“Finn”, by Melody Anne (Montlake Romance), started out as an entertaining story, with relatable characters. Predictable and clichéd, but still enjoyable with the human dimensions, the pain the leads had gone through, with some fairy tale tones, too.
I began to feel frustrated when the hero, whom I was expecting to be wounded, turns into an actor, feigning injuries to conquer the heroine he’s just met but already decided he’s going to marry. The cockiness was a bit irritating and Finn’s behavior idiotic, just as his doctor friend says.
A succession of events against a backdrop of family, friends and happy couples, follow, not really grabbing my interest. Lots of sex scenes, too. I was expecting to read more about the veteran’s center project.
So, not my type of story, others might like it.

This is an offshoot from the original "Anderson Billionaires" series. It was good to catch up with Joseph and a few of his family members as well as a surprise appearance from another character from her another of her series. I liked Finn and his brothers. It was a refreshing change having the hero be the one who is solid in his love and have the heroine, Brooke, be the indecisive one. The chemistry between the two was strong and the relationship between Finn and his brothers was great. The only negative I would comment on was that this was somewhat dragged out in parts where it seemed to be repeating itself.

I was given a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Finn is another romance in the Anderson Billionaires stories. Head of the family Joseph Anderson , estranged from one of his uncles , a really awful con man he wanted nothing to do with learns his uncles wife is dying, he visits her and learns she has five sons who he promises to keep an eye on and help, especially after learning of their childhood. After the death of their mother he invites all the sons to Seattle, each has done well with the loving support off their mother when growing up.
Finn the eldest son has been medical discharged after being injured by a suicide bomber and is finding life difficult being out of the military. Whilst in Seattle he meet Brooke a tough but compassionate ex military medic, he fall instantly in love with her much to the amusement of his brothers. Brooke is still grieving and reeling from the loss of her soldier brother, and although realises there is a great attraction for Finn is frightened of becoming to involved and having her Heart broken again.
Their passion ignites as their relationship develops. A lovely read no great angst or drama but full of humour and a cast of great characters.
My thanks to net galley and publisher Montlake for the opportunity to review this book honestly .

Both Brooke and Finn were fiercely independent. Neither grew up in a home with two loving parents, so neither expected to ever marry or have a family. When they met, it was like a chemical explosion. Despite his prior aversion to marriage, Finn knew right away that Brooke was the one. Brooke, however, was determined to fight her feelings for Finn.

Can two people who have never had the opportunity to witness a happy marriage, and who are fiercely independent compromise enough to find their happily ever after?
