Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and engaging romantic journey filled with exciting charters, fun witty banter, emotional twists and undeniable passion...... was a great read from beginning to end. Loving this group of brothers and their new found turn in life. Loved it!
Finn turned out to be an OK read for me, I truly wanted to love this one. Families in books tend to be my favorites because that means more stories and there's usually plenty of awesome banter between the family members. I normally don't mind an insta-love, but I think it happened way too quick for Finn. And just his whole notion of how he quickly fell in love with her before they were technically together.
To me, Brooke was more realistic about everything. At times I didn't quite understand her hang-ups about being with someone since Finn showed her many times how much he ultimately cared for her. Despite his insta-love madness, his genuine character is what I liked the most about him.
The military veteran project; I was dying to know more about that and was hoping for a more emotional connection with it. I did like that Melody shared Brooke and Finn's story about their military life.
I really wanted to love this one, but it didn't quite work for me. However, Melody sets up the story for the next book, which I definitely looking forward to reading.
4 stars
Finn by Melody Anne is an enjoyable read.
I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Finn and Brooke, they had great chemistry and both were likable/entertaining characters.
Overall, Finn is a lovely start to the Anderson Billionaires series.
*Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the advance copy,*
The Anderson's are back!! I't a little silly how excited I was to read this book. The first book I read by Melody Anne began with the introduction of Joseph Anderson just like Finn's book, but now Joseph is bringing some of his extended family on line in the form of Finn and his brothers. I love it!!
Finn and Brook's story was everything I hoped it would be and more. The Anderson books have always had a strong family feel and this one continued with that, but it also had some spice to it (sexy wild spice)
You had me at JOSEPH ANDERSON!! J.A. is someone I'd love to meet in really life!
Finn Anderson is from a brood of brothers that just discovered they are a part of THOSE Andersons. Not wanting anything to do with his father's side, Finn is reluctant to Joseph and his proposal, but for the sake of his brothers goes along. Thank goodness he did! He's immediately walloped when he encounters Brooke Garrison-hot, ex-military nurse practitioner. Finn knows immediately that Brooke is the one, Brooke not so much. She has walls built sky high and not ready to lower them. So what's a guy going to do? Right, Finn decides to scale the walls of her heart and steadily tear them down.
This was a quick, sweet read. Good foundation for a new series.
I haven't read any other Melody Anne books so wasn't sure what to expect. Good character building, realistic romance timeline and a really enjoyable read. I may pick up other books by this author.
Finn and Brooke met when he was giving self defence classes and Brooke asked him if he was qualified, he said that he would show her but to his surprise Brooke took Finn to the floor. Finn fell instantly in love with her even though he didn't believe in that type of thing before but she was harder to convince as her brother had been killed recently while serving his country and she couldn't think about anything else. Finn and Brooke had a long way to go but will it be a happy ending. I have read every single book that Melody has written, she is an incredible author and a talented writer. This book took me into the story right from page one and I couldn't turn the page's fast enough to see what challenges met this couple. The Anderson's have become my favourite series and each book is so addictive. I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by Melody and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Oh it’s so good to read about Joseph Anderson again. I have waited to long to read about his family and matchmaking antics and boy I wasn’t disappointed in this book. Finn is one of 5 brothers with crew, Noah, Brandon and Hudson. Reeling at the fact they are related to THE Anderson’s and his mom was married to Joseph’s uncle. After his mother passes he is still trying to come to terms with his injuries suffered in the line of duty as a Navy SEAL. Brooke is heartbroken at losing her brother whilst in the line of duty. As an ex military person herself she knows how painful it can be. All alone in the world she has to navigate her life with her best friends. We are shown glimpses of Brooke and Finn’s lives as they tip toe around a sort of relationship. Trust issues, guilt, a friends rush to hospital and a surprise are all in order. It was so fantastic to read about new characters but also read about characters we all know and love and have a catch up. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I have read all the previous books in Melody's Billionaire series about the Anderson family, this one is the start of a new set of stories about a newly found branch of the Anderson family who suddenly find themselves billionaires.
