. You didn't have to think too hard about it. You just read it and felt it. Those are my kind of books.

This one will hit your soul and it's something you'll reach for again.

I hadn't read anything from the author before but I really enjoyed reading this book, I don't think that fact hindered my enjoyment of the book, in fact I look forward to reading the previous novels i missed.
