this was a great start to a series, I really liked Perley Gates. It had what I was looking for in a western novel and I look forward to more in the series.

My thoughts

Would I recommend it? yes

Would I read more of this series ? yes, in fact thanks to Netgalley I'm reading this series in order and I have book 4 to read and review since I've already read books 1-3.

Would I read more by this author? A BIG yes , because every time I see NetGalley has their books I pick them up to read .No matter how bad of a day I have their books and stories are my go to books because I know I can get lost in them and I can set back and enjoy the story as well as their characters. This is one of those series that I'm enjoying because of the character Perley Gates and the trouble he seems to find no matter what . With that said I want to thank NetGalley for letting me read and review it .

The third installment from the Perley Gates Western series, Bullets Don't Argue, was a great read. It is getting five stars from me.

Any Western with the name Johnstone attached is going to be a great read. Guaranteed. Add in Perley Gates, one of the more original Johnstone heroes and it's going to be a very entertaining read too. This saga finds our hero on a cattle drive, minding his own business, when someone asks for help. That's Perley's cue to find trouble following him. As always, characters are genuine, set in a true to life back stories that will keep you reading and rooting for the good guys as they work their way through the many, many problems life throws their way. The Johnstone books are all interconnected, you'll find characters from one saga joining the cast in the other sagas. This really adds to the enjoyment you get from the books. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but why limit yourself? For a great Western adventure, pick up any of the Johnstone books. I have yet to read any of their Westerns that I did not consider a 5 star book.

Perley Gates isn't your typical western hero. He is modest and don't like to show off. But he helps people when in need and he is fast with a sixgun, really fast. This is almost a cozy western, it's humorous and there is still action and gunplay. I really like this new series from #Kensington and thanks to #Netgalley I was able to enjoy my self for a couple of hours.