Finn is a war veteran who was injured and now has to make himself a new life at home. Brooke is a nurse practitioner in the same small town who is still grieving the loss of her brother. As soon as they meet sparks fly between them. Finn knows that Brooke is the woman he is going to marry. Although Brooke finds herself attracted to him she is not sure that she is ready for more.
In this story Finn is, determined to get the girl no matter what, even if it means that he has to go to great lengths to win her, while Brooke is fighting her attraction to him every inch of the way. While the love story is playing out, Finn and his brothers are trying to wrap their heads around suddenly being wealthy and part of a large family. Finn's biggest problem is accepting what family Patriarch is offering him, namely wealth and a future as he has always had to work for everything before.
It was a great start to a new series, though I did think that the love story it dragged on a little in the middle where it seemed that there was lots of hot sex going on and feelings being shared but Brooke's refusal to admit that her future lay with Finn got a bit annoying. Luckily there was some drama to brighten things up.
It is worth the read to get yourself acquainted with this branch of the family as there are sure to be more stories about these five brothers.
It had been three months since the bomb had ended Finn’s military career and he was dealing with the repercussions of the incident. For a man of action having any limiting whatsoever was something very hard for him to swallow. He went to the hall he been summoned too but he was happy to see his brother Noah there. Noah said he didn’t know what this was about but he was told it was important. Brandon another of Finn’s brothers and the comedian of the family came in. Than Crew and Hudson walked in. All five brothers were there. Finn was the oldest brother. Than Joseph Anderson filled the door of the conference room. The brothers wondered what the man who was basically royalty wanted with them. He owned half of Seattle’s businesses, provided ten of thousands of jobs, donated ten of millions of dollars. Each year, and ran many charity organizations. On top of that he was a family man. There were rumors he meddled, but noone had anything bad to say about Joseph Anderson. Joseph told the men their father had been his uncle. He said he took them away and they weren’t able to find the brothers. He also said their mother had called him on her deathbed , apologizing and explaining it all to him. That meant they were his family. He said he had an inheritance for them . their mother didn’t have much, but her wishes for them was to have a family and a true start in life. He didn’t believe in just handing something over, it has to be earned. Money comes and goes but in the end family is their legacy. He added “You’re my family and i want to know you. So I’ve come up with a project that we can work together. That means we can get to know each other and I get five new additions to my already beautiful family. I know you might need some time to think about this and I'm okay with that as well. You’re Andersons which means you’re stubborn as hell, but it also means I know you’ll make the right decision.” He added he wasn’t going to pry right than. They could meet at his place in three days once they’d had time to process this. He said here’s the project and his address. He looked forward looked forward to speaking more to them. But it was all of them or none as it was a family project. Finn is sin shock. He thought they were all alone in the world. Finding he had a large family threw him for a loop. Even though their father had been a monster, their mother had raised them with values, integrity, and morality. Noah said Joseph didn’t need them in his life so maybe he did want to get to know them if he’s putting this much effort to come up with a project. The brothers reached for the files and opened them. If they had known the storm that was descending on them, they might have run from that room without ever laying a finger on the folders Joseph had given them. Being the eldest, Finn had the most memories of hsi deadbeat, alcoholic, selfish father who had abused his wife and children , and hadn’t known the meaning of the word love. Finn wasn’t sure he wanted to know this family and he didn’t trust Joseph Anderson. When they got to Joseph’s house he said he wanted to know why Joseph was doing this. He didn’t know them. He didn’t owe them anything. Why was he creating this massive [project that just so happened to fit all their careers? Joseph answered he believed in family. He also believed in hard work. He didn’t just pull the project out of the seat of his pants. It’s something very special to his katherine. When he discovered he had five nephews there was no one better for the job. Finn knew his brother wanted to do the project so he said okay, he thought they were up to the task. Brooke wasn’t your typical anything. She’d been called many things but never boring, never ordinary, and never girlie. She took pride in who she was, what she had accomplished and what she was still capable of achieving. She had grown up tough with her big brother Jack, who she had idolized. But she had just lost him in the military three months ago. She had fallen apart when the soldiers came to her door to tell her. But at least she knew he had been proud of her. Brooke was now lost. She wasn’t sure how to survive without her best friend, her coach, her family, her heart and soul. She wasn’t sure she wanted to be happy in a world where Jack didn’t exist anymore. Her town was small and she loved it. But if the rumors were true it was going to turn into a media circus. The Andersons had bought a huge parcel of land north of town and were beginning a massive project for veterans. She didn’t want the circus, but she was all for doing anything involving veterans. She was a veteran herself. There was no way she couldn’t be involved. Brooke stopped in the Martial Arts School and said she had to make sure her patients were being taught self defense correctly. Finn was there and the teacher and eh said he had seventeen years in the military. He said he would use her to show some self defense moves. Before he knew it she had him on the floor and though he reversed her hold he was completely surprised such a petite woman did that. He told his brothers later he was going to marry Brooke.
