Sometimes I wonder if children's books pack more punch than most adult novels???

This one sure does. Coz even after handling such a sensitive subject, this is truly beautiful but isn't preachy or heavy, just perfect for young kids. This handles same sex marriages in such a perfect way that it will normalise every stigma around it.

It is just full of love and comfort like warm hugs on a cold winter day. It's definitely an important book to teach our kids. Just read it already.

Thank you Netgalley and Vanita Oelschlager for this wonderful book.

This is a great children's story about the way life works when you have two daddies.

A little girl and boy are chatting on the playground. One has lots of questions about what the family looks like when there are two male parents. Who cleans grazed knees, who makes breakfast, who coaches soccer, who tucks you in at night.

This was a lovely story.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing the ARC copy. These are my honest thoughts.

This is an amazingly well-written book for children that breaks the stereotypes of "mommy" duties vs "daddy" duties while also showing how parents in a same-sex relationship can easily parent a child no differently than anyone else.

First off, I think this should be a must-read for every child whether they have heterosexual parents or same-sex parents.

I just loved everything about it!! The message that not all families are the same and that's ok is definitely a message needed for today. Not all children understand why some kids have two mommies or two daddies, so this easy-to-understand book will answer those questions.

Precious picture book aimed for children between the ages of 4 and 8. This book is written as a conversation between two children. The one child has two dads.

This is a sweet little book that teaches that families come in all shapes, sizes and genders. Some families have a mom and a dad, while other may have two daddies. This book teaches that no only is that okay it is also beautiful.

As always thanks to the publisher and netgalley for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review

A Tale of Two Daddies introduces us to a little girl who has two dads, Poppa and Daddy. It shows that, just like any kid lucky enough to have two parents in their life, the two dads have different strengths and tend to different interests and chores. But just like any other kid with two loving parents, both dad's share a lot of responsibilities, too. More and more kids are growing up in what are often considered non-traditional families, and this just shows the beauty of a kid with two loving parents. ❤️

This is a must-have for libraries and schools to help broaden kids' horizons!

[Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!]

As a member of the LGBTQIAP+ community, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for The Tale of Two Mommies and Daddies book. This book beautifully portrays the loving and caring nature of all parents, regardless of their gender. Vanita Oelschlager has done an exceptional job in emphasizing that parents, regardless of their gender, can be there for their children unconditionally.

I also want to extend my appreciation to NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of this book, allowing me the opportunity to experience its heartfelt message before its official release.

Overall, The Tale of Two Mommies and Daddies is an important and inclusive book that not only celebrates diverse family structures but also reinforces the idea that love knows no boundaries. It is a much-needed addition to children's literature and a valuable resource for teaching young readers about the beauty of all types of families.

This was a very sweet book. I have to be honest, it isn’t my favourite on the topic of two daddies, but I think there’s definitely an audience! For me, I just need my rhyming books to scan with a bit more consistency to be honest.

I received a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

I love the sentiment of this book. Who does your braids? who helps when your afraid? Does it really matter if it's Poppa or Daddy? As long as someone is there to do the job. The pictures were great too. I hope this book gets in to the hands of lots of children - especially those with "different" families.

This was a cute book that represented a child with two dads really well, in a way that was easy for my 4 year old to understand and not question. Daddies have the same roles as a mommy and daddy would in a household, and that's a great thing for kids to learn and see. I would have liked to hear maybe the kid asking all the questions saying who does the things in HIS family or something like that, to help them seem more clearly relatable ("my daddy takes me to swim class!" "My daddy does that too!" sort of thing) but otherwise this is a nice addition to any kids bookshelf.

I was hoping for a little bit more depth to this book than what was presented. I was hoping for more of a conversation, something more profound to help children be introduced to and understand the LGBTQIA community like other picture books I’ve read. However, this book read as a long list: “who helps you do this? Papa does.” It wasn’t really groundbreaking or held my interest at all.

A sweet book about a small girl who grows up in a family with two dads. She explains to her friend which dad helps her with specific things, as he keeps asking questions.
It's cute and a nice read with kids.

This was just as cute as a Tale of Two Mommies and I really appreciate that it’s sort of a duology, with a little girl talking about her experience having two dads, I simple and easy to understand language. I would definitely buy both books to stock an elementary school library or gift to a parent of young children. Thank you NetGalley for the ebook to review

Thank you NetGalley and Vanita Books for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This book was cute and age appropriate for young children. Written in the style of children who ask lots of questions (and that was me!) this is definitely based on questions a child might have. However, I would have liked to see more of an explanation somewhere in the book about how all families look different so that there was more explanation about the WHY not just who does what in the family.
