Love the Hockey Romances and this one did not disappoint. My first time reading this author but it will not be my last. Love the characters and their banter and chemistry.

A quick enjoyable read. This book is well paced and has plenty of heat. I found Camille a bit cliched but still sympathetic.. While it can be read as a stand alone it did get a little difficult to keep track of all the teammates and family members who were probably introduced in earlier stories.

Look, I love hockey romances. I love alpha heroes with their abs on the cover and all that stuff. I couldn't get into Ice Hard. I didn't like Nick's voice and had a hard time wanting the heroine to end up with him.

This couple was great together, and it was easy to get behind this romance. Until it wasn't. The story was maybe a little drawn out in the middle, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me, especially since I liked the couple. Then things started going downhill. The family drama in the last third or so of the book just didn't feel necessary. Cami had enough issues to work through, and the whole scene with her family felt like drama for the sake of drama. That's the point when the relationship started going downhill. Cami lost something, at least for me. The relationship angst comes from Cami's decisions, and since I'm trying not to give spoilers, I'll just say that her explanation to Nick was probably one of my least favorites in romance. The result was that I spent the rest of the book, which should've been all about the making up and happy ever after, just wishing Nick would walk away. In the end, what started as an engaging romance wound up being just an okay read for me.

As a professional hockey player, Nick has never had a problem having one-night stands. But after seeing his best friend and teammate settle down and get engaged, Nick starts to think he might want something more too. He meets Cami and thinks he might like to try and have more with her, but there's a catch. Cami won't date hockey players. Nick convinces her to go to his best friends wedding with him, but will he be able to convince her to see him after that?
This is the first book I've read by Tracy Goodwin but I'll definitely be reading more. I really enjoyed the characters and even the side characters were so well written that I got mad on Cami's behalf while reading the book. #IceHard #NetGalley

My name is Nick George and I’m a hockey player for the New York Nighthawks. Women tell me I’m a catch and I could have a different one in my bed every night, but I’ve gotten tired of the puck bunnies and the meaningless sex. When I meet Camille Benetti, she’s totally different than the girls I meet. First of all she’s not interested in dating hockey players and won’t give me the time of day. But I am tenacious and I will prove to her that I’m different.
One thing Camille can say about Nick, he is persistent. No matter what I say, he doesn’t give up on me. Then he asks me for a favor. His best friend and fellow hockey teammate is getting married and he wants me to go as his date. What Nick doesn’t know is that I was hurt by a hockey player that I was in love with years ago, which is the reason of my rule not to date them. Now that I’ve agreed to go as Nick’s date, I know it will be harder to say no to him. Can I trust another hockey player again?

I love a good hockey romance, especially one that actually has hockey in it. Hockey stud Nick George has a great career, but he is ready to settle down after his best friend recently got engaged and is expecting a baby. He joins a dating app, but it isn't really going anywhere until he meets Camille at her family's restaurant. Camille was married to a hockey player before and he broke her heart, so she initially rejects Nick's advances. But then she realizes that Nick is a nice guy and they start to have a relationship. At that point Nick is all in and becomes a little too good to be true. Not that I expected him to be a jerk, but it became a little unbelievable. There is other drama with Camille with her family that works itself out in the end.

unfortunately, I was unable to read this. I'm not sure what it was, but something about it did not resonate.

I really wanted to like Ice Hard but I just couldn’t get in to the characters of Nick and Camille. The relationship just seemed forced, no real chemistry between the characters.

Action packed, sexy, fun and highly entertaining romantic journey filled with exciting charters, fun witty banter, emotional turns and thrilling passion...... was a great read from beginning to end. Really loved this fun and exciting adventure. Great reading!

Ice Hard is a great sports romance that will keep you entertained throughout the entire book! I really enjoyed it.

Nick is such a refreshing male leading character - a professional league hockey player who is smart, kind, honest, sincere, not a player...really a perfect guy!
Camille begins as the stereotypical “I don’t date (fill-in-the-blank sport) professional athletes because I’ve been hurt by one in a relationship before” type of character. But as the story progresses, we see that Cali has been effected by many more issues than that. There’s a lot of challenges for her: family issues, career decisions and a past she is still dealing with. (Avoiding spoilers here!).
And yet through it all, there’s Nick. Strong, dependable, and genuinely unwavering.
A great story - very touching!

Goodwin has me rethinking my stand on sports romance. Ice Hard takes the drama off the ice and into the real world. Cami and Nick have quite a bit to learn when it comes to matters of the heart. The player is about to get played and with a little help from fate, maybe find his perfect match. Ice Hard is a tidal wave of emotion. From the humorous dialogue to the heated tension and the battle weary drama, Ice Hard proves itself to be a triple threat. Author, characters and story score gold in the heart of this romantic.