I enjoyed this book. Brooke and Finn had hot chemistry. I loved Brooke and Finn together and how they interacted. I really liked that Brooke helped Finn. I think they both were in insta/love at first not love, especially Finn. I loved how Joseph was rich but very much a humanitarian and really treasured family. He wanted his whole family in love start their own family. I loved the double POVs so you could know what both main characters were feeling when they were feeling it. My heart broke for Brooke losing her only family - her beloved brother. I loved Brooke had such a couple great friends since middle school. I really liked the plot and the pace. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.
I adore the Anderson family and all of the branches we’ve discovered so far… I say “so far” because Joseph Anderson always seems to keep finding more relatives to love and perhaps meddle in their non-existent love lives. Now we’re beginning the Anderson Billionaires series with FINN and I can tell you right now I’m hooked in this series for the long-haul.
Finn isn’t completely trusting of his new “uncle” Joseph, he’s learned the hard way at his no-good father’s knee that everyone has an angle you just have to figure it out. But so far Joseph is acting like any normal billionaire with a loving extended family and seems quite willing to bring Finn and his brothers into the fold by offering them jobs on the creation of the new veterans center project. While Finn might be slow to fall for Joseph and the family, that’s not the case when he first meets Brooke as she unexpectedly takes him down during a self-defense class. Instant attraction, yes, but it went deeper than that for Finn. Now he has to gently break through Brooke’s very sturdy walls around her heart to let her see that she can trust, even love a man who would no sooner hurt her than hurt himself.
I fell in love with Finn within the first chapter and Brooke not long after. She’s guarding her heart so tightly that when a man who can love her just as much if not more than she ever thought possible comes along she’s afraid to let him in. She has her reasons, she’s grieving the loss of her brother, the only steady love she’s known. Watching their non-dates, seeing Finn turn on the charm and Brooke slowly let him in was an emotional, enjoyable journey. I loved being back in this world and cannot wait for NOAH to release. I’m hooked on an Anderson series once again and would not hesitate to recommend this or any of the Anderson series to any Romance reader who loves a happy ever after ending that is hard-fought for but so worth it in the end… and one adorable, meddling older gentleman.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
This is my FAVORITE author and I'm so so happy to see that the Anderson family is back in action. Can't wait for the rest of the brothers to have their own stories.
Just when I think I've gotten out those Andersons reel me right back in. Impossible to ignore, hard to forget and always a delightful way to escape. Melody Anne is always introducing heartwarming stories into an unstoppable family. Love and family are something no heart can every grow tired of. Anne and her Anderson brood serves as a constant reminder that in a world full of heartbreak, love always finds a way to win. Finn is a MUST.
Finn is the gentleman you're mama warned you about! A story about two people that come from similar backgrounds, suffering from their own losses. Overall it was a cute story, especially with both of them overcoming their past and learning to live life again. Not one of my favorites from the author, but I'm looking forward to seeing future stories in this series!
