A sweet end of summer read!

I enjoyed Caleb and Catie's story--a forced proximity (at a beach house on the gulf coast, the poor dears ;) ), frenemies-to-lovers, unrequited crush story with a dash of figuring out what you want for yourself vs what your parents have planned.

Plus, did I mention the beach? Oh, and Caleb brought his dog, Mo. I'm not sure what else you could possibly need... ;)

Though this is the third book in the series (Caleb is friends with The First Kiss Hypothesis 's Eli and Love and Other Secrets 's Alex) it would work just fine as a standalone, especially since for the most part it's just Caleb and Catie at the beach house, far away from the other series characters. Except for Mo, of course...but he's not a terribly strict chaperone...

Rating: 4 stars / A-

This was a cute story. I do enjoy a nice contemporary romance and Caleb and Catie were fun characters. I liked their back and forth, the way they both had crushes on each other but didn't want to say anything because they've known each other forever. They also both want different futures than the ones their parents have planned out for them and coming together at the beach house to figure things out is just what they needed.
The pacing was pretty well done and it was a short read. It had it's cute moments and some drama and I had fun reading it. I'll definitely have to check out the first two now!

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This young adult novel is told mostly from Caleb's point of view. His family has relocated from Texas to Florida for business reasons, and he dutifully follows them. Caleb is conflicted: does he want to return to Texas and attend the University of Texas, or should he put Texas and his true aspirations behind him and continue in the role of dutiful son? Then along comes Catie, the daughter of his parents' partners. Their parents have been trying to match them up as a couple for their entire life, but Catie and Caleb just seem to rub each other the wrong way - until they don't. The writing is good, but the characters did not seem real to me. Perhaps there was too much narration and not enough storytelling and dialogue? Still, a good read. I give this a 3.6 out of 5.

Tough life decisions!
Thanks to Entangled Teen and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. Stuck With You by Christina Mandelski!
Caleb’s driving across a few states to spend time alone and getting his focus ready for his college experience that will begin in the fall. He and his dog Mo drive from Florida to Texas so they can spend a quiet week at the beach house on the Gulf of Mexico that his family co-owns with their flooring business partners. When he arrives, he realizes that someone is already there, Catie, the daughter of the business and beach house co-owners. She’s just finished her junior year of high school and is with her two best friends relaxing and having a few fun days at the beach. Catie and Caleb have known each other since they were young children and their families went into business together. The two of them had an annoying sibling-type relationship according to Caleb but Catie had a crush on Caleb for quite a while. Things might be starting to change. They both have life decisions that they need to make and can both use some thinking time and space. Hopefully they won’t get in each other’s way. Cute young adult romance, 4 stars!

Caleb and Catie’s families own a business together however their branches are in different areas. One summer Caleb is hoping to spend some quality time at the beach but finds Catie and her friends have decidedly planned their own vacation.

Caleb feels protective of Catie. Not just because she’s a family friend. What starts as a trip to get away from everyone turns into a trip of self-discovery and finding the person who was already right in front of him.

This is about the summer before you have to grow up.

I enjoyed this read, but at times it was a little slow. The dialect was good and the ending made the story. This series takes an outside the box approach on stories that have done before making them unique. It’s something a little different. This series is worth looking at if you want a slightly different spin on romance. 3.5 stars out of 5.

Stuck with You by Christina Mandelski is the 3rd book in the First Kiss Hypothesis series, and a great young adult love story. Catie and Caleb grew up together, Catie always had a crush on Caleb, but he just thought of her as a pest. There parents were best friends, they ran a business together and shared a vacation house. Caleb goes to the vacation to relax and be alone, but Catie and her girlfriends are already there. Caleb and Catie have planned their lives so they will take over running the family business, but neither of them really want to. I loved this book and the characters, it is fun to watch the individuals mature. I strongly recommended this book for all who enjoy a light young adult read.

I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the Entangled Publishing, LLC. Thank you.

Caleb Gray and Catie Dixon grew up with each other. Their parents own a business together which threw the families together. However, Catie was always the annoying kid following Caleb everywhere. The summer before college Caleb leaves Florida and heads back to the family beach house on the Texas coast to think his future over, but there's one small problem. The summer before Catie's senior year of high school, she is also at the family beach house with her friends, also thinking about her future. The two just want to have these few days to relax and think about their futures, without the other invading their space. However, they are thrown together, and stumble through their decisions with a little help from the other.

This book was a solid read for me. The story was cute and heartwarming. Family friends growing up to being frenemies in the present was an enticing plot and really drew me in! I found myself laughing and smiling in all the right places. Caleb was very protective of Catie which comes off as brotherly affection, just protecting her and keeping an eye on her, until we find out there are his feelings involved. This story had me turning pages quickly, however it did fall a bit short for me.