I struggled to get into this book but once I did I enjoyed it. Nick was a good guy which is refreshing to read in the the hockey romance genre. Cami was hurt by her ex and didn't trust herself to get into a relationship. I liked her character a lot and identified with her. I would read this author again.

This was a good story, albeit a little predictable. There was just the right amount of spice for me. The character development worked well, so I felt like I knew Nick and Camille and felt comfortable with their characters. I did not read the first book in this series, but I did not feel at all lost, or like I had missed something, so it works well as a stand alone as well as being part of a series.
I don't want to give any spoilers, so I won't be specific, but there was a point toward the end where I got a little bored and fed up with the MC's hangups, which along with the predictability, is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. Overall, it was a nice read and I enjoyed it. Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Ice Hard definitely packs in the steaminess, mix in that the hero is a bit of an alpha, yet sweet and kind. Makes Nick, a rather unique and intriguing character.
I truly enjoyed this read, normally I’m used to the hero being the one with commitment issues, but it was the heroine this time. She’s holding quite a few insecurities that stem from a previous relationship, but there’s also another reason that’s much more heartbreaking.
I honestly couldn’t handle how adamant Camille was about not having a relationship with Nick, even when they’re absolutely perfect for one another. Nick gets all the points for how patient and persistent he was with Camille, plus this guy knows how to make you swoon for days.
There’s a lot different elements in Ice Hard, loved the playful banter between them, also that they could reach other like a book, it was like looking into each other’s soul. I loved that Tracy touched on an issue that so many women could relate to.
My one huge dislike was Camille’s family, after everything she’s repeatedly done for them. They show zero appreciation towards her, what they’ve done was nearly unforgivable.
This one is definitely my favorite in the series and I’m hoping to see more of Nick and Camille in books to come.

3.5 stars
Ice Hard is the second book in the New York Nighthawks series by Tracy Goodwin. The main characters of the first book appear quite often in this one, but each book is a stand-alone and features a different couple.
The main characters are Nick a hockey player and Cami who does not date hockey players because her ex-husband is one and ended up cheating on her. There is more to Cami's past, but I am gonna leave you to find out about it by yourselves.
My overall experience with the book was neither hot or cold. I liked some parts, while others not so much. Nick's teammates were fun to have around. Nick himself was a good man who cared about everyone and went for what he wanted.
What I disliked the most in this book was Cami. I couldn't understand her character. I also couldn't understand why she seemed to think that her father was not approving of her when in reality things were way different. He didn't seem like a man who didn't care. Cami for the whole book was the one who kept insisting that her relationship with Nick would end sooner rather than later and she was the one who was always pushing away. It was annoying and she should have been the one doing the groveling.
Overall, the book had some good and some bad moments, so I will remain neutral on the recommendation.

Ice Hard was a fun romance with a satisfying HEA. Nick is a swoony hockey player who has two personas. He has his "hockey persona" as the alpha male dominating player on the ice who takes no crap. Then he also has the sensitive side that opens himself up to Cami I search of the connection and relationship that his best friend has found with his wife. Cami has been through a bad relationship with her ex-husband who unfortunately was also a hockey player but not a loyal one. Nick has to prove himself to Cami and be sure she knows he is NOTHING like her ex.
To make things even more complicated, Cami is dealing with drama within her family. This may push her into leaving town in search of other job opportunities and a fresh start. The only thing holding her back is her fledgling relationship with Nick but she's unsure of where it's really heading.
I loved this book. Nick really was a great character. Who doesn't love an alpha male who can still be caring and loving?! He was the ultimate! I look forward to reading more by Tracy Goodwin!

Ice Hard is a heartwarming story. Nick realizes he wants what his friend has; a meaningful relatioship, at his friends wedding. When he meets Camille, he believes he has found the right woman. All he really wants is someone whom he can be himself around. Camille had things happen in her past that hurt her confidence. This couple have great chemistry and a lot in common. Their sarcastic personalities and love of music were great to read. They have emotional obstacles to overcome. I like how the characters grew throughout the story.
Ice Hard is well-written and easy to read, and it might be my favorite in the sereies so far.. It is a great addition to the New York Nighthawks series. It has a good plot, interesting twists, family drama, and entertaining hockey scenes with Cami’s ex. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I enjoy hockey books, and this one did not disappoint! I loved the characters, the underlying reason for Cami to not want to get involved with anyone, Nick’s reactions to everything…SCORE!
There were deep, emotional moments, extremely hot moments, a great storyline, and the characters were great! This is the second book in the New York Nighthawks hockey series written by romance author Tracy Goodwin. I would recommend reading book 1 first, but it isn’t absolutely necessary. The characters do move forward into this one, though. It is a quicker dual person POV read. I really liked this one and would give it 4.5 stars (rounding up to 5)