So happy and excited that Melody has decided to continue with the Anderson series! After a difficult childhood that made him jaded and weary, Finn finds out that he is related to the infamous Anderson family and his life is changed forever thanks to Joseph’s continued meddling. Giving Finn and each of his brothers a project much like he gave the rest of his family, they all arrive in the town that Brooke lives in and start their projects that while they enjoy are reserved about. When Brooke and Finn meet in a comical fashion, Finn’s life is changed from that first meeting and from then on decides she is the one who he will spend the rest of his life with. Brooke on the other hand is the complete opposite and jaded from the life she has lived and the circumstances within her life in addition to the recent death of her brother. As Finn continues to peruse Brooke, she is adamant to not fall for his charms and become vulnerable within a relationship, but he is determined to not take no for an answer. While the premise of Finn and his determination to be with Brooke was a bit unconventional, I always enjoy Melody’s storylines and writing and this book was no exception. Can’t wait for the rest of the stories in this series as we get to know the other brothers!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Finn is the oldest of five brothers and has always been the one to look out for his younger siblings when their mother dies a secret comes out Their father was a member of the Anderson family and now Joseph Anderson and his wife have a proposition for the five boys. He wants them to work together to build a veteran centre he knows that the men aren't used to having family and are baulking at it especially Finn as the eldest but he will give them all the time they need to adjust. Meanwhile Finn meets Brook Garrison she is a Army whose brother was recently killed while in the military The moment Finn sees her he wants her and will do anything he has (pretending to be injured Really) Will she give him a chance or will she keep the walls around her heart You will have to read to see. As always it is Joseph and his interactions with his family that steals the show
Oh how I love the Anderson family and this new branch included. I think each one is my favorite until the next one comes along. Joseph once again uses his powerful presence to nudge Finn and Brooke along. Both confirmed single forever sure changed. When it's love, it's love! I loved the phrases from Friends, I loved that show. The reference to Ruth Cardello was a welcome surprise too. It's great to see authors that support each other. I wish this family well and can't wait to see each brother fall and I can't wait to see if Brookes besties become family. Well done once again Melody Anne. And with the service men and women getting recognition it means so much.
I just loved Finn! He was too perfect of a man to exist in real life, and he just made this story. I've only read one other book by this author so I didn't know any back story of the Andersons, but I was not lost at all. Joseph is a great secondary character that I feel like was a big part of the last series, and I look forward to more of him in the next books of this series. Brooke may get a bad review from some people, but I could totally relate to her. I was her to a lesser extreme, fear will do that, so I got her in a way some may not. But oh, once you give into the love.....
And my favorite part of a romance, the first I love you-I couldn't wipe the smile from my face-it was so good!
hen an injury ended Finn’s career, he finds himself trying to adjust to civilian life and what he wants for his future. Upon the passing of his mother Finn and his four brothers meet Joseph, and the family they never knew they had, but he is being cautious in case they are anything like his father. He has relocated to Seattle and is part of a project that will build a new facility for veterans as well as teaching self defense which is where he meets Brooke.
Brooke is is trying to deal from the passing of her brother, and only family, while he served overseas. She is alone except for her two best friends Chloe and Sarah and the relationship between them is fun to watch.
From the moment that they meet Brooke makes an impression on him and he knows that they are destined to be together. The only thing standing in their way is convincing her and that is a challenge he is prepared to win.
Brooke and Finn are perfect for each. This story features a great mix of secondary characters that leaves us looking forward to more of this family and this series.
An incredible 5 star read from Melody Anne. Touching on the needs and lives of our Veteran's. The story of Finn Anderson and Brooke Garrison will make you feel proud of those who served but also tug at your heart strings and give you a story that will you move you to the tips of your toes.
Finn didn't know how he was going to come to grips with life outside of the military, until new family member members and a new project was presented to he and his brothers.
Brooke was struggling with the loss of her brother and just existing in life trying to do it one day at a time.
As with all the books featuring Joseph Anderson it is so family oriented, this one however does require tissues.