Overall, it was very enjoyable, but it was very predictable and cliche. Both of the characters are essentially struggling with the same issue in their future, and it is blatantly obvious which path they would choose. The conflict did not seem to cause me to feel any stress for the characters. Also, the story took place within a few days which is realistic, but the way they went from frenemies to being in a relationship was very, very quick, and a little unbelievable. However, the story was interesting and intriguing and it made me want to read the other two books in the series.

This was a very cute read! I liked all of the little moments between Caleb and Catie and I liked Catie's personality and how she didn't put up with any type of attitude. I liked the friendships and the thunderstorm scene and more. This was a four star rating. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read and review!

I'll try to write a longer review later on but I did finally get to read this book despite life stuff. I wanted to at least leave something. Thank you again! I had to check out the first book from my Overdrive to read that next since I didn't read that one but I did read the second one in the past.

"All my life I've been hiding behind my easygoing self--only Catie saw through that. Only Catie saw that I was scared" (chapter 25)

Caleb is about to go to college. He's got his whole life mapped out, so things should be going great for him. Why does he feel uneasy about everything suddenly? A little trip to his family's beach house will help him clear his head and get him back on track. Only thing is, apparently Catie, the daughter of the other family that co-owns the house, had decided to sneak off to the beach house before he got there. It looks like they're stuck together for the week, forced to remember all their good memories from growing up, and all the reasons they hate each other now. It seems a year apart is making them both reconsider that hating part, though...

Such a real part of life is learning what you want to do with yours, and how that fits in with others' expectations of you. I love that Mandelski faces this common struggle for teenagers head on in such a raw way. Caleb and Catie have both grown up with expectations placed on them regarding their future career aspirations. Both of their parents own a business together, so both kids are expected to go to college for business and then take over. But what should they do about their individual dreams that they have been trying to forget about?

Caleb  and Catie are both very blunt with each other and care about each other in such sweet ways. Watching their relationship change and they help each other navigate this confusing season of life was so heart warming and genuine. I hope to soon get a chance to read more of Mandelski's beautiful character developments in her other books!

This book follows Catie and Caleb, two childhood friends who have grown up being told they will end up together. Despite being close friends as children, these two arew apart, leading to their ultimate loss of friendship entirely. But both of them end up at their families’ summer home at the same time and feelings start to arise that they didn’t expect.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I don’t really have any faults for it, but there also wasn’t really anything I loved. YA romance isn’t always something I connect with, but I feel like if you enjoy YA romance, you will enjoy this. Make sure to give it a shot. These characters were lovable and relatable. It explores more than just the romance between these two characters. It also looks into following your heart rather than sticking to the status quo. But as other have said, I feel like the romance didn't really click well for me.

This was the first book I read in this universe, but I enjoyed it so much I'm now going to read the others. I loved Caleb and Catie and their story. The author has built a wonderful set of characters that pulled me in and kept me engrossed until the end. I hope to see more from this author.

OMG what a sweet book!! This story was everything from start to finish. I loved every word in this book. So well done!!

After reading Love and Other Secrets (book two in this series), I was really excited to read Caleb's story. I loved this book so much that once I started, I couldn't put it down!!

Catie and Caleb were basically destined to be together. Their parents are best friends and business partners. Caleb didn't really seem to be down with the destiny set out for him though so before moving to Florida, pushed Catie away. When they both end up at the family beach house for the weekend, they have no choice but to hang together. Over this weekend together, I loved how they pushed each other to acknowledge their goals and acknowledge their feelings for each other.

This YA/NA book was the perfect amount of swoon, sigh, and angst!!

This was a really light and cute book! I couldn't put it down, even though I wish the actual romance had played a bigger part in the story. In my opinion, the plot really focuses on the way their feelings change from innocent/familiar to passionate/unfamiliar.

Stuck with You tells the story of Caleb and Catie, two young adults who are going through an existential crisis. They were childhood best-friends and their parents run a business company together that is soon going to become their responsibility. The problem is that neither of them wants to study business or disappoint their parents by choosing another life path. As you can imagine, Caleb and Catie are terribly confused; I was so sorry for them, because they feel guilty just for wanting something different to what their parents have planned for them!

Now that they are older, however, these two don't get along so well. Maybe it's because Catie had (has?) a huge crush on this boy for years. Maybe it's because Caleb cannot understand why his feelings for her are so contradictory. And yet they end up spending a whole weekend together at the beach house their families share. This wasn't intentional, but now that they have reunited after some time they'll have to face reality. Catie has changed. She's beautiful, sexy and sassier than ever. How long will Caleb be able to ignore the chemistry between them?

