Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.
This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.
I tried but I just couldn’t get into the story and unfortunately I couldn’t relate to any of the characters either. I so wanted to like this book because the concept seemed exciting but it just fell short of the mark.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sapere Books for my copy,
A well written story with plenty of twists to keep the reader on their toes. Overall an enjoyable read.
The Prophecy is a unique and interesting book. The book is well written and the characters are well developed.
What a novel concept! I loved this book and was gripped from the beginning. felt. It is very well written, with good character development and a plot that unfolds seamlessly. It's not predictable, and I was constantly on edge, wondering what would happen next, and who was actually responsible for the terror attacks.
My thanks to NetGalley and Sapere Publishers for the opportunity to read this book.
A well written story but not my cup of tea. I appreciated the style of writing but couldn't connect to the characters and the book didn't keep my attention.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
This was an interesting book yet I fall short on the politics. I mainly concentrated on Sam and his London contact, Adel. Reading through, I realized that Sam's book for-told WW3 or either complete non-involvement of the Western World to a war in a limited area.
Sam wrote a book that predicts what will happen in the Mid East. The book and anything left of it is stolen in a rather frightening way. As the actions in the "real world" begin to mirror those of the book, Sam becomes a target for anyone involved in international politics. He is forced to go on the run and trust NO ONE.
A superb story that kept me guessing until the last page.
Many Thanks to Sapere Books and NetGalley for a great -, provocative, read.