If you're a fan of sweet friends-to-lovers romance books with a couple of spicy scenes, then give Stuck with You a try. You'll keep reading until you get to the last page and then you'll wish you had a Caleb in your life!

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

This book was such a quick read, and I found myself unable to put it down - it was good I didn't really have anything planned for the day, otherwise I don't know what I would've done. In Stuck With You, Caleb has took himself off to the family beach house, hoping to spend a few days with just his thoughts and his dog, and get to grips with what is happening in his life. His whole life has been planned out by his parents - he's going to go to college on a sports scholarship, studying business, and then one day take over the stores his family own with long time friends, the Dixons. However, he arrives at the beach house and Catie Dixon, his old best friend since they were in nappies, and someone who gets on his nerves, has interrupted his fun, and is adamant she's not leaving until she's had a break too. While they're stuck together, they slowly start to realise that their friendship wasn't worth losing all those years ago, when Caleb moved to Florida, and that they are actually better off as more than friends. They also learn what they want in the future, and work with each other in order to plan just how to tell their parents they don't want to join the family business.

Both of the main characters were fantastic. I felt more of a connection to Caleb, which isn't what I normally find. Caleb's whole life seems to have been planned out, but while in Texas, he gets talking to a local professor, and realises that business is not in the books for him, and faces a proper struggle on whether to go with his gut or with his family wishes. The same actually goes for Catie, whose parents also plan on her going to university - a year later - to study business, but that's not for her either. Both of the characters, even though they 'hated' each other at first, care enough about the other to not jeopardise their freedom by being selfish and doing what they wanted - one of them will study business, and both want it to be them, and not the other.

The romance was actually on the back burner, I felt, in this book, with the rediscovery of friendship and look towards the future playing a bigger role. However, it was such a cute friends-to-lovers relationship, and even though their mothers had neigh on planned their wedding as babies, they still know that there will be a bit of a fall out when the revelation is revealed.

After reading this book, I realised I have a copy of book 1 to review too, and think I'll be getting to that asap, and try to get a copy of book 2, too. Definitely a contemporary author I enjoyed.

It's a sweet and romantic story where two childhood friends and teenage frenemies fall in love. It's very well-written and I loved both the main characters very much.
Caleb is starting college soon. He is going to study business and take over his family's business someday. His future is all set. He has made his commitment and it doesn't matter that his heart wants something else entirely. This is why he decides to stay at their family's beach house for a week and sort out his thoughts. The house is co-owned by their family friends. As he reaches the beach house he finds out that Catie is already there with her friends.
Catie had no idea that Caleb would be at the beach house too. She had gone there without telling anyone just to have fun before her senior year at school started. Now, Caleb is there and he is definitely going to tell her parents. So, she finds a perfect excuse and it is decided that they can both stay there while Caleb looks after her and her friends. She hates the thought. It's not like she is a kid or something. But they are stuck now and she plans to have fun no matter what. She is also going through a tough phase and trying to figure out her future. Caleb only complicates things. Will they both survive a week together or are they going to get on each other's nerves every time they are in the same room? Only time will tell...
I enjoyed reading this story and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good YA novel.

A sweet read about two teenagers trying to figure out if they want to follow in their parents' footsteps and if their attraction could be something more.

Caleb and Catie both are expected to go to college and then work in the flooring company that their parents, all best friends from college, started. Their doubts about wanting to do that and deciding if they should follow their own dreams. That part felt incredibly realistic answer the fact that they both been attracted to each other at different times and their timing had just not ever matched up.

The book did feel a little longer than necessary, and the plot drug in a few places at the beginning especially. Overall though a nice summer YA read!

Stuck With You is actually a third book in Christina Mandelski's First Kiss series. I haven't read the other ones, but I didn't find that I needed to. I felt like this one was a complete story and was easy to follow. The story is about Catie and Caleb, two teens whose lives are entwined because their parents own a flooring company together and both are expected to take over the company someday. The problem is that Catie used to have a massive crush on Caleb, and neither of them actually wants to take over the company.

I really liked the stuff with self-discovery with both Catie and Caleb coming to terms with them really not wanting to do "the plan." They both struggle with it because they want to meet their parents expectations, but it's killing them. I found this so relatable, and I'm sure other teens getting ready to figure out college or their next career path could relate to this too.

I wasn't completely sold on the romance. I definitely bought it because we get the background that Catie always had a thing for Caleb, but I didn't completely buy it from Caleb. He was SO mean to her in the past, but now all of a sudden he is "seeing her for the first time." Eh...I wasn't really buying it that much.

The book is a little short, but it's easy to get through and it's a fun YA contemporary. HEA too!
